A scroll type fluid machine () including a rotation stopping mechanism () for stopping rotation of a movable scroll without hindering revolving motion of the movable scroll () relative to a fixed scroll () fixed to a casing (), the rotation stopping mechanism includes: a support hole () drilled in either one of a base plate () of the movable scroll and a pedestal part () of the casing; a rotation stopping pin () that is fitted into the support hole, and is protruded to the side of the other of the base plate and the pedestal part; a restriction hole () drilled in the other of the base plate and the pedestal part, and loosely fitted with the rotation stopping pin; and a buffer member () interposed between the support hole and the rotation stopping pin.

An electric compressor which compresses a coolant by driving a compression mechanism with a motor which is drive controlled by a drive circuit, said compressor being characterized by having a lead pin connected to a current output section of the drive circuit, and a connector which, by being mounted on the lead pin, can provide electrical continuity between the current output section of the drive circuit and a current input section of the motor, said connector being provided with a connector terminal which contacts the lead pin at the time of mounting on the lead pin, a connector housing which houses the connector terminal, a vacuum flow path that communicates the inside of the connector housing with the outside thereof, and a sealing member which provides a seal between the connector housing and the vacuum flow path. Thus, provided is a compressor which is easy to produce and for which it is possible to secure the electrical insulation properties of the interior of the compressor while homogenizing the internal pressure thereof.

A sealed terminal device for a motor-driven compressor has an electrically insulating terminal holder () to be attached to the housing wall () of the motor-driven compressor, a plurality of sealed terminals () held in the terminal holder (), for penetrating the housing wall () with play to the housing wall (), and a groove () or cavity () formed in the terminal holder () to increase a creepage distance for insulation between the sealed terminals.

An electric compressor integral with a drive circuit incorporates a compression mechanism section, a motor for driving the compression mechanism section, and a motor drive circuit. A refrigerant gas chamber having a refrigerant gas expansion space, into which refrigerant gas is introduced, is formed between a drive circuit installation section and a motor installation section, by a first partition wall provided on the drive circuit side and a second partition wall provided on the motor side, the side opposite the drive circuit side. The refrigerant gas chamber is interrupted by the first partition wall against the drive circuit installation section and is communicated with the motor installation section by a through hole that is provided in the second partition wall and through which the refrigerant gas can pass. Heat generating components, particularly in the drive circuit, can be easily and effectively cooled, and also on the motor installation side, cooling of the motor and lubrication of a bearing section can be easily and excellently performed.

A belt () of a continuously variable transmission comprises a pair of endless rings () and plural elements () held between the pair of endless rings (). The endless rings () are formed of plural laminated thin plates (). A prestress in a compression direction is applied beforehand to the surfaces of the thin plates () by a nitriding treatment. In this process, a defect part () is formed as a hollow in the thin plate () due to scatter in the nitriding treatment. This invention measures the depth of the defect part (), and if the measured depth exceeds a predetermined tolerance value, it is determined that the prestress is insufficient. Due to this determination method, a highly precise inspection of the thin plates () forming the endless rings () can be performed in a short time.

Inspection of a continuously variable transmission belt member

A continuously variable V-belt transmission basically has a driving pulley, a driven pulley and a V-belt wound around the pulleys. The frictional engagement between the pulleys and the V-belt is controlled by regulating pulley axial thrusts to the pulleys. The V-belt has a plurality of torque transmitting connected by an annular ring. A boundary-detection arrangement is provided to detect a boundary position between a first region, in which the elements are arranged without any gap therebetween, and a second region, in which the elements are arranged with a gap therebetween, along a portion of the driving pulley when torque is being transmitted. The detected boundary position is used to estimate the pulley axial thrust applied by the driving pulley against the V-belt, and to control the pulley axial thrust to a lower limit which ensures that the V-belt will not slip upon application of the maximum torque.

A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) belt inspection device comprising a detection section for a running track and a determination section for distinguishing at least whether the cause of that running track is a substance attributable to an impurity, such as metal powder, etc. or an object attributable to an irregular-shaped area based on the periodicity of that running track. Particularly, when the cause of a running track is determined to be a substance attributable to an innocuous impurity, such as metal powder, etc., unnecessary part replacements can be avoided and a significant cost reduction achieved.
