In an electrostatic separating apparatus which separates supplied substances containing sheet-like substances into conductive substances and insulating substances by using electrostatic force and corona discharge together, a ground electrode unit has a carrier belt tensioned for a plurality of rotation rollers. An opposite electrode unit is provided with a first electrostatic electrode, a corona electrode, and a second electrostatic electrode in this order from a supply side of the supplied substances. A removing unit separates and removes the insulating substances attached to the ground electrode unit.

Electrostatic separating apparatus

A hollow rotating drum,is provided in an oblique manner and is rotated by two pairs of rollers,. A size classification unit,is provided in the vicinity of a center of the rotating drum in a lengthwise direction of the drum, and water is added from a water addition unit,. An object to be moisturized is supplied from an opening on an upper portion of the rotating drum in a supplying direction,of the object. Then, the object is moved spirally within the rotating drum to be moisturized. An object, i.e., a moisture-processed substance having a size equal to or smaller than the predetermined size is classified by the size classification unit to be continuously discharged in a direction,of movements of the moisture-processed substance. Also, an object, i.e., residue having a larger size than the predetermined size, is continuously discharged from an opening on an underside of the rotating drum in a direction,of movements of the residue.

A combination of a dehydration process for dehydrating sewage sludge by mixing a quicklime-containing material with the sludge, a cement conversion process for introducing the solids produced by the dehydration process into a cement kiln with other cement raw materials to yield cement, and a gas treatment process for introducing gases generated in the dehydration process into a cement burning process, thereby enabling conversion of the sewage sludge into cement without releasing wastes, with a reduction in fuel consumption for the cement burning, and a reduction in NOx content of the exhaust gas.

Method for the disposal of aqueous sewage sludge

There is disclosed a softy mud solidifying agent which comprises cement, and at least two members selected from the group consisting of pozzolanic substances, inorganic compounds and organic compounds. The solidifying agent is capable of solidifying dredged earth, sand, softy mud, etc. in such a manner that their mixture can be re-cast into water to form submerged banks, artificial fish-gathering places, etc., without causing water pollution.
