An electric power steering device includes a motor housing of an electric motor. The motor housing includes an end face part opposite to an output part of a rotating shaft of the electric motor. An electronic control part is arranged at the end face part. A connector assembly is arranged on a side of the electronic control part opposite to a side of the electronic control part that faces the end face part. A metal cover for the electronic control part includes a bottom part and a lateral peripheral part. The bottom part includes: an exposure hole through which an external terminal forming part is exposed to outside; and an annular reinforcing projecting portion formed at an edge of the exposure hole. The lateral peripheral part is angled from the bottom part, and forms an opening through which the lateral peripheral part is fixed to the end face part.

Electrically-operated drive device and electrically-operated power steering device

An electric drive device has a motor housing accommodating therein an electric motor; a pair of supporting stems arranged so as to face to each other on an end surface, which is an opposite side to an output shaft portion of a rotation shaft of the electric motor, of the motor housing and extending in a direction of the rotation shaft which is an opposite direction to the output shaft portion; a heat radiation base body arranged between the pair of supporting stems and extending in the same direction as those of the supporting stems; fixing bolts screwed into the heat radiation base body from a radially outer side to a radially inner side through the supporting stems and connecting the supporting stems and the heat radiation base body; one electronic control unit of a redundant system, arranged along a direction in which the heat radiation base body extends and having a board that is fixed to the heat radiation base body with thermal conduction to the heat radiation base body allowed; and the other electronic control unit of the redundant system, arranged along a direction in which the heat radiation base body extends and having a board that is fixed to the heat radiation base body with thermal conduction to the heat radiation base body allowed.

Electric drive device and electric power steering device

An electric power steering device includes a motor housing of an electric motor. An annular seal accommodating portion is formed around an external terminal forming part of a connector assembly, and filled with a liquid sealing agent. A fixing member fixes the connector assembly to a fixing part of an end face part of the motor housing. A liquid sealing agent guiding passage is formed with the annular seal accommodating portion, and allows the liquid sealing agent to flow to the fixing member. A metal cover includes: a bottom part including: an exposure hole through which the external terminal forming part is exposed to outside; and an annular reinforcing projecting portion formed at an edge of the exposure hole, and accommodated in the annular seal accommodating portion; and a lateral peripheral part angled from the bottom part, and forming an opening for fixation to the end face part.

A heat radiation base body extending in a direction of a rotation shaft of an electric motor close to the rotation shaft is provided at an end surface of a motor housing accommodating the electric motor. A board of one electronic control unit of a redundant system is fixed to the heat radiation base body along the direction in which heat radiation base body extends with thermal conduction allowed. A board of the other electronic control unit of redundant system is fixed to the heat radiation base body along a direction in which the heat radiation base body extends, so as to face the board of one electronic control unit, with thermal conduction allowed. A cover covering these is fixed to an end surface of the motor housing without a bolt. Thus, a housing accommodating the electronic control unit is not necessary. A sealing part is only the connecting portion between the motor housing and cover, thereby eliminating additional structure of the sealing part, sealing component required for seal and bolt.

An electric drive device has a motor housing accommodating an electric motor, a heat radiation base body fixed to an end surface, which is opposite side to an output shaft portion of a motor rotation shaft, of the motor housing and extending in a rotation shaft direction that is opposite side to output shaft portion, one electronic control unit of redundant system, arranged along direction in which heat radiation base body extends and having board, fixed to the heat radiation base body with thermal conduction to heat the radiation base body allowed, and the other electronic control unit of redundant system, arranged along direction in which the heat radiation base body extends and having a board, fixed to the heat radiation base body with thermal conduction to heat radiation base body allowed. Boards of both electronic control units are fixed to the heat radiation base body with boards slanting with respect to an extension direction of the heat radiation base body.

