Provide are an ionic liquid composition for a carbon dioxide separation membrane, a carbon dioxide separation membrane retaining the composition in voids, and a carbon dioxide concentration apparatus provided with the carbon dioxide separation membrane that can be used to separate carbon dioxide from high partial pressure to low partial pressure. The permeability of COand COselectivity ratio of the carbon dioxide separation membrane can be improved, and carbon dioxide from high partial pressure to a low partial pressure of 1 kPa or lower can be selectively separated and recycled by using an ionic liquid composition prepared by combining: an ionic liquid (I) that is an aminium having one or more primary or secondary amino groups and an ethylenediamine or propylenediamine backbone in the cation; and an ionic liquid (II) in which the cation has no primary or secondary amino group and the anion is an oxoacid anion.

An electrode slurry contains (A) a cellulose fiber, (B) a carboxymethyl-group-containing cellulose ether or a salt thereof, and a particulate material containing at least (C) an electrode active material, and the cellulose fiber (A) has an average fiber length of 1 to 750 &#x3bc;m. The amount of the carboxymethyl-group-containing cellulose ether or the salt thereof (B) is 0.1 to 3 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the cellulose fiber (A), the carboxymethyl-group-containing cellulose ether or the salt thereof (B), and the electrode active material (C), in terms of solid content. The present invention provides an electrode slurry that allows an improved surface smoothness (coating uniformity) of an electrode and an improved coating property, a process for producing the electrode slurry, an electrode, a process for producing the electrode, a non-aqueous secondary battery, and a lithium-ion secondary battery.

A carbon dioxide separation membrane according to the present invention includes: an ionic liquid affinitive porous layer (C) having an ionic liquid-containing liquid (A) retained in voids; and an ionic liquid non-affinitive porous layer (B). The ionic liquid affinitive porous layer (C) may contain inorganic materials (for example, metal oxide particles having an average particle size of about 0.001 to 5 &#x3bc;m on a number basis). An average thickness of the ionic liquid affinitive porous layer (C) may be about from 0.01 to 10 &#x3bc;m. The ionic liquid affinitive porous layer (C) may include the ionic liquid-containing liquid (A) at a ratio from 0.1 to 99 parts by volume with respect to 100 parts by volume of voids. It may be a carbon dioxide separation membrane for fertilizing plants with carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide separation membrane can reduce a size of the carbon dioxide concentrating device and enables smooth operation of the device.

This ionic liquid-containing laminate includes a porous layer having affinity with ionic liquids (C), said layer holding an ionic liquid-containing liquid (A) within voids therein, and a porous layer lacking affinity with ionic liquids (B). The porous layer having affinity with ionic liquids (C) may include an inorganic material (e.g., metal oxide particles having an average particle size of 0.001 to 10 &#x3bc;m on a number basis). The ionic liquid-containing liquid (A) may include an ionic liquid containing cations selected from ammonium, imidazolium and phosphonium cations, and anions selected from fluorine-containing anions, cyano-containing anions and amino acid-derived anions. An electrode slurry contains (A) a cellulose fiber and (C) an electrode active material, the electrode active material (C) contains at least a silicon particle and may contain a silicon particle and a carbonaceous particle. The slurry may further contain (B) a carboxymethyl-group-containing cellulose ether or a salt thereof. The average fiber length L (1 to 750 &#x3bc;m) of the cellulose fiber (A) is larger than the average particle size D(1 nm to 1 &#x3bc;m) of the silicon particle as the electrode active material (C). The average particle size ratio L/Dis 5 to 15,000. The electrode slurry can improve a discharge capacity and is useful for forming an electrode of a non-aqueous secondary battery (lithium-ion secondary battery) that can maintain a high discharge capacity after repeated charging and discharging.

Disclosed is a heat transport medium to be transported with a fluid that is liquid in an operating temperature range containing a porous material and a latent heat storage material penetrated in the pores of the porous material, wherein the latent heat storage material is incompatible with the fluid and has a melting point within the operating temperature range, and the porous material has a liquid repellency to the fluid, an affinity for the latent heat storage material, and a sponge hardness of not more than 50. This invention achieves stable heat transport with a high heat conversion efficiency even by circulating the medium through a pipeline over a long period of time. The porous material has an apparent density of about 0.05 to 0.5 g/cm.
