The present disclosure pertains to a fixing tool for holding a tubular catheter fixed in relation to the skin of a patient. This catheter fixing tool is equipped with a plate-shaped fixing tool main body and a securing member. The fixing tool main body has a retaining part, defining a catheter retaining slot, and a pair of wing pieces. The securing member can be interlocked with the fixing tool main body by rotating the securing member in a direction parallel to a principal surface of the fixing tool main body taking a virtual line perpendicular to the principal surface as the central axis C. When securing member is rotationally interlocked with the fixing tool main body, the securing member presses the retaining part and the catheter securing slot is constricted. As a result, the catheter is held fixed by the securing member.

Catheter fixation device

A catheter fixturefor fixing a tubular catheterto skin of a patient is provided with a plate shaped fixture main body, a fixing memberthat is configured separately from the fixture main body, and a pivot connecting shaft. The plate shaped fixture main bodyincludes a retention partwhere a catheter retaining grooveis formed, and a pair of winged piecesand. The pivot connecting shaftboth connects the fixture main bodyand the fixing memberand acts as the pivot access Cof the fixing member. The fixing memberhas a pivoting action along a horizontal plane direction of the fixture main bodycentrally around the pivot connecting shaft. When doing so, the catheter retaining grooveis covered by the fixing memberthereby fixing the catheter

A valved catheter is provided which includes a slit that opens readily in both directions either when a fluid is caused to flow from the interior to the exterior thereof or when a fluid is caused to flow from the exterior to the interior thereof, and that prevents inadvertent closure thereof from the opened state. The valve includes an openable slit that penetrates from the inner surface to the outer surface of a distal end section of a valved catheter with a closed distal end, and edge portions on the two sides of the slit are formed along the direction in which the valved catheter extends. The slit includes a linear shape in the cross-section of the distal end section of the valved catheter that extends in a position away from a center line 'c' that passes through the center of the valved catheter in parallel with this center line 'c' whereupon, either one of the edge portions deforms more readily than either one of the other edge portions.
