A mobile terminal apparatus includes upper and lower cases; a sliding-rotation-mechanism performing an opening-direction-sliding-movement through a sliding-supporting plate at opening manipulation, allowing the upper case to stand up at a predetermined angle with respect to the lower case after the opening-direction-sliding-movement, performing closing-direction-rotation-movement, standing up at the predetermined angle through the sliding-supporting plate at closing manipulation, and performing closing-direction-sliding-movement through the sliding-supporting plate after the closing-direction-rotation-movement; and a flexible board disposed so that electrical parts of the upper and lower cases are electrically connected to each other and a portion corresponding to a predetermined length just after the portion exposed from the upper case is adhered to the sliding-supporting plate through an adhesive.

A cover unit includes a first cover that is movable between a cover position and an exposed position. A second cover slidably is movable in a direction perpendicular to its visible surface. A cover moving mechanism moves the second cover, wherein, when the first cover is at the cover position, the second cover is at such a height that the visible surface of the second cover is substantially coplanar with a visible surface of the first cover. When the first cover is moved from the cover position to the exposed position, the second cover is moved to such a height such that the visible surface of the second cover is moved by at least an amount that corresponds with the thickness of the first cover. When the first cover is at the exposed position, the first cover is above the visible surface of the second cover.

A mobile terminal apparatus includes a camera unit and a sliding cover device. The sliding cover device includes a cover slidable with respect to the camera unit, a pair of arm members supporting the cover on both sides from a back surface of the cover and extending along the sides of the cover, a frame member supporting the arm members such that the arm members are slidable along respectively predetermined sliding paths, and a body surface member secured to the frame member and having a surface thereof flush with a surface of the cover at a closed position. The sliding paths are defined such that, when the cover is moved from the closed position to an open position, the arm members slide into a space below the body surface member and the cover rides onto the body surface member.

A lock mechanism for a sliding object includes a slide arm, a rotating lever, and urging means. When an external pressing force presses the slide arm member in opposition to an urging force imparted by the urging means, the slide arm member is moved along a slide path, thereby causing the rotating lever member to rotate. When the slide arm member is pressed further, the tip of the rotating lever member rides onto and is stopped against the lateral surface of the slide arm member, such that the slide arm member and the rotating lever member remain stopped at the current position even if the pressing force is released.

A recording and/or reproducing apparatus using a magnetic tape as a recording medium such that, when holding by a holding mechanism is released at the position where a cover member is closed and a magnetic head is moved between a contact position, where contact with a magnetic tape which travels by a traveling mechanism provided in the apparatus body is obtained, to a position distant from the magnetic tape or when the magnetic tape is pinched by the traveling mechanism, the pinching of the magnetic tape by the traveling mechanism is released and the magnetic head is moved to a distant position. In this manner, even if the apparatus is stopped when the power source is shut off while the FWD reproducing mode or the REV reproducing mode is kept set, the magnetic tape can be safely and securely extracted from the attachment section.

Recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magnetic tape

A magnetic tape drive in an auto-reverse tape recorder has a pair of reel-base gears, a pair of capstans, a pair of pinch rollers, a drive mechanism, a switching mechanism, and an oscillating mechanism. The drive mechanism selectively drives one of the pair of reel bases and selectively meshes with a cam gear, and the pair of reel bases has a gear that rotatively drives the reel base gear that is meshed with the cam gear. The switching mechanism switches a running direction of the magnetic tape from a first direction to a second direction, and the switching mechanism is reciprocated when the end of the magnetic tape is reached so that a first pinch roller that is abutting a first capstan moves away from the first capstan and a second pinch roller moves into contact with the second capstan. The switching mechanism has a switching lever that is reciprocated by the oscillating mechanism that includes a first oscillating mechanism that engages a cam portion of the cam gear and that is oscillated by a rotation of the cam gear and a second oscillating mechanism that is oscillated by the first oscillating mechanism so that the switching lever is reciprocated to change the running direction.
