An image processing system includes: an image forming apparatus; a terminal capable of transmitting a print job; a server that sends a push notification to the terminal based on identification information; a memory that stores the identification and terminal information in association with each other when the identification information is generated upon reception of permission of the push notification; and a CPU that: upon reception of the print job, extracts the terminal information from received data of the print job; designates the identification information associated with the extracted terminal information from stored information; generates information about a print setting screen based on the print job; and causes the push notification of the information about the print setting screen to be sent from the server to the terminal associated with the identification information based on the generated information about the print setting screen and the designated identification information.

A printer driver is installed on a client PC. The printer driver acquires a first time stamp from a server, and determines whether the first time stamp and a second time stamp stored in the client PC are identical. When the first time stamp and the second time stamp are different, the printer driver acquires device option information of a MFP. When the first time stamp and the second time stamp are different, the printer driver updates content of the second time stamp to content of the first time stamp.

To facilitate per-page setting for data to be printed in an MFP, a PC controlling the MFP includes a print instruction accepting portion to accept data including pages and page setting information having, for each page, a parameter set for a page setting item which can be set per page, an HDD which stores in advance setting information in which a first parameter which can be set for the page setting item is associated with a second parameter which can be set for a subordinate item selected from option items which can be set for printing in the MFP, and a command generating portion to generate, for each page, a command to cause the MFP to perform printing, based on the first parameter set for the page setting item in the accepted page setting information and the second parameter associated with that first parameter by the stored setting information.

There is described a printing system in which a computer terminal device and an image forming apparatus are coupled to each other through a communication network. The computer terminal device includes: an apparatus information acquiring section to acquire apparatus information that includes information in regard to a kind of paper-sheet feeding tray of the image forming apparatus and a kind of paper sheet corresponding to the paper-sheet feeding tray, from the image forming apparatus; a display section to display a specific screen for setting a print condition; and a print condition setting section to control the display section, so that both the apparatus information and setting information that includes information in regard to a kind of paper-sheet feeding tray and a kind of paper sheet corresponding to the paper-sheet feeding tray, which are established in advance by a user or as default information, are displayed on the specific screen.
