A first rod electrode set has a first center axis, into which ions and air current are introduced. A second rod electrode set has a second center axis at a distance from the first center axis, from which the ions are discharged. A power supply applies voltages to the first rod electrode set and the second rod electrode set. The first rod electrode set and the second rod electrode set have a region where the sets overlap each other in the longitudinal direction, and form a single multipole ion guide by being combined to each other in the region. Different offset DC voltages are applied to the first rod electrode set and the second rod electrode set, respectively, and a DC potential for moving the ions to the second rod electrode set in the region is formed, the ions having been guided by the first rod electrode set.

Ion guide and mass spectrometer using same

An ion mobility separation device includes: an ion source that generates an ion; a pair of flat-plate electrodes having an introduction opening and a discharge opening for the ion generated by the ion source; a pump for causing the ion introduced via the introduction opening of the pair of flat-plate electrodes to travel toward the discharge opening; a voltage control unit that applies an asymmetric time-varying voltage and a direct-current voltage to the pair of flat-plate electrodes; a plurality of detectors disposed in a direction orthogonal to both an ion travel direction due to the pump and an applied direction of the asymmetric time-varying voltage; and a signal processing unit that processes a signal detected by the plurality of detectors. The voltage control unit performs a total transmission measurement involving application of the voltages to the pair of flat-plate electrodes so as to generate equal fields at least at two different points in the direction orthogonal to both the ion travel direction due to the pump and the applied direction of the asymmetric time-varying voltage. Compared to conventional technology, both high accuracy and high throughput are achieved in an asymmetric field application-type ion mobility separation device.

Ion mobility separation device

A mass spectrometer device comprising an ion mobility separation device and a mass spectrometer that are coupled together. In order to achieve high efficiency, high throughput, and high sensitivity, the mass spectrometer is provided with: a first flow passagewaythrough which ions from an ion sourceare introduced into the mass spectrometerby passing through an ion mobility separation unita second flow passagewaythrough which the ions from the ion source are introduced into the mass spectrometer without passing through the ion mobility separation unit; and a switch means, such as shield unitsfor switching between the first flow passagewayand the second flow passageway

An analysis system is provided with: a storage unit that stores first information associating mass spectrometry result information with an analysis condition concerning ion mobility separation; and a control unit that determines, as a first analysis condition for an ion to be measured, the analysis condition associated with the mass spectrometry result information of the first information corresponding to the mass spectrometry result information of the ion to be measured.

Analysis system

When initializing a card-shaped device inserted in a card interface, operation mode acquiring means incorporated in an electronic device acquires operation mode information, stored in a register file incorporated in the card-shaped device, by a predetermined procedure using a predetermined pin. Operation mode setting means incorporated in the electronic device executes signal assignment on a plurality of data pins peculiar to an operation mode indicated by the acquired operation mode information, thereby switching a data transfer width, and allowing the card-shaped device to operate in the operation mode.

A mass spectrometry device that can perform highly robust, highly sensitive, and low-noise analysis and addresses the problems of preventing reductions in ion transfer efficiency and of suppressing the introduction of noise components from droplets, etc. An ion source generates ions, a vacuum chamber is evacuated by an evacuation means and for analyzing the mass of ions, and an ion introduction electrode introduces ions into the vacuum chamber. The ion introduction electrode has an ion-source-side front-stage pore, a vacuum-chamber-side rear-stage pore, and an intermediate pressure chamber between the front-stage pore and the rear-stage pore, the cross-sectional area of an ion inlet of the intermediate pressure chamber is larger than the cross-sectional area of the front-stage pore, the position of the central axis of the front-stage pore and the position of the central axis of the rear-stage pore are eccentric, and the cross-sectional area of an ion outlet of the intermediate pressure chamber is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the ion inlet.

Mass spectrometry device

Provided is an ion source achieving high sensitivity and high robustness while executing a plurality of types of ionization schemes. To this end, a hybrid ion source () includes: a chamber (); a first ion source () to spray a sample solution () for ionization; a second ion source () to ionize droplets and/or a gas component sprayed from the first ion source (); a first electrode () to introduce a first ion () generated by the first ion source (), and a second ion generated by the second ion source (); and an exhaust pump () that generates air flow () in a direction from a first space area () where the first ion () is generated to a second space area () in the second ion source () where the second ion is generated.

Hybrid ion source, mass spectrometer, and ion mobility device

In order to achieve an ionization method of high robustness with a small carry-over or less crosstalk, an ionization method is disclosed. A method includes the steps of: joining an ionization unit to a tube; sucking the sample from a sample container into a sample holder of the ionization unit to hold the sample; moving the ionization unit holding the sample to near the ionization unit using an ionization unit drive unit; and applying a voltage to the ionization unit using a power supply to ionize the sample by electrostatically spraying the sample from the holding unit.

Ionization method, ionization apparatus, and mass analysis system

In an ion mobility separation device, there are problems that while arraying of separation electrodes and flow paths is restricted, time required for scanning correction voltages becomes longer and the throughput is reduced when the correction voltages are set in detail. These problems are solved for example by the following means. Namely, an ion mobility separation device characterized in that: at least one of a pair of plate electrodes has a first electrode section having a first conductivity, a second electrode section having a second conductivity, and a third electrode section interposed between the first electrode section and the second electrode section, wherein the third electrode section has a third conductivity smaller than the first conductivity and the second conductivity; the first electrode section, the second electrode section and the third electrode section are aligned in a direction perpendicular to a flow path; and a voltage controller applies different direct-current voltages to the first electrode section and the second electrode section.

An object of the present invention is to prevent lowering of introduction efficiency of ions and to reduce labor for a cleaning operation. In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a mass spectrometer where ion introduction hole of an electrode is divided into a first region, a second region, and a third region, a central axis direction of the ion introduction hole in both or either one of the first region and the third region is different from a flow direction axis of the ion inside the ion introduction hole in the second region, and axes of the ion introduction hole in the first region and the third region are in an eccentric position relationship.

In one embodiment, a system having a non-volatile programmable memory and a controller is provided. The system has data pins that are configured to be accessed in one of a first mode and a second mode such that, in the first mode, the system receives information using one of the data pins and, in the second mode, the system receives information using four of the data pins. The system also has a command pin that is configured to receive a first command, a second command, and a third command, the first command requesting a current operation mode of the data pins, the second command requesting operation voltage information of the system, and the third command setting the system into one of the first and second modes. Additionally, the system has a power signal pin configured to receive power for the system.

Programmable memory system

When initializing a device, an operation mode of the device is acquired and stored by a predetermined procedure using a predetermined pin. In response to a command, the device executes a signal assignment on a plurality of data pins peculiar to an operation mode indicated by the received command, thereby switching a data transfer width, and allowing the device to operate in the operation mode designated by the received command.
