A cylinder head in an internal combustion engine includes a cylinder head main body in which a plurality of combustion chambers is arranged and a pipe member that extends along a direction in which the combustion chambers are arranged, through which a refrigerant flows, and which is embedded in the cylinder head main body. The pipe member is provided with a curved portion that is curved and the curved portion is provided with a throttle region in which a sectional area is partially reduced.

Cylinder head for internal combustion engine

A cylinder internal pressure sensor includes: a housing; a diaphragm having flexibility and being joined to one end of the housing; a sensor element configured to change an output signal according to deformation of the diaphragm; and an opposed member housed inside the housing so as to face the diaphragm. The opposed member defines a housing room between the diaphragm and the opposed member, and includes: a cylindrical tube part being a layered structure with an inner tube and an outer tube; and a seal part provided inside the tube part. The sensor element is fixed to the seal part. The tube part is provided with a spring rate reducing portion that is provided between the diaphragm and a position where the inner tube and the outer tube are joined together.

Electrically heated catalyst device and its manufacturing method

In a fuel injection valve having a nozzle hole plate wherein a nozzle hole is formed, the nozzle hole is formed with a flow path cross-section having an oval shape that has long axes and short axes, and the nozzle hole is formed having a tapered shape in which a flow path sectional area becomes larger from an entry-side open end portion toward an exit-side open end portion. The nozzle hole is formed such that a second angle that is an intersecting angle of opposing nozzle hole inner wall surface portions in an oblique section along the short axes of the entry-side open end portion and the exit-side open end portion, is greater than a first angle that is an intersecting angle of opposing nozzle hole inner wall surface portions in a longitudinal section along the long axes of the entry-side open end portion and the exit-side open end portion.

Fuel injection valve

An electrically heated catalyst device includes a catalyst support supporting a catalyst, a surface electrode disposed on an outer surface of the catalyst support and extending in an axis direction of the catalyst support, a wiring line member including a root section extending in the axis direction of the catalyst support and comb teeth-like wiring lines extending from the root section in a circumferential direction of the catalyst support and fixed to the surface electrode, an outer cylinder covering an outer surface of the catalyst support, and a holding member holding the catalyst support and packed between the catalyst support and the outer cylinder, in which the catalyst support is heated by feeding a current through the surface electrode and the wiring line member. At least a plurality of through-holes or a plurality of protrusions are formed in the root section covered by the holding member.

A clutch is provided with a drive-side rotational body and a driven-side rotational body, which can move in the axial direction between a coupled position and a decoupled position. The driven-side rotational body has a groove having a helical portion and an annular portion that is deeper than the helical portion. The driven-side rotational body is urged toward the coupled position by an urging member. The driven-side rotational body is moved to the decoupled position against the urging force of the urging member by insertion of a pin into the helical portion. A projection is provided on the tip of the pin, and a recessed groove for accommodating the projection when the pin is inserted into the helical portion is provided in the bottom surface of the helical portion.

An electrically heated catalyst device includes a catalyst support, a surface electrode disposed on an outer surface of the catalyst support and extending in an axis direction of the catalyst support, a wiring line member including a root section extending in the axis direction of the catalyst support and comb teeth-like wiring lines extending from the root section in a circumference direction of the catalyst support and fixed to the surface electrode, an outer cylinder covering an outer surface of the catalyst support, and a holding member holding the catalyst support and packed between the catalyst support and the outer cylinder, in which the catalyst support is heated by feeding a current through the surface electrode and the wiring line member. A slit extending from an outer edge in the circumferential direction of the catalyst support is formed in the root section of the wiring line member.

A solenoid-operated fuel injection valve includes a container into which fuel is introduced, a needle member that is disposed in the container and that moves longitudinally, and an electromagnetic controller provided with first and second magnetic circuits through which suction forces can be controlled independently of each other. The electromagnetic controller changes an area of a fuel flow passage defined as a space between an inner surface of the container and an outer surface of the needle member by moving the needle member by means of the suction forces. The fuel injection valve may provide two limit strokes to achieve variable injection rates.

Solenoid-operated fuel injection valve

A vacuum casting apparatus secures gas tightness of the die cavity without welding together a straight-tubular stalk and a flange or flanges, thus permitting an excellent quality casting. A flange is mounted on an outer periphery of a stalk, and secured between a gas-tight chamber and a die, forming a recess bounded by the die, a surface of the flange, and an outer surface of the stalk. The space inside the chamber is evacuated to a first degree of vacuum so that molten metal is withdrawn into the stalk and overflows the end of the stalk, and flows into the recess. Molten metal in the recess cools and solidifies to form a gas-tight seal between the stalk and the flange. Then, the space inside the chamber is evacuated to a second degree of vacuum and molten metal is withdrawn through the stalk and into the cavity of the die.

Vacuum casting apparatus and method using flange-free stalk

A vacuum casting apparatus secures gas tightness of the die cavity without welding together a straight-tubular stalk and a flange or flanges, thus permitting an excellent quality casting. Two flanges are mounted in a mutually spaced-apart relation on an outer periphery of a stalk, and secured between a gas-tight chamber and a die. The gas-tight chamber is fitted on the die from above to form a gas-tight space between the two flanges. The space is evacuated to a pressure close to an inner pressure formed in a cavity of the die during vacuum casting. Thus, air that intrudes into the cavity of the die through small gaps between the flanges and the stalk is reduced, thereby preventing casting defects which might otherwise result. An end of the stalk inserted into the die is also spread to bring an outer periphery of the stalk into close contact with an inner periphery of a flange mounted on the stalk. A first degree of vacuum is applied to the gas-tight chamber to draw molten metal through the stalk to a level above the insertion end of the stalk, and below an inlet of the die cavity, so that the molten metal cools and forms a gas-tight seal about the insertion end of the stalk, before a second degree of vacuum is applied to withdraw molten metal into the die cavity.

Vacuum casting apparatus using flange-free stalk

A suction casting apparatus is disclosed, which comprises a ventilating casting die, a chamber box and a surface peat for supporting the casting die and chamber box. The surface plate has a a through hole for passing a stalk therethrough, and its surface is formed with grooves which extend from the through hole to an area outside a die mounting area and inside a chamber box mounting area. External air entering through a sealed clearance between the surface plate and the stalk and combustion gas generated from the casting die are quickly led through the grooves into the chamber inner space to be quickly exhausted to the outside.
