A pressure measurement method using a pressure measuring film in which a toner layer with a definite thickness is held between an adhesive layer formed on a first support and an inactive adhesive layer formed on a second support. Prior to applying the pressure to be measured to the measuring film, the inactive adhesive layer is activated to have an adhesive property. After pressure to be measured is applied to the film, the first support is removed and the applied pressure is determined based on the amount of toner attached to the second support. Using a toner having extremely small size, an extremely low pressure applied to an extremely small contact area can be measured. Also the pressure measuring film is not affected by use conditions (temperature, humidity). The inactive adhesive layer may be formed of a thermoplastic resin adhesive which can be activated by heating to become adhesive.

Pressure measuring film for measuring pressure in small contact area

A method for measuring a pressure between a pair of pressing surfaces in point or linear contact with each other by utilizing a pressure measuring film which causes a pressurized portion thereof to develop a color in proportion with the pressure applied. An elastic sheet is disposed between the pressing surface having the point/linear contact portion and the pressure measuring film so as to decrease the pressure transmitted and applied to the pressure measuring film. The pressure distribution obtained from the colored image formed on the pressure measuring film is used to determine the actual maximum pressure applied between the pressing surfaces. It is possible to measure the large pressure which falls in or exceeds the measurable pressure range of the pressure measuring film.

Method for measuring pressure higher than measurable range of pressure measuring film

A method and a laminated member for measuring the dimension of a gap for passing a card therethrough are provided. A pressure measuring film is superposed on an elastic mat that gradually becomes thinner in the card-inserting direction, and passed through the gap so as to determine the dimension of the gap from the position where the pressure measuring film has started to develop a color. As the elastic mat, one that has a thickness changing in steps may be used. An alternative embodiment uses a pressure measuring board in place of the pressure measuring film, the pressure measuring board having plural pressure sensors for electrically detecting pressures applied in the direction of width. The data on the pressures detected by the pressure sensors is temporarily stored in a memory provided on the pressure measuring board, and after the passage through the gap, the contents of the memory are transferred to an external host computer via a wiring cable or in a contactless fashion via an antenna, and the pressure distribution is analyzed by the external host computer.

Method and laminated member for measuring gap dimension

A radiation image information processing system subjects a radiation image to certain signal processing so as to obtain image signal and generates a visible image from the image signal. A support apparatus for the system is composed principally of a control unit, a radiation signal storage unit, a display and a keyboard. When a fault occurs in the radiation image information processing system, a support apparatus is connected to a control apparatus of the system. The fault of the system is detected by the support system, which generates a fault detection signal. An image signal which leads to occurrence of the fault or the like is stored in a memory and thereafter, the analysis of the fault is carried out based on the contents stored. In view of the analyzed contents, the fault is removed and hence the system is recovered.

Support apparatus for use with radiation image information processing

A radiation image storage and reproduction system includes a radiation image read-out device for reading out a radiation image stored in a stimulable phosphor sheet to obtain digital image data of the radiation image; an image-concomitant information input device for inputting information of a forwarding address and/or an information of a image processing operation for the digital image data; an image processing device for processing the digital image data; a display device for visually reproducing the radiation image from the digital image data; and an image filing device for storing the digital image data. In one embodiment all of the above devices are connected to an image forwarding-processing controller device for deciding a forwarding address of the digital image data based on the information of the forwarding address and for forwarding the digital image data to the decided address and/or for deciding a processing or processing to be applied to the digital image data based on the information of the image processing operation.

Radiation image storage and reproduction system

A radiation image information processing system processes a radiation-transmission image, such as an X-ray image of a human body, into an image signal, and records or displays the image signal as a visible image. When a fault occurs in the radiation image information processing system during operation thereof, a support device is connected to a control device of the system. The fault is detected by the support device, which generates a fault detection signal. An address in the image data processing program which is executed by the CPU of the control device is stored in the support device in response to the fault detection signal. The support device can also be used when a function of the system is to be altered or a new function is to be added to the system.

Fault detection and recovery device used in a radiation imaging

A radiation image displaying apparatus comprises an interface connected to an image signal gathering apparatus, which obtains an image signal by reading out a radiation image, and to an image signal storage device, which stores the image signal, an image processor for image-processing the image signal, a storage section for storing the image signal, and an image displaying section for reproducing and displaying a radiation by use of the image signal. An image signal extracting section processes the image signal in order to decrease the number of picture elements in the radiation image, which are represented by the image signal, thereby generating a condensed image signal which represents an outline of the radiation image. The storage section stores both the image signal, which is received from the image signal gathering apparatus or from the image storage device, and the condensed image signal generated by the image signal extracting section from the image signal.

Radiation image displaying apparatus

A radiation image information reading apparatus photoelectrically reads radiation image information from a recording medium such as a stimulable phosphor sheet. Reading conditions and/or image processing conditions are established on the basis of the radiation image information which has been read from the recording medium. Whether the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions fall outside of a predetermined range or not, is determined. If the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions fall outside of the predetermined range, the radiation image information and data used to establish the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions is held in storage.

Radiation image information reading apparatus

An image filing apparatus is constituted for filing image signals on an optical disk, and filing image retrieval signals corresponding to the image signals on a magnetic disk, thereby to construct an image retrieval data base. The image filing apparatus is provided with a system for copying the image retrieval signals back and forth between the magnetic disk and a data base filing optical disk fed to a disk drive unit for operating the optical disk.

A radiation image information processing system includes an image reader for reading radiation image information and converting the same to image data represented by a digital signal, an image output apparatus for producing the image data as a visible image, an image filing apparatus for recording the image data together with retrievel data therefor on a randomly accessible recording medium and for reading the image data from the recording medium based on the retrieval data, and an image processing controller for controlling the image reader, the image output apparatus, and the image filing apparatus and processing the image data. The image data is produced by the image output apparatus and simultaneously stored in the recording medium by the image filing apparatus.

Radiation image information processing system

A radiation image read-out and displaying apparatus comprises an image signal gathering section and an image processing and displaying section. The image signal gathering section comprises an image reader for obtaining an image signal which represents a radiation image, a code reader for obtaining a code signal which identifies the radiation image, and a device for entering an instruction signal representing how to treat the image signal. The image processing and displaying section comprises a device for receiving the image signal, the code signal and the instruction signal sent from the image signal gathering section, an image processor for processing the image signal, a storage device for storing the image signal, and a device for reproducing and dislaying a radiation image by using the processed image signal. When the code signal and image signal corresponding to an insruction signal are obtained, how the image signal is treated is based on the instruction signal.
