An image diagnosis catheter includes a rotatable drive shaft, a sheath into which the drive shaft is inserted, a housing provided at a distal end of the drive shaft and accommodating an ultrasound transmitter and receiver and an optical transmitter and receiver, and a positioning member fixed to the housing and fixing a relative position of the optical transmitter and receiver with respect to the ultrasound transmitter and receiver.

Image diagnosis catheter

A diagnostic imaging catheter is disclosed, which is capable of preventing a solution from an internal space of a hub from flowing into a portion communicating with the internal space of the hub and to which the signal lines such as the optical fiber and the electric signal cable are electrically or optically connected. The optical diagnostic catheter includes a rotatable drive shaft, an elongated sheath configured to be inserted into a biological lumen, a hub that includes a port connected to the sheath for supplying the solution, a connector portion that includes an optical connector accommodated in an internal space of the hub and optically connected to an external optical connector, a first seal portion that prevents the solution from the port from flowing into a first connection portion, and a second seal portion that prevents the solution from the port from flowing into a second connection portion.

Diagnostic imaging catheter

An image diagnosis catheter that is configured to inhibit separation of a reflective coating of an optical transceiver includes an elongated sheath having a lumen, a rotatable drive shaft disposed in the lumen of the sheath, a housing disposed at the distal end portion of the drive shaft, and an optical transceiver held in the housing. The optical transceiver has a flat surface coated with a reflective coat, which reflects light propagating in an axial direction of the drive shaft. The housing has two side wall portions disposed to interpose at least the reflecting surface of the optical transceiver therebetween.

An imaging probe is disclosed for diagnosis, which includes an imaging core having a drive shaft internally provided with an optical fiber and a signal line. The imaging probe for diagnosis includes an optical transceiver that is disposed in one end of the optical fiber, and an ultrasound transceiver that is joined to the signal line. The optical transceiver is arranged on a distal side of the imaging core from the ultrasound transceiver. An emitting direction of an ultrasound wave emitted from the ultrasound transceiver and an emitting direction of light emitted from the optical transceiver are substantially parallel to each other, and are directions, which further tilt to a proximal end of the drive shaft than a direction orthogonal to the drive shaft.

Imaging probe for diagnosis

An in-vivo intravascular blood replacing liquid of the present invention is injected into a blood vessel to replace blood at an intravascular portion to be inspected therewith in making an in-vivo intravascular inspection. The blood replacing liquid comprises an aqueous medium unharmful for a living body and a gelling property imparting substance, unharmful for the living body, which is added to the aqueous medium to impart a gelling property to the blood replacing liquid. The blood replacing liquid has a viscosity of not more than 3 mPa&#xb7;s when the blood replacing liquid is injected into the blood vessel.
