Five combustion exhaust gas treatment systems capable of removing dust and selenium (Se) in combustion exhaust gas and making harmless are proposed: (1) combustion exhaust gas is cooled to 350&deg; C. or less, dust is separated, Se is transformed into insoluble compound, and Se is separated; (2) combustion exhaust gas is cooled to 350&deg; C. or less, dust is separated, Se elution preventive agent is added, and dust is formed into scale; (3) dust in combustion exhaust gas is collected by dust collector, dust is formed into slurry by making use of part of circulation liquid in desulfurization apparatus, and tetravalent Se in dust slurry is transformed into insoluble compound, which is separated into solid and liquid; (4) dust is separated from combustion exhaust gas by dust collector, and it is heated to gasify Se, and is led into desulfurization apparatus, etc., and formed into slurry, and Se is made into insoluble compound; and (5) a treating agent for making tetravalent Se insoluble is added to part of circulation liquid in desulfurization apparatus, and it is sprayed into combustion exhaust gas to make Se insoluble.

Combustion exhaust gas treatment system

This invention relates to a method for the treatment of a desulfurization absorbing fluid after gas-liquid contact with combustion exhaust gas in which fine particles of unburned carbon and other materials are efficiently removed from the desulfurization absorbing fluid to improve the quality of a by-product (e.g., gypsum) obtained therefrom. The method of this invention comprises the steps of feeding a gas into a desulfurization absorbing fluid (A) containing fine particles of unburned carbon and other materials and thereby producing gas bubbles so as to cause the fine particles to adhere to the surfaces of the gas bubbles and create a foam phase (D) consisting of the gas bubbles; and breaking the foam phase (D) to obtain a liquid (E) containing the fine particles.

Method of processing desulfurization absorption liquid and apparatus therefor

A process for the treatment of sewage to provide effective removal of selenium (especially the 6-valent selenium) to meet required standards for the dissolved amount of selenium, and the like, at a low cost are developed. The process and apparatus reduces selenium from the 6-valent selenium using microbiological treatment to obtain 4-valent selenium and/or simple selenium, and then provide a solid-liquid separation.

Sewage treatment process

A flue gas treatment system is provided for which is capable of easily treating Se contained in flue gas, comprising an extractor 13 for extracting soluble components in the dust removed by a dry-type dust precipitator 5 into water to slurry the dust; insolubilizer supply 16 for supplying an insolubilizer for insolubilizing at least tetravalent Se to the dust slurry which has been slurried from the dust by the extractor 13; adsorbent supply 14 for supplying an adsorbent composed of an organism material for adsorbing at least hexavalent Se in the dust slurry; and separator 15 for solid-liquid separating the dust slurry to which the insolubilizer and the adsorbent have been supplied by said supplies.

Flue gas treatment system

The present invention relates to a method for treating a waste liquid from a wet exhaust gas treating device. In a waste diminishing system which has heretofore been used, a necessary distance of a flue between a spray nozzle and a dry electric dust collector has been within the range of about 30 to about 40 meters. The present invention is characterized by rendering vacant a first chamber of the dry dust collector, or alternatively providing a vacant chamber on the upstream side of the dry dust collector in order to treat an exhaust gas, whereby the length of the aforesaid fue can be reduced to about 10 meters or less.

Method for treating waste liquid in wet exhaust gas treating apparatus

A method for treating an exhaust gas which includes leading a coal-fired exhaust gas to a dry denitrating device, removing oxides of nitrogen from the exhaust gas in the device, leading the exhaust gas to a dry electric dust collector and a wet waste smoke desulfurizing device disposed at downstream positions, and removing dust from the exhaust gas in these devices. A sodium compound containing solution is sprayed into the exhaust gas flowing between the dry denitrating device and the dry electric dust collector thereby increasing the efficiency of the dust collector, and the resulting dry solids are then collected together with the dust by the dry electric dust collector.

Method for treating exhaust gas

The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating a solution or a slurry solution and its improved types. The apparatus of the present invention comprises a hollow rotating shaft having a sealing mechanism and a rotating mechanism at upper portions thereof, the apparatus being characterized by comprising a plurality of stirring branch pipes attached to the lower end of the hollow rotating shaft vertically downward extending into the solution in a storage tank, and a plurality of gas jet pipes disposed under the respective branch pipes, the gas jet pipes extending vertically downward and being opened at the lower ends thereof, whereby the shaft and the stirring branch pipes are rotated, while a gas is jetted from openings of the gas jet pipes through the sealing mechanism, the hollow rotating shaft and the branch pipes. A solid-gas contact reactor for dirty exhaust gas is characterized by a first dust-proof plate provided on contact areas between a lower surface of a support base for supporting packages of catalyst layers in each stage and a reactor wall so that the first dust-proof plate makes an angle equal to or larger than the rest angle of dust in the exhaust gas with respect to the support base. Second dust-proof plates are provided on contact areas between adjacent ones of the packages of catalyst layers in each stage and contact areas between the reactor wall and frames of the packages of catalyst layers and the second dust-proof plates make the same angle with respect to the frame structure.

Solid gas contact reactor

A method for dust removal from a solid-gas contact reactor for dust-laden exhaust gases which includes a packing section composed of packings each having a plurality of passages formed in the flow direction of the gases to be handled. Jets of gas for cleaning use are issued from a bank of stationary or movable nozzles installed in the reactor against the face at the inlet end of the packing section so as to blow off economically and efficiently the dust and other particulate matter that have settled from the gases on the packing section and have grown or bridged as a deposit thereon. The distance from the nozzles to the face of the packing section to be cleaned ranges from 0.2 to 1.0 meter, and the gas jet velocity at the inlet of the same section ranges from 5 to 40 m/sec.
