An electrically-driven compressor including a housing, an electric motor, a compression mechanism, a cover member, a motor drive circuit, and a sealing member is disclosed. The electric motor is accommodated in the housing. The compression mechanism is accommodated in the housing and operated by the electric motor. The cover member is attached to the housing. The housing and the cover member form an accommodation portion including an accommodation space therein. The motor drive circuit is accommodated in the accommodation space and drives the electric motor. The sealing member is arranged between the housing and the cover member to seal the accommodation space. The sealing member includes an elastic seal portion that comes into close contact with the housing and the cover member. A core sustains the shape of the seal portion in conformance with the circumferential edge of the accommodation space. The core is formed so that at least a circumferential edge part of the core is in conformance with the circumferential edge of the accommodation space. The seal portion is formed integrally with the circumferential edge part of the shape sustaining member by depositing rubber material thereon.

Electrically-driven compressor

When a detection value of a temperature sensor exceeds a set temperature, an ECU increases an opening of a sub-port by controlling a solenoid valve, and as a result, an intake volume of an expander increases. The ECU then adjusts the mass flow rate of a coolant flowing through a boiler so that a detection value of a pressure sensor indicates a pressure as close as possible to an upper limit pressure, on condition that an upper limit temperature is not exceeded.

Vehicle waste heat recovery device

A scroll type compressor has a housing, a rotary shaft, a fixed scroll member, a movable scroll member and a rotation preventing mechanism. The rotation preventing mechanism has a movable pin that is provided on the surface of movable end plate and extends toward end surface of the housing in parallel with an axis of the rotary shaft, a fixed pin that is provided on the end surface of the housing and extends toward the surface of the movable end plate in parallel with the axis of the movable pin, a rolling element that is disposed between the movable and the fixed pins, being contactable with the movable and the fixed pins and a retainer retaining the rolling element between the movable and the fixed pins.

Scroll type compressor

A motor-driven compressor includes a housing having an inlet port, a compression mechanism for compression of refrigerant introduced from an external refrigerant circuit via the inlet port into the housing, an inverter having a heat-generating component, an electric motor driven by the inverter, and a rotary shaft rotated by the electric motor thereby to drive the compression mechanism. The electric motor, the compression mechanism and the inverter are aligned in the housing in axial direction of the rotary shaft. An inlet pipe is connected to the inlet port. The housing has an outer peripheral surface in contact with the inlet pipe. The heat-generating component of the inverter is disposed adjacent to or in contact with the inlet pipe so as to be thermally coupled to the inlet pipe.

Motor-driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor has a compression mechanism, a rotary shaft, an electric motor, a motor drive circuit, a connecting terminal and a housing assembly. The compression mechanism, the electric motor, and the motor drive circuit are disposed along the axial direction of the rotary shaft in the housing assembly having first through third housings. The first housing is used for mounting the electric motor and the compression mechanism. The second housing has a terminal mounting portion for fixing the connecting terminal. The first and second housings have fastening portions at the radially peripheral portion thereof. The third housing is joined to the second housing to form an accommodation space for accommodating the motor drive circuit. The closed casing is formed by fastening the fastening portions of the first and second housings by means of a first bolt and connecting the second housing to the open end of the first housing.

A scroll type compressor has a fixed scroll member, a movable scroll member, an oil reservoir, a back-pressure chamber, an oil extraction passage, a flow passage, and a partition wall. The back-pressure chamber disposed behind the movable scroll member is in communication with a discharge chamber. The oil extraction passage having a regulating valve or a throttle connects the back-pressure chamber to the oil reservoir. The oil return passage and the flow passage connect the oil reservoir to a suction chamber, respectively. The flow passage introduces excess lubricating oil into the suction chamber when the level of lubricating oil in the oil reservoir becomes higher than a predetermined level. The partition wall disposed between the openings of the oil extraction passage for restricting lubricating oil from the oil extraction passage other than the excess lubricating oil collected in the oil reservoir from flowing to the flow passage.

A motor-driven compressor has a compression mechanism, a rotary shaft, an electric motor, a motor drive circuit and a housing assembly. The compression mechanism, the electric motor and the motor drive circuit are disposed along the axial direction of the rotary shaft in the housing assembly. The housing assembly has first and second housings. The first housing mounts the electric motor and the compression mechanism. The first housing has first and second mounting lugs formed integrally with the peripheral surface of the first housing. The second housing is joined to the first housing for accommodating the motor drive circuit. The second housing has a third mounting lug formed integrally with the second housing. The first through third mounting lugs are fastened to a mounting object to which the motor-driven compressor is to be mounted by means of fastening members.

