A drive circuit for a flat display apparatus which may include organic EL devices is disclosed wherein the light emission characteristic can be set variously and the color adjustment can be performed with a high degree of accuracy with a simple and easy configuration. A plurality of candidate voltages from voltage dividing circuits are selected in response to original reference voltage setting data to produce original reference voltages, and reference voltages for digital to analog conversion are produced from the original reference voltages. For the original reference voltages at the opposite ends of the voltage dividing circuits, the voltages of production references are varied with rough adjustment data, and the other original reference voltages are produced with reference to the original reference voltages at the opposite ends by the voltage dividing circuits connected in series.

The present invention provides a driving circuit of a flat display device and a flat display device, and it is applicable, for example, to a display device using organic EL (Electro Luminescence) elements. A solid state image pickup device of an interline system. The device includes a plurality of photosensors, which are arranged in a matrix form, which receive light transmitted through a plurality of color filters, and which are repeated in the vertical direction at a period of &ldquo;N&rdquo; pixels. A vertical transfer unit is provided for transferring charges read out from the plurality of photosensors. A horizontal transfer unit is coupled to the vertical transfer unit, and is used to horizontally transfer the charges transferred by the vertical transfer unit. Charges are passed to the vertical transfer unit by a first signal supplying unit and a second signal supplying unit. At least one of the signal supplying units is made up of &ldquo;m&rdquo; first photosensor groups arranged in the vertical direction and second photosensor groups numbering &ldquo;a&rdquo; times as large as the pixel period &ldquo;N&rdquo; and which are also arranged in the vertical direction. The first photosensor groups and second photosensor groups are alternately arranged in the vertical direction.

An ammoxidation method in a fluidized-bed reactor, in which, when a starting material to be ammoxidized is ammoxidized by means of vapor-phase catalytic fluidized-bed reaction, the reaction is carried out in a fluidized-bed reactor to which an oxygen-containing gas is fed through feed openings provided at the bottom thereof, and a starting material to be ammoxidized is fed through feed openings provided above the feed openings for the oxygen-containing gas, the distance between the feed openings for the oxygen-containing gas and those for the starting material being from 30 to 250% of the height of a fluidized solid matter in a static state so as to form such a fluidized bed that the density of the fluidized solid matter at the feed openings for the starting material to be ammoxidized is in the range of 50 to 300 kg/m.sup.3 and that the gas velocity is 1 m/s or lower. By this method, the efficiency of contact between catalyst particles and a starting material, and the result of the reaction (the yield of a desired product) are improved.

The present invention is directed to a video camera which comprises an image sensing device for sensing an incident light to generate charges and supplying an output signal corresponding to the charges, the output signal comprising a recurrent vertical scanning period and a recurrent vertical blanking period, the vertical scanning period including a plurality of horizontal scanning periods, a comparator for comparing a level of the output signal with a reference level to generate a compared output signal, a circuit for generating a first clock pulse having the same frequency as a horizontal scanning period, a circuit for generating a second clock pulse having a frequency higher than that of the first clock pulse, and an exposure time controlling circuit for receiving the compared output signal and controlling an exposure time of the image sensing device in synchronism with the first clock pulse according to the compared output signal when the exposure time is within the vertical scanning period, and the exposure time controlling circuit controls the exposure time in synchronism with the second clock pulse when a whole exposure time is within a vertical blanking period.

There is provided an exposure control circuit apparatus of a structure such that a momentary change of luminance level can be equivalently disregarded, and a response of an iris can be closer to that of the eye of a human being. This exposure control circuit apparatus comprises: a light quantity detecting circuit for detecting a divisional region to which signal level V of average luminance signal belongs of a large number of divisional regions obtained by dividing the range between the maximum level and the minimum level of the signal level V; a response speed setting circuit adapted for setting the degree of change of response speed in dependency upon an output of the light quantity detecting circuit and such that when at least the signal level V of average luminance signal belongs to the region including the maximum level or the region including the minimum level and that signal level is continuously inputted for a predetermined time, the response speed setting circuit sets the degree of change of the response speed to a larger value; and an exposure time control circuit for varying exposure time on the basis of the response speed set at the response speed setting circuit.

Exposure control circuit apparatus

A timing pulse generator for generating timing pulses exhibiting vertical and horizontal scanning frequencies of the type found in video signals, particularly adapted for use with a CCD imaging device. A first counter counts reference pulses having the horizontal scanning frequency to produce address counts that are used to read out timing pulse data stored in a first ROM, the read out data constituting a portion of the timing pulses. A second counter counts reference pulses of a frequency substantially higher than the horizontal scanning frequency to produce second address counts which are used to read out pulse data stored in a second ROM, the read out data constituting another portion of the timing pulses. Two separate ROMs are used to produce timing pulses of the horizontal and vertical scanning frequencies for driving and reading image data from the CCD device.

Timing pulse generator

A method for producing titanium alloy by the reduction of titanium tetrachloride and alloy components with a reducing metal agent, capable of continuously producing titanium alloy on an industrial scale. The temperature and pressure of the reaction zone for the reduction are kept above a melting point of the titanium alloy and above the vapor pressure of the reducing metal agent at that temperature respectively, so that the reducing metal agent and its chloride may be kept in a molten state but without boiling.

Method for producing titanium alloy

A method for producing metal by the reduction of a metal halide by a reducing metal agent capable of continuously producing homogeneous metal of high purity. In the method, particles of the same metal as the metal to be produced are charged into a reaction vessel and the metal halide and the reducing metal agent both in vapor form, are ejected upwards into the reaction vessel from its lower portion to form a fluidized bed of the metal particles in the vessel. The reducing reaction between the two vapors takes place on the surface of the metal particles at a temperature below the melting point of the metal product and at a pressure below a vapor pressure of each of the reducing metal agent and the metal halide at that temperature, resulting in depositing and growing the metal product on the surface of the particles.

Method for producing a metal from its halide

Iron-antimony metallic oxide catalysts which have become deactivated after being used for the production of aldehydes, acids, nitriles, or dienes through oxidation, ammoxidation, or oxidative dehydrogenation of organic compounds in fluidized-bed reactors are regenerated by adding to the catalyst a molybdenum-enriched catalyst formed by supporting a molybdenum component which is volatile or capable of forming a volatile compound under reaction conditions on a metallic oxide catalyst. The metallic oxide catalysts contain as essential components (I) Fe, (II) Sb, (III) at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Mo and W, and (IV) Te.

Regeneration of iron-antimony metallic oxide catalysts

Iron-antimony metallic oxide catalysts which have become deactivated after being used for the production of aldehydes, acids, nitriles, or dienes through oxidation, ammoxidation, or oxidative dehydrogenation of organic compounds in fluidized-bed reactors are regenerated by adding to the catalyst a solid molybdenum component which is volatile or capable of forming a volatile compound under reaction conditions. The metallic oxide catalysts contain as essential components (I) Fe, (II) Sb, (III) at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, MO, and W, and (IV) Te.
