A power tool, such as a hammer drill (), has first and second battery mount parts (A,B) that are aligned in a longitudinal direction of the power tool. First and second batteries (A,B) are mountable thereon in series along a straight line that extends in the longitudinal direction. The first battery (A) is mounted on the first battery mount part (A) by sliding along the straight line towards the second battery mount part (B). The second battery (B) is mounted on the second battery mount part (B) by sliding along the straight line towards the first battery mount part (A).

Power tool

A power tool () comprises a motor () operably driving a tool bit (), a tool body () housing the motor (), a handle () coupled to the tool body (), and at least two battery mount parts (A,B) defined on the handle () and/or the tool body (). Each of the battery mount parts (A,B) comprises a battery engaging part () configured to detachably engage with battery packs (A,B) by sliding the battery packs (A,B) relative to the battery engaging part () in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tool bit (). In a state in which at least one of the battery packs (A,B) is mounted on at least one of the battery mount parts (A,B), a length of the mounted battery in a driving axis extending direction is shorter than a length of the mounted battery in a cross direction.

A power tool () comprises a motor () operably driving a tool bit (), a tool body () housing the motor (), a handle () coupled to the tool body (), and at least two battery mount parts (A,B) defined on the handle () and/or the tool body (). Each of the battery mount parts (A,B) comprises a battery engaging part () configured to detachably engage with battery packs (A,B) by sliding the battery packs (A,B) relative to the battery engaging part () in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tool bit ().

A user can replace a battery smoothly. A portable lighting apparatus includes a guide pipe, a pole supported on the guide pipe in a manner movable in a vertical direction parallel to a central axis of the guide pipe, at least one light emitter at an upper end of the pole, a collar surrounding the guide pipe, a plurality of legs pivotally connected to the collar, and a battery mount located in an upper part of the guide pipe.

A dust collection device, that collects dust particles generated by an impact tool, has a feature that enables the attachment of the device to the impact tool, which is not provided with an attachment section for the device. The dust collection device has a tool body and an auxiliary handle, attached removably to the tool body, and is attached to an electric hammer that, in the lengthwise direction, linearly operates a tool bit mounted to the tip region of the tool body, and collects dust generated by the electric hammer. The dust collection device has: a dust collection unit that has a dust intake port at the tip; a dust collection hose, connected to the dust collection unit, for transferring dust to the downstream side; and a hose-holding unit that holds the dust collection hose. The hose-holding unit can be attached to and removed from the auxiliary handle.

Dust collecting device and impact tool

An object of the invention is to provide an impact tool improved in vibration-proofing structure of a handle. A representative impact tool has a tool body and handle. The handle has a handle body and pair of grips that extend in a direction crossing an axial direction of a tool accessory, designed to be held by user's right and left hands. The handle body has a first part to which the grips are connected in a fixed manner and a second part that is connected to the tool body in a fixed manner. The first part is supported against the tool body via an elastic member and is allowed to move with respect to the tool body and the second part while being biased by an elastic force of the elastic member. A current supply cable, supplying current to a motor, is installed on the second part.

Impact tool

Disclosed is a feature that collects dust particles that arise from a processing operation of an impact tool. The dust collection device collects dust that arises from of a processing operation and is attached to the impact tool that performs a pre-determined processing operation on a processed member by way of a tool bit mounted to the tip region of the tool body being linearly operated at least in the lengthwise direction. The dust collection device has a dust collection unit of which the tip opens as a dust intake port and the contour shape is formed unevenly around the long axis of the tool bit. The position of the dust collection unit is freely selected around the long axis of the tool bit, and it is possible to cause the position to change around the long axis of the bit.

It is an object of the invention to provide a technique for adapting to the length of a tool bit mounted to a power tool when tool bits of different lengths are selectively used by replacement to perform an operation, in a dust collecting device for collecting dust generated by operation of the power tool. A dust collecting deviceis attached to a power tooland collects dust generated by operation. The dust collecting deviceincludes a dust collecting part that covers a tool bitover a predetermined range in the axial direction and collects dust generated by operation. The dust collecting part is formed in one of a first form and a second form which is arbitrarily selected. In the first form, the dust collecting part is formed by a dust collecting part componentwhich has a tool bit covering parthaving a predetermined inside diameter and a fitting partconnected to the tool bit covering part, while, in the second form, the dust collecting part is formed by connecting a plurality of the dust collecting part componentsvia the fitting partin the axial direction.

Dust collecting device

It is an object of the invention to reduce noise caused by run-out of a tool bit in an impact tool. The representative impact tool according to the invention includes a tool holderthat houses a tool bitin such a manner that the tool bit can linearly move in its axial direction, and a barrelthat is integrally connected to the tool holderThe impact tool further includes an elastic elementthat is disposed between an inner circumferential surface of the tool holderand an outer circumferential surface of the tool bitin an end region of the tool biton the barrel side and connected in close contact with the tool holderand the tool bitover a predetermined length of the tool bitin the axial direction. The elastic elementapplies a biasing force to prevent a run-out of the tool bitin a direction transverse to the axial direction. Further, an intermediate elementcomes in point contact with the tool biton its axial center line.

A carrier for carrying a power tool may include a tool bit holder supporting at least one tool bit and a tool bit restraint device that is capable of preventing the at least one tool bit from being dropped out of the tool bit holder. The tool bit restraint device includes a tool bit restraint member. The tool bit restraint member is arranged and constructed so as to substantially uniformly press the at least one tool bit, thereby restraining the at least one tool bit.

Power tool carriers

It is an object of the invention to provide a technique that contributes to further improvement of an impact tool. A representative impact tool includes a motor, a tool body that houses the motor, a dynamic vibration reducer and a driving mechanism part that is driven by the motor and forcibly drives the dynamic vibration reducer by applying an external force other than vibration of the tool body to the dynamic vibration reducer, during hammering operation. At least one of the dynamic vibration reducer and the driving mechanism part is mounted to the tool body in a form of an assembly into which at least one of a plurality of component parts forming the dynamic vibration reducer and a plurality of component parts forming the driving mechanism part are assembled in advance.

A shock-absorbing element is disposed frontward of an interjacent element within a housing of an impact tool, and a washer is disposed rearward of and adjacent to the shock-absorbing element. The interjacent element is configured to come in contact with the washer when the interjacent element is caused to advance by an impactor's strike under no-load conditions. A sleeve disposed rearward of and adjacent to the washer is configured to position the shock-absorbing element and the washer, and to allow the interjacent element to move rearward and frontward inside the sleeve.

A hammer drill has a mode change-over mechanism including a change link with a horizontally elongated slot, an eccentric pin projecting from a mode selector switch and penetrating the slot. The change link is moved vertically by rotating the mode selector switch, which in turn vertically moves a pair of change keys secured to a holder of the change link, thus either engaging or disengaging the change keys with or from a sleeve provided in a rotation transmission mechanism for transmitting the rotation of a motor to the tool holder. In the engagement position, the rotation of the motor of the hammer drill is transmitted to a tool holder while in the disengagement position, the rotation of the motor is not transmitted. Also, the eccentric pin is engaged with a square recess formed in a lock ring which is fitted around the tool holder and urged backward by a compression spring. The eccentric pin is horizontally moved by rotating the mode selector switch, which in turn moves the lock ring in the axial direction, thereby couple or de-couple the lock ring to or from the tool holder.
