A cooling water control valve device includes a housing and a valve. The housing includes an inside space, an attachment surface, at least one inlet port, and at least one outlet port. The attachment surface is in contact with an outer wall of the engine. The valve is disposed in the inside space to control communication between the at least one inlet port and the at least one outlet port by rotating. The housing includes a housing body that defines the inside space therein and a bypass passage forming member that defines at least a portion of a bypass passage. The bypass passage bypasses the valve and fluidly connects the at least one inlet port and the inside space. The housing is attached to the engine such that the attachment surface comes into contact with the outer wall of the engine.

Cooling water control valve device

A valve body has: a tubular portion, which is rotatably placed at an inside of a housing; and a partition wall which partitions an inside space of the tubular portion into a first valve chamber located on one axial side of the partition wall and a second valve chamber located on another axial side of the partition wall. A seal member is placed between an inner wall of the housing and the tubular portion of the valve body and extends in a circumferential direction. The seal member partitions an inside space of the housing into a first housing chamber, at which a first fluid inlet and a first fluid outlet of the housing are placed, and a second housing chamber, at which a second fluid inlet and a second fluid outlet of the housing are placed.

Valve device

A case is connected between an outlet side of a turbocharger and an intake port of an engine. A cooling passage and a bypass passage are partitioned in the case to split intake air into two flows. A storage unit is formed in a bottom portion of the case to accumulate liquid. The cooling passage is located along a gravity direction to flow intake air from a lower side to an upper side. The bypass passage flows intake air to bypass the cooling passage. A valve controls opening of the cooling passage and the bypass passage on an inlet side or on an outlet side. The valve opens the bypass passage to forcedly supply at least a part of intake air, which is drawn into the case, through the storage unit and the bypass passage into the intake port.

Air intake apparatus for internal combustion engine

A resonator has a volume chamber, which is communicated with a surge tank through a communication passage. A primary intake passage communicates between a cylinder of an internal combustion engine and the surge tank. A secondary intake passage communicates between the surge tank and one of the cylinder and the primary intake passage. A passage length of the secondary intake passage is shorter than a passage length of the primary intake passage. A variable intake valve is fixed to a shaft. The variable intake valve opens and closes the secondary intake passage. A resonator valve is fixed to the shaft. The resonator valve opens and closes the communication passage. A drive device rotates the shaft to drive the variable intake valve and the resonator valve.

An intake system for an engine includes an intake manifold having a surge tank room and branch passages, and a water-cooling type cooler having a first cooling unit and second cooling units. The surge tank room is disposed on a downstream side of a supercharger in a flow direction of intake air. Supercharged intake air flowing into the surge tank room is distributed among intake ports respectively through the branch passages. The first cooling unit is inserted in the surge tank room, and cools supercharged intake air which has flowed into the intake manifold through heat exchange between supercharged intake air and coolant flowing in the first cooling unit. The second cooling units are inserted respectively in the intake ports, and cool internal EGR gas, which has been recirculated into their corresponding intake ports, through heat exchange between internal EGR gas and coolant flowing in the second cooling units.

Intake system for internal combustion engine

An air intake device includes a cooler and a surge tank accommodating the cooler. The air intake device is to be connected to a cylinder head of an engine. The cylinder head includes an intake port that accommodates an intake valve. The cooler has a refrigerant passage through which refrigerant flows and an air passage through which intake air flows. The surge tank has a connector connected to the cylinder head. The cooler has a protrusion protruding from the connector toward the intake valve.

Air intake device

An intake manifold is located on a downstream side of a throttle valve in an intake passage. A switching valve is placed on an upstream side of a connection between a communication conduit and an outlet of a lower portion of a surge tank of the intake manifold and is adapted to open or close the communication conduit. A control device controls the switching valve to open or close the switching valve. The control device closes the switching valve when an operational state of an engine is in one of idling time, accelerating driving time and high speed driving time of a vehicle, and the control device opens the switching valve when the operational state of the internal combustion engine is in decelerating driving time of the vehicle.

Air intake apparatus for vehicle

An intake manifold is provided to an internal combustion engine including a first and second cylinder heads each having an intake port. The first and second cylinder heads are distant from each other, and defining a crank angle therebetween. The intake manifold includes a manifold body that defines intake passages each connecting with each intake port. Each intake passage has an interior divided into divisional passages. A butterfly valve communicates and blocks at least one of the divisional passages. Tanks are formed integrally with the manifold body for accumulating negative pressure in the manifold body. The tanks include a first tank, which is provided to the first cylinder head, and a second tank, which is provided to the second cylinder head. An actuator operates the butterfly valve by being applied with negative pressure from the plurality of tanks. The manifold body has a communication passage that communicates the first tank with the second tank.

