A saddle-ride type vehicle is capable of achieving miniaturization of a front cowl while ensuring a flow rate of air introduction. An opening penetrating through a longitudinal direction of a vehicle is formed below the center in a height direction of a vertically long windshield. First traveling air is passed through the opening formed in the windshield. A direction of the first traveling air is then changed by a guide member, and is moved upward along a back surface of the windshield. Excessive vacuum on the back surface of the windshield is corrected. Since an opening is formed in the windshield, it is not necessary to increase a width of the front cowl, and miniaturization of the front cowl can be achieved. Since the windshield is formed as a vertically long windshield, the opening can be formed to be vertically long, and an opening area can be ensured.

Saddle-ride type vehicle

A vehicle includes left and right main frames that may have their front ends connected to a head pipe, and may be disposed such that the distance between the left and right main frames is progressively greater in a rearward direction. The left and right main frames may be connected to each other by an upper plate-like member, and the upper plate-like member may have a front edge spaced rearwardly from the head pipe and have left and right ends welded respectively to the left and right main frames.

A saddle-ride type vehicle includes a front cowl capable of improving appearance quality while suppressing enlargement of the front cowl. Since guide walls are arranged within a range viewed from introduction ports in a front view, such a possibility that wiring or the like in a front cowl is viewed through the introduction ports in the front view is precluded Immediately behind the introduction ports, air is guided in a desired direction by the guide walls. For this reason, a limited amount of air can be effectively utilized.

In a saddle-type vehicle, an engine is supported by a pivot shaft through insertion of the pivot shaft into a bracket part provided at a rear part of the engine. A center lower cross frame is so provided as to span a space between parts in left and right pivot plates on the lower side relative to the pivot shaft. The pivot shaft and the center lower cross frame are connected by a hanger member.

Saddle-type vehicle

A saddle-type vehicle has an engine-fastening structure which stabilizes a seating face contact between a collar and a vehicle body frame on one side, and between the collar and an engine on the other side. The vehicle includes a vehicle body frame having an engine-supporting portion, and an engine block having a female threaded portion formed therein for alignment with the engine-supporting portion. The collar is interposed between the engine-supporting portion and the engine block. The engine-supporting portion of the frame, the collar and the engine side female threaded portion are fastened together by a bolt. A gap is provided at least at locations between the collar and the bolt which oppose a boundary between the collar and the engine-supporting portion, and another boundary between the collar and the engine side female threaded portion.

A body incline sensor includes an erroneous detection preventing circuit for transmitting an inclined state signal by determining that a body is in an inclined state when an incline angle detector detects a weight, and a state so detected continues over a predetermined length of time. In the event that the incline angle detector does not detect a weight within a predetermined length of time due to an inertia force resulting when a body is rolling, no inclined state signal is transmitted from an inclined state transmitter, whereby the erroneous detection of the incline of the body can be prevented, the accuracy with which the incline of the body is detected being thus improved. In addition, in the event that the incline angle detector is constituted by the weight and magnets mounted on the weight and reed switches adapted to be switched on by the magnets, and in the event that the inclined state transmitter is constituted by a simple electric circuit, the production costs of the body incline sensor can be suppressed.