Motor driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor includes a compression mechanism for compressing a refrigerant gas, an electric motor, an inverter assembly and an inverter chamber. The electric motor drives the compression mechanism. The inverter assembly converts direct-current power into polyphase alternating-current power to supply to the electric motor and controls a rotational speed of the electric motor. A substrate having an electric circuit and an electronic component connected to the substrate are provided in the inverter assembly. The inverter chamber detachably accommodates the inverter assembly. A vibration damping member is arranged in the inverter assembly.

An electric compressor includes an electric motor, a compression mechanism driven by the electric motor, and a housing for accommodating the electric motor and the compression mechanism. The housing is formed such that the stator is fitted thereto. The housing has a plurality of thick portions and a plurality of thin portions. The center of the thickness of each thick portion is located outside of the center of the thickness of each thin portion with respect to a radial direction of the housing. As a result, even if the housing is deformed, the fixation of the stator to the housing is reliably maintained. Further, the weight of the electric compressor is reduced.

A fluid machine is served as an expansion device and a compression device. The fluid machine compresses gas in an operation chamber upon functioning as the compression device. The fluid machine expands the gas in the operation chamber upon functioning as the expansion device. The fluid machine includes a movable discharge valve served as a differential pressure regulating valve that discharges the gas from the operation chamber when the fluid machine functions as the compression device. The discharge valve is moved to a non-operation position where the discharge valve fails to function as the differential pressure regulating valve when the fluid machine functions as the expansion device.

A variable displacement compressor for efficiently cooling and lubricating seals arranged on a rotary shaft. The seals are arranged at end portions of the rotary shaft that project from a housing of the compressor. A first lubrication chamber is defined by a first seal in the housing around the front end portion of the rotary shaft. A second lubrication chamber is defined by a second seal in the housing around the rear end portion of the rotary shaft. A shaft passage extends through the rotary shaft to connect the first and second lubrication chambers. Refrigerant gas including lubricating oil flows from a crank chamber to a suction chamber via the first lubrication chamber, the shaft passage, and the second lubrication chamber. This efficiently cools and lubricates the seals.

Scroll compressors

Scroll compressors ( ) may include a housing ( ) having an inlet port ( ) and an outlet port ( ). A drive scroll ( ) may be rotatably disposed within the housing and may have a rotational axis. A driven scroll ( ) may be rotatably disposed within the housing and may have a rotational axis. The driven scroll rotational axis preferably is offset with respect to the drive scroll rotational axis. Further, at least one compression chamber ( ) is preferably defined between the drive scroll and the driven scroll. First bearings ( ) may rotatably support one of the drive scroll and the driven scroll in a straddle manner. A second bearing ( ) may rotatably support the other of the drive scroll and the driven scroll in a cantilever manner. A transmission ( and ) or other device may be provided to rotate the driven scroll in synchronism with the drive scroll.

Scroll compressor may include, for example, a stationary scroll, a drive shaft, a crank shaft coupled to the drive shaft, a bush coupled to the outer surface of the crank shaft and a movable scroll coupled to the crank shaft. The movable scroll is preferably disposed adjacent to the stantionary scroll. A boss may be coupled to the movable scroll and the boss preferably protrudes from the movable scroll at the opposite side of the stationary scroll. A seal is preferably disposed in a clerance defined between the bush and the boss. A compression chamber is defined by a space between the stationary scroll and the movable scroll. Fluid is compressed within the compression chamber when the movable scroll revolves or orbits with respect to the stationary scroll. A discharge port is preferably defined within the movable scroll and is adapted to discharge compressed fluid to a side that is opposite of the stationary scroll.

A scroll type compressor having a front housing, a rear housing, an intermediate outer shell portion arranged between the front and rear housing to form an integral stationary scroll element having a stationary end plate and a stationary spiral member, a movable scroll element having a movable end plate and a movable spiral element and being engaged with the stationary scroll element to define a plurality of compression chambers shifting and reducing in volume to compress refrigerant gas, containing therein an oil component, in response to an orbiting motion of the movable scroll element, a suction port formed in the intermediate outer shell portion to directly introduce the refrigerant gas into the compression chambers, and a discharge chamber in which the refrigerant gas after compression is discharged from the compression chambers. The rear housing having an oil-separating chamber for separating the oil component from the refrigerant gas after compression and an oil-storing chamber for storing therein the separated oil to be supplied to the interior of the front housing via an oil passage formed in the intermediate outer shell to cool and lubricate movable elements and portions of the compressor.
