A system for controlling operation of a fine pattern printing apparatus. The system including a command storing portion in which a plurality of unit-operation instructing commands capable of instructing execution of corresponding unit operations which are components of the pattern printing operation of the apparatus and at least one sequential operation instructing command including a combination of at least a predetermined portion of the unit-operation instructing commands are stored. A command selecting portion for allowing selection of the commands stored in the command storing portion; a sequence setting portion cooperative with the command selecting portion so as to set, in the command storing portion, a desired sequential operation instructing command formed by a plurality of unit-operation instructing commands each of which is stored in the command storing portion. The sequential operation instructing command set in the storing portion by the sequence setting portion is selectable by the command selecting portion and operation controlling portion cooperative with the command selecting portion so as to control the operation of the apparatus in accordance with such one of the commands stored in the storing portion that is selected by the selection portion.

A device for opening and closing a lid of a box consisting of a housing and the lid includes a first link having one end linked to the housing at the edge of the opening and the other end linked to the lid and a second link extending parallel to the first link and having one end like the aforesaid one end of the first link linked to the lid and the other end linked to the housing at the edge of the opening. A damper for damping rotation has a construction in which a rotor having a braking plate immersed in oil disposed within a casing and a gear are coupled together by a means of a clutch spring in the form of a coil spring. When the gear is rotated in one direction, it is coupled with the rotor as a result of diametrical contraction of the spring, and a restoring force is stored within the clutch spring, thus producing a resistance against rotation. When it is rotated in the opposite direction, the restoring force of the clutch spring is released so as to permit free rotation of the gear. The coil spring is coiled about a shouldered portion of the rotor shaft and a lower portion of a gear sleeve, supporting the gear, which have the same diametrical extent. In this manner, projecting end portions of the spring, upon which excessive loads have been impressed within the prior art, are able to be eliminated thereby providing extended service life to the spring and damper assembly.

A high frequency welding method comprises providing two plastic workpieces to be welded together with respective ribs which face each other, extend to the same height and have their surfaces opposite their facing surfaces inclined such that their thicknesses decrease toward their tops, and applying high frequency vibration to the ribs by positioning a high frequency welder horn such that the bottom of an annular groove of the horn having an arcuate sectional profile is pressed against the tops of the ribs.

A rotary damper comprises a cylindrical case closed at the bottom and having a housing containing a viscous liquid, a lid mounted in the case to close the housing and having a central circular hole, and a rotor having a shaft passing through the hole of the lid, a driven gear secured to its distal end and a brake plate rotatably disposed in the viscous liquid in the housing. The central circular hole has an increased diameter portion provided adjacent to the housing, and an O-ring is fitted on the shaft of the rotor and received in the increased diameter portion such that it is radially compressed by the peripheral wall of the increased diameter portion.

A time-clock recording and computation apparatus of which operation is controlled by a microcomputer, includes computation means comprising a data storage unit (107) in which attendance data based on a predetermined attendance system are stored, and a processing unit (100) effecting predetermined calculation based on the data stored in said data storage unit. The apparatus further includes optional rest processing means provided in the computation means. The optional rest processing means is operative to execute predetermined processing comprising the steps of storing parameters in respect of an optional rest in the data storage unit, effecting comparative judgement between the data indicative of entering and leaving and optional rest processing patterns based on said parameters, and sequentially summing up the processed results in the data storage unit. Thus, with the optional rest processing means, it is possible to output as to whether the actual optional rest is suitable or not with respect to the attendance system, a region whether an optional rest is obtainable and a time interval to be obtained on the basis of the summed up data. Accordingly, the apparatus of the invention makes it possible to properly deal with time in connection with the optional rest, and to automatically record the results thereof.

A time recorder having an assembly with structure for reading out a personal code recorded on an inserted time card, a memory provided corresponding to each personal code for storing status data expressing at least the distinction of either 'arrival queuing' or 'departure queuing', a print column control for making reference to status storage corresponding to the personal code read out by a read-out at the time of receiving of the time card and also for printing the time of receiving of the time card in the arrival time column if the contents of the status storage are 'arrival queuing' or in the departure time column if the contents are 'departure queuing', and a storage status control for setting the contents of a status storage means to 'departure queuing' every time when the printing is made in the departure time column.

A working hour system corresponding to each of a number of different kinds of plural work classes is stored in the form of predetermined format in a storage section of a time recorder. A time card has a work class code expressing the work class of the person who owns the card. When the time card is inserted into the time recorder, the time recorder first reads out the work class code recorded on the time, determines the work data related to the time of acceptance of the card by arithmetic operation based on the working hour system in a storage section corresponding to the work class code, and prints the results of this arithmetic operation on the time card.
