The present invention provides an ink jet recording method capable of recording an image having good abrasion resistance by using an aqueous ink and a reaction liquid. In the ink jet recording method, the aqueous ink containing a resin particle and the reaction liquid containing a reactant for aggregating the component in the aqueous ink are ejected from a recording head of the ink jet system and applied onto a recording medium. The reaction liquid contains a compound represented by the general formula (1) (n in the formula represents an integer of 0 to 3). At least one of the aqueous ink and the reaction liquid contains a surfactant having an HLB value of ≤15.

Hydrodesulfurization catalyst for hydrocarbon oil and method for manufacturing hydrodesulfurization catalyst

A magnetic sensor device includes a composite chip component, and a sensor chip mounted on the composite chip component. Magnetic sensor device

A magnetic sensor device includes three magnetic sensors for detecting components of an external magnetic field that are in three directions, a magnetic field generation section, and a correction processor. The magnetic field generation section generates additional magnetic field components in three directions used for measurements of main- and cross-axis sensitivities of the three magnetic sensors. The correction processor corrects respective detection signals of the three magnetic sensors on the basis of the measurement results of the main- and cross-axis sensitivities of the magnetic sensors.

The present invention provides a hydrodesulfurization catalyst that exhibits a high desulfurization activity when used in hydrotreatment of hydrocarbon oil, in particular straight-run gas oil. The catalyst includes at least one type of metal component selected from Groups VIA and VIII in the periodic table, supported on a silica-titania-alumina support where the total of the diffraction peak area indicating the crystal structure of anatase titania (101) planes and the diffraction peak area indicating the crystal structure of rutile titania (110) planes is &#xbc; or less of the diffraction peak area indicating the aluminum crystal structure ascribed to &#x3b3;-alumina (400) planes, as measured by X-ray diffraction analysis. The catalyst has (a) a specific surface area (SA) of 150 m/g or greater, (b) a total pore volume (PVo) of 0.30 ml/g or greater, (c) an average pore diameter (PD) of 6 to 15 nm (60 to 150 &#x212b;), and (d) the ratio of the pore volume (PVp) of pores having diameters within &#xb1;30 percent of the average pore diameter (PD) being 70 percent or greater of the total pore volume (PVo).

Hydrodesulfurization catalyst for hydrocarbon oil, process of producing same and method for hydrorefining

A hydrodesulfurization catalyst is produced by pre-sulfurizing a hydrodesulfurization catalyst Y including a support containing silica, alumina and titania and at least one metal component supported thereon and selected from VIA and VIII groups of the periodic table (comprising at least Mo), in which the total area of the diffraction peak area indicating the crystal structure of anatase titania (101) planes and the diffraction peak area indicating the crystal structure of rutile titania (110) planes in the support, measured by X-ray diffraction analysis being &#xbc; or less of the alumina diffraction peak area assigned to &#x3b3;-alumina (400) planes. The molybdenum is formed into molybdenum disulfide crystal disposed in layers on the support by the pre-sulfurization, and having an average length of longer than 3.5 nm and 7 nm or shorter in the plane direction and an average number of laminated layers of more than 1.0 and 1.9 or fewer.

The hydrotreating catalyst is prepared by supporting molybdenum, cobalt and nickel on a carrier comprising aluminum, silicon, phosphorus and boron, and then performing a presulfiding treatment, and has an average stacking number for molybdenum sulfide slab that is greater than 1.0 but not more than 1.9. Also, a process for producing a hydrotreating catalyst that enables a hydrotreating catalyst having excellent levels of both desulfurization activity and denitrification activity to be produced with comparative ease. The process includes a first step of mixing an acidic aluminum salt aqueous solution and a basic aluminum salt aqueous solution in the presence of phosphate ions and silicate ions to achieve a pH of 6.5 to 9.5, thereby obtaining a hydrate, a second step of adding boron to the hydrate to prepare a carrier-forming material, a third step of molding and calcining the carrier-forming material to obtain a carrier, a fourth step of supporting molybdenum, cobalt and nickel on the carrier to obtain a catalyst precursor, and a fifth step of performing a presulfiding treatment by bringing the catalyst precursor into contact with a mixed gas containing hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide under conditions including a pressure of not less than 2.0 MPa and a maximum temperature of 240 to 380&#xb0; C.
