An object is to provide a wax composition for candles which is excellent in moldability in the production of the candles, enables the candles produced therefrom to be reduced in the bending and blocking, and which can be improved in releasability. A wax composition for forming candles, which comprises 100 parts by weight of petroleum paraffin wax and 0.1 to 0.3 parts by weight of a mineral oil, with said petroleum paraffin wax containing 97% by weight and above of a fraction which has 24 and above carbon atoms, having normal paraffin wax/non-normal paraffin wax ratios of at least 9 and having a melting point of 45 to 65.degree. C.

Wax composition for forming candles

A binder composition comprising a petroleum resin, an aromatic heavy mineral oil, a thermoplastic elastomer, an ethylene copolymer and a waxy substance has a high viscosity at 60.degree. C. and a low viscosity at high temperatures, and can provide a mixture together with aggregate having remarkably high compressive strength.

Colorable binder composition

An asphalt composition for use in road pavements is disclosed which comprises chiefly of an asphalt of natural or petroleum origin, a thermoplastic elastomer and/or a styrene-butadiene rubber and a low molecular weight polypropylene. These components are premixed or plant-mixed to form a reformed asphalt which is mixed with an aggregate to provide a paving material having increased compression strength, increased low temperature viscosity and decreased high temperature viscosity.

Asphalt compositions for pavement

A stripping-resistant asphalt composition comprising (A) an asphaltic material, (B) a reaction product of a maleic compound, such as maleic anhydride, and another organic compound, such as liquid polybutadiene, and (C) aggregate.

Stripping-resistant asphalt compositions

An asphalt composition comprising an epoxy resin, a maleinated asphaltic material and, if desired, a curing agent for the epoxy resin.