A stress mitigation region is formed in which a predetermined number of stress mitigation holes penetrating through a wiring are disposed is formed in a proximity of a bonding portion of an electronic component via which the electronic component is bonded to the wiring with an electrically conductive bonding agent. Accordingly, even if a stress is generated in the wiring due to a heat, the stress mitigation holes are deformed so that the stress acted upon the electrically conductive bonding agent becomes small and a generation of cracks in the electrically conductive bonding agent can be suppressed. In addition, the stress mitigation holes are made circular so that concentrations of a current and the stress can be reduced and the generation of the cracks in the wiring can be suppressed.

Electronic control device

In an electric driving apparatus and an electric power steering apparatus, an electronic control assembly is divided into a power-supply circuit unit mounted on a metal substrate, a power-conversion circuit unit mounted on a metal substrate, and a control circuit unit mounted on a resin substrate. A power-supply-connector wiring part, which supplies electric power from the power-supply circuit unit to the power-conversion circuit unit and the control circuit unit, and a signal-transmission-connector wiring part, which transmits signals to be input to or output from the control circuit unit, are embedded in a synthetic-resin connector terminal assembly arranged on an outer peripheral side of each of the metal substrates. Connector terminals of the power-supply-connector wiring part and the signal-transmission-connector wiring part, which are exposed from the connector terminal assembly, are directly connected to corresponding connectors of the power-supply circuit unit, the power-conversion circuit unit, and the control circuit unit.

Electric drive apparatus and electric power steering apparatus

The present invention is configured such that an electronic control assembly is divided into a power-supply circuit unit mounted on a metal substrate, a power-conversion circuit unit mounted on a metal substrate, and a control circuit unit mounted on a resin substrate; a power-supply-connector wiring part, which supplies electric power from the power-supply circuit unit to the power-conversion circuit unit and the control circuit unit, and a signal-transmission-connector wiring part, which transmits signals to be input to or output from the control circuit unit, are embedded in a connector terminal assembly; and connector terminals of the power-supply-connector wiring part and the signal-transmission-connector wiring part, which are exposed from the connector terminal assembly, are directly connected to the corresponding circuit units.

Electric driving device and electric power steering device

In construction of an electric drive device such as an electric power steering device or the like, there is employed a cylindrical metal housing that has therein in order first, second, third and fourth spaces coaxially arranged to respectively house therein a power circuit part, a power conversion circuit part, a control circuit part and an electric motor, a circular heat transfer metal substrate is arranged in the cylindrical metal housing between the first and second spaces and the circular heat transfer metal substrate has a cylindrical outer wall that is in contact with a cylindrical inner surface of the cylindrical metal housing, one flat surface to which a basal metal plate of the power circuit part is intimately connected and another flat surface to which a basal metal plate of the power conversion circuit part is intimately connected.

An electrical connector assembly, connected to a power source or a detection sensor through a cable, includes (a) a base body made of a synthetic resin, the base body having a bottom surface wall, a side surface wall standing up from a periphery of the bottom surface wall, and an interior space defined on the bottom surface wall and enclosed by the side surface wall; and (b) a connector body for achieving an electrical connection, the connector body extending from the bottom surface wall along the side surface wall through the interior space. The bottom surface wall of the base body has an inclined plane that is inclined in relation to a horizontal plane. The interior space of the base body is filled with a sealing agent by allowing the sealing agent to flow down on the inclined plane by gravity.

Electrical connector assembly, electronic control unit using same, and electric power steering system therewith

A method of welding a circuit conductor and one of a plurality of terminals of an electronic component of a control apparatus by melting and joining by a welding arc from a first electrode of a micromini TIG welder, the method includes: using the electronic component including the terminals which are apart from each other; and arc-welding while only the one of the plurality of the terminals of the electronic component of the control apparatus which is to be welded and the circuit conductor to be welded are sandwiched by an earth clamp jig serving as a second electrode so that the one of the plurality of the terminals of the electronic component of the control apparatus which is to be welded and the circuit conductor to be welded are grounded.
