A stand device for a motorcycle includes an interlocking mechanism having a coil-formed stand spring connected to a stand at one end thereof. A spring support member has a spring support portion connected with the other end of the stand spring and is interlocked and connected to an operating element so that the position of the spring support portion can be changed according to a manual operation of an operating element. The position of the spring support portion determined according to the operation of the operating element toward the erect position side is so set that the stand spring is put in the state of urging the stand toward the erect position side.

Stand device for motorcycle

Sliding of a seat or reclining of a seat back can be disabled, except when a rider intends to slide the seat or recline the seat back. The motion of an auxiliary bar which permits sliding of a seat is inhibited by an interlocking lock member. An operating piece cannot be raised and hence it is impossible to slide the seat. An engine key is inserted into a first lock mechanism and is turned, causing the interlocking lock member to slide up to a position permitting operation of the operating piece. In addition, a lever of a second lock mechanism faces a reclining lever, so that the reclining lever cannot turn clockwise around a rivet bolt and a pawl remains engaged with any of first to third recesses. If the lever of the second lock mechanism is turned, the reclining lever can be pulled to release the reclining locked condition.

Longitudinally slidable seat structure for two- or three-wheeled vehicle

A load receiving pipe extends from a separate frame and has a closed portion at the extremity thereof. A meter unit is disposed immediately behind the closed portion. Accordingly, the meter unit can be accommodated in a limited space in front of a handle post cover and behind the load receiving pipe, and the probability that a load on the load receiving pipe comes into contact with the meter unit can be avoided. Therefore, the appearance of the front portion of a vehicle body can be improved while improving the load receiving capacity at the front of the vehicle body.

Front structure of motorcycle

A frame assembly for a motorized vehicle includes a vehicle body frame with an upper frame, a lower basket frame integrally attached to and extending downwardly from the upper frame, and an auxiliary frame which is separate from and operatively attached to the vehicle body frame. The upper frame includes a head pipe, a tubular main frame section attached to the head pipe, a pair of seat rails extending rearwardly in a divergent fashion from the main frame section, and a rear crossbar interconnecting the seat rails at rear portions thereof. The lower basket frame comprises left and right down tubes extending downwardly in a divergent fashion from the head pipe, a pair of left and right lower pipes extending rearwardly from lower ends of the respective down tubes, and a pair of medial frame sections extending between rear ends of the lower pipes and the seat rails. The auxiliary frame has a width substantially equal to a distance between the left and right lower pipes.

Motorized vehicle, and related frame structure

A motorcycle with a seat frame and seat attached to a seat post. The seat frame is covered with the seat as viewed from above and is structured so as to hold an article in an exposed state thereon to form an article accommodating space below the seat. The rear wheel of the motorcycle is driven by a motor to which power is supplied from a battery. The voltage of the battery is converted by a charging and voltage conversion section to supply power to electrical equipment. The charging and voltage conversion section is attached in an exposed state to a vehicle body frame. A battery for supplying power to a motor is provided with a charging and voltage conversion apparatus for charging the battery. A charging cable for energizing the charging and voltage conversion apparatus is disposed in a hollow portion of a vehicle body frame.

Under-seat structure for a motorcycle

An air cleaner device is provided for a scooter-type vehicle which can prevent foreign substances from entering an air intake port of an air cleaner even when the air cleaner is arranged at a position out of protection of the vehicle body cover. An air intake port cover covers the air intake port of the air cleaner and also covers a cooling air suction port of the power unit. The leakage of suction sound from the cooling air suction port can be prevented simultaneously.

Air cleaner apparatus for scooter-type vehicle

A motorcycle having a loading space for stably loading luggage. Luggage may be loaded onto a rear loading space with the luggage being fixed by fastening a rope to a grab rail. A seat back is provided that also functions as a passenger seat. When only one person rides, luggage can be loaded onto the rear space and can be fastened by hanging the luggage on a hook directly or indirectly using the rope. As the hook disappears when a seat back that also functions as a passenger seat is positioned to be substantially horizontal, the appearance quality is not damaged. Therefore, luggage can be stably loaded and a larger quantity of luggage can be carried by the motorcycle. Left and right slider are provided for permitting free longitudinal movement of the seat from a substantially horizontal position to a raised position.

Motorcycle seat structure

A fuel supply port portion incorporates tank fittings such as a fuel pump and a residual fuel meter unit integrally therein as a tank fittings assembly. The fuel supply port portion is formed as a separate body from a tank body of a fuel tank and is removably attached to the tank body. The structure of the tank body can be simplified, and in the case where the tank body is made of a resin, it is not necessary to perform an insert molding operation. Consequently, it is possible to fabricate the tank body easily and also possible to thin the tank body, thereby ensuring a sufficient capacity of the fuel tank. Further, since tank fittings mounting portions are concentrated in the fuel supply port portion, it is possible to assemble the fuel tank in an efficient manner.

Vehicular fuel tank structure

To provide a small-sized vehicle in which a convenient pocket is provided in a single driver's seat portion. Furthermore, a brake master cylinder is disposed by making effective use of space without reduction of the capacity of the pocket, and the maintenance of a reservoir tank of the brake master cylinder thus disposed is ensured. A meter cover portion is disposed in a pocket of an inner panel at a position offset rightwardly from the center in the width direction of the vehicular body to form small and large capacity pocket parts on the right and left sides of the vehicle. A brake pedal is disposed on the right side of a steering column extending in an approximate center line in the width direction of the vehicular body, and a brake master cylinder connected to the brake pedal is disposed behind the meter cover portion. Such a layout is advantageous since it allows a driver to easily operate the pedals while ensuring the pocket capacity. Furthermore, the layout allows connection of the brake pedal to the brake master cylinder in series with a simple mechanism.

Small-sized vehicle

A painting device functional testing apparatus for testing functions of painting devices of a painting apparatus comprises the same devices as the painting apparatus and a paint supply system having the same pipe configuration as the painting apparatus. The functions of each device of the painting apparatus are tested by replacing one of the devices by a new device to be installed in the painting apparatus, measuring the pressure at the paint supply side and the paint exhaust side of the replaced device, and detecting the pressure variation of the replaced device.

Method for testing functions of painting apparatus and apparatus for the same

A shock absorbing stroke in the front portion of a vehicle body is to be made large. Between right and left front wheels are disposed longitudinally extending side beams and center beam, and these three beams are integrally connected by connecting members in front of a cross member. A shock dispersing plate is attached to the said integral connection and the back thereof is brought into abutment with a floor portion formed of a resin.

Body frame assembly in a small-sized vehicle

A vehicle frame is to be made compact. A rectangular frame portion includes a vehicle body frame having front wheels supported thereon through leading arms and rear wheels supported thereon through trailing arms. Both front and rear wheels are suspended by front and rear shock absorbers. The heights of pivot points are set almost equal to the heights of the rectangular frame portion. A battery is accommodated in the space defined by the rectangular frame portion and the rear portion of the vehicle body is extended to overhang a swing power unit assembly.

A control apparatus of an electric vehicle for effectively limiting the operation of the vehicle when it is determined that a driver of the electric vehicle is not sitting in the seat and an accelerator opening of the electric vehicle is in a position corresponding to a minimum value. A motor driving enablement circuit generates a motor driving command which selectively limits operation of the electric vehicle in accordance with these determinations. In addition, when a state in which the driver is not occupying the seat continues for a period of time exceeding a predetermined value, a motor halt controller issues a motor halt command for halting a motor of the electric vehicle. Based on the motor driving enablement command and the motor halt command, a power supply controller controls the supply of power to the motor of the electric vehicle.
