Provided is an epoxy-amine adduct. The epoxy-amine adduct is a compound that may be a compound I containing two or more amino groups per molecule, a compound corresponding to the compound I, except being modified with a compound II-1 containing two or more (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule, a compound corresponding to the compound I, except being modified with a lactone II-2, or a salt of the compound I. The compound I is an adduct between an epoxide (A) containing two or more cycloaliphatic epoxy groups per molecule and an amine (B) containing two or more amino groups per molecule. The compound I includes a constitutional unit represented by Formula (I) and a constitutional unit represented by Formula (II) and contains amino groups at both ends. Formulae (I) and (II) are expressed as follows:

Provided is an epoxy-amine adduct that offers high reactivity, contributes to better adhesion between a resin and a reinforcing fiber in a fiber-reinforced composite material, and can be easily blended with another component such as a resin. The epoxy-amine adduct has two or more amino groups per molecule and is obtained by a reaction of an epoxy compound (A) having two or more alicyclic epoxy groups per molecule with an amine compound (B) having two or more amino groups per molecule. The epoxy compound (A) is preferably a compound represented by Formula (a):

Disclosed is a liquid curable epoxy resin composition which includes a cycloaliphatic epoxy compound (A) having at least one alicyclic skeleton and two or more epoxy groups per molecule; a silica (B); and a phosphite ester (C). The liquid curable epoxy resin composition preferably includes, for example, 5 to 80 parts by weight of the cycloaliphatic epoxy compound (A) having at least one alicyclic skeleton and two or more epoxy groups per molecule; 20 to 95 parts by weight of the silica (B); and 0.001 to 5.0 parts by weight of the phosphite ester (C), per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the components (A) and (B).

Curable epoxy resin composition

Disclosed is a liquid thermosetting epoxy resin composition including a base resin, a curing agent (D), and curing accelerator (E) or including a base resin and a curing catalyst (D'), each base resin including an alicyclic epoxy compound (A) having at least one alicyclic skeleton and two or more epoxy groups per molecule; a polyester polyol and/or a polycarbonate polyol (B), each polyol having two or more terminal hydroxyl groups; and a phosphorous ester (C). The liquid thermosetting epoxy resin composition exhibits excellent viscosity stability and can give a cured article which is homogeneous even when having a large thickness, does not crack under heat cycle conditions, and is highly thermally stable and satisfactorily optically transparent.

Thermosetting epoxy resin composition and uses thereof

This invention relates to aliphatic polyesters having a controlled thermal decomposition, hydrolizability, and biodegradability, in which OH terminals and COOH terminals are decreased through a ring-opening polymerization of a lactone and lactide by a mono alcohol or a metal alkoxide, or by decreasing both terminals through combining polymer terminals with diisocyanate. From a composition containing the polyesters, this invention provides a controlled release composition for agriculture. From a resin primarily containing fatty acid cellulose ester derivatives, this invention provides a base film for a marking film without volatilization and plasticizer migration problems; a picture image formable heat-sensitive transfer recording material with excellent strippability, coloring concentration, and brightness; a conductive coating composition with excellent storage stability, adhesion, and conductivity; a single-liquid type coating for a moisture-curable graft copolymer, and a non-toxic and non-irritating coating composition with excellent dryability. The copolymers of this invention also have excellent heat and impact resistance.

The present invention relates to a polyester block copolymer composition which is obtained by reacting 0.5 to 5.0 parts by weight of an epoxy compound (C) having two or more functionalities with 100 parts by weight of a polyester block copolymer (P) having an acid value of 0 to 5 mgKOH/g obtained by reacting a crystalline aromatic polyester (A) having a hydroxyl group at a molecular terminal with a lactone (B) and optionally with a polyfunctional compound (D) having three or more groups selected among carboxyl, hydroxyl, and/or ester groups thereof. The composition has such excellent moldability that it is applicable to molding techniques including blow molding without arousing any trouble. It is satisfactory in heat resistance, water resistance, impact resistance, or flame retardancy, and has rubber-like elasticity.

Polyester block copolymer composition

In the present invention, there are obtained aliphatic polyesters having a controlled thermal decomposing property, hydrolizability, and biodegradability, in which OH terminals and COOH terminals are decreased to 50% and 30%, respectively, through a ring-opening polymerization of a lactone and lactide by a mono alcohol having a high boiling point or a metal alkoxide, or by further decreasing both terminals through combining produced polymer terminals with a diisocyanate and, from a composition containing the polyesters, there is obtained a particle-state composition for agriculture and gardening in which a duration period of a fertilizing effect can be controlled, and which is not remained in soil by decomposition. From a resin primarily containing fatty acid cellulose ester derivatives, there are obtained a base film for a marking film which does not include a problem such as volatilization and migration of a plasticizer and a picture image formable heat-sensitive transfer recording material which is excellent in strippability, coloring concentration, and brightness, a conductive coating composition which is excellent in storage stability, adhesion, and conductivity, a single-liquid type coating and a moisture-curable graft copolymer, and a coating composition which have a non toxicity and nonirritating property and which are excellent in dryability. A copolymer in which average chain length in lactone and lactide units are controlled is excellent in heat resistance and impact resistance.