Intake manifold for internal combustion engine

A bearing support device includes a rotor, a bearing member, and a bearing holding member. The rotor rotates about a rotation center axis. The bearing member rotatably supports the rotor within a bearing hole passing through the bearing member. The bearing holding member holds the bearing member in a secure manner within a fitting hole that passes through the bearing holding member along the center axis of the rotor via an engagement force produced by tightly fitting the bearing member. The rotor and bearing member are made of a resin. An engagement section is provided for tightly fitting the bearing member into the fitting hole relative to the bearing hole to enable an engagement force produced by the tight fitting to act in a direction that does not affect an inner diameter dimension of the bearing hole.

Bearing support device

An intermediate resin molded body is put between two outer resin molded bodies, and a molten resin is injected substantially simultaneously into a first interface between one outer resin molded body of the two outer resin molded bodies and the intermediate resin molded body and a second interface between the other outer resin molded body and the intermediate resin body, so that the two outer resin molded bodies and the intermediate resin molded body are welded together.

Intake system and method for producing the same

An intake system has an intake pipe, a passage member which is inserted into a peripheral wall of the intake pipe in a radial direction to form an intake passage passing across a front end and a rear end thereof in a direction of insertion along with the intake pipe, a seal member which is arranged at a seam between the peripheral wall of the intake pipe and the passage member and seals the seam, and an elastic member which is made of the same material as that of the seal member and is interposed between the peripheral wall of the intake pipe and the front end of the passage member so as to be capable of giving the front end of the passage member an elastic reaction force in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the direction of insertion.

Intake system

An air intake system includes an intake pipe and a throttle body. The throttle body is inserted in a middle section of the intake pipe between upstream and down stream ends so as to define an intake passage. The throttle body movably receives a throttle valve which opens and closes the intake passage. Flow blocking members are integrally formed with the intake pipe for blocking specific fluid, such as condensate of intake gas, from flowing into the throttle valve in the intake passage. Therefore, it can prevent the specific fluid from sticking to the throttle valve. Besides, because the throttle body need not to be integrally formed with the flow blocking members, a dimensional accuracy of the throttle body can be secured.

Air intake system

A suction device used for an internal combustion engine includes a throttle passage, which is arranged on the upstream side, and also includes an air connector, a surge tank and suction manifolds which are arranged on the downstream side of the throttle passage. An opening section of the air connector arranged in the longitudinal direction on a side wall face of the surge tank is provided on a wall face corresponding to a position which becomes a substantial center of the suction manifold which is open to the surge tank. Due to the foregoing, intake air can be evenly distributed to the suction manifold, and lengths of the passages can be made equal to each other. Accordingly, the generation of a rumbling noise can be suppressed. Further, the suction manifold substantially encircles the outer circumferential wall faces of the surge tank and others. Therefore, it is possible to ensure a preferable passage length for obtaining the air charging efficiency corresponding to a running state of the internal combustion engine, and the engine output can be enhanced.

Suction device used for internal combustion engine

A hollow-cylindrical heat conduction portion is formed on a throttle body in such a way as to protrude outwardly therefrom in the radial direction. The throttle body and the heat conduction portion are integrally formed using metal material such as aluminum having excellent heat conductivity or resin material containing such a metal material. A vent hole communicating the interior with the exterior of a head cover is formed in the head cover. Through the vent hole there is inserted the heat conduction portion, and the clearance between an outer-peripheral wall thereof and an inner wall of the vent hole is sealed by means of a seal member.

Suction apparatus for an internal combustion engine

Fuel supply devices for an engine are disposed within an intake duct located upstream of an air cleaner. Thus, the fuel supply devices such as fuel injection valves and a fuel supply pipe are always cooled by intake air flow while the engine is being driven. In addition, heat conducted from the engine to the fuel supply device can be insulated by the intake duct when the engine is stopped. Further, since the intake duct located upstream of the air cleaner does not dispose functional parts such as a filter therein, a high degree of freedom for mounting the intake duct on the engine is maintained so that the intake duct can be easily disposed at the position where the fuel supply devices are located.
