An antenna is configured to receive authentication information through wireless communication from a mobile device adapted to be carried by a user. A detector is configured to perform detection of approach or contact of an object to be detected with respect to the antenna based on a change in an electrostatic capacitance. A control device is configured to control an operation of a device to be controlled based on a result of the detection in addition to authentication for authenticating the mobile device with the authentication information.

A sensor outputs distance information indicating a distance to an object located in a detection area. A control device controls an operation of a device to be controlled based on a fact that the distance information satisfies prescribed conditions that include: i) a condition that the distance exhibits a change corresponding to an entry of the object into the detection area; ii) a condition that the distance maintains a first value for at least a first time length; and iii) a condition that a change of the distance including a monotonic decrease from the first value and a subsequent monotonic increase to a second value is finished within a second time length, wherein a difference between the first value and the second value is no greater than a threshold value.

A sensor outputs distance information indicating a first distance to a first object located in a detection area and a second distance to a second object located in the detection area. A control device allows an operation control of a device to be controlled based on a fact that the distance information satisfies prescribed conditions that include: i) a condition that the first distance and the second distance exhibit changes corresponding to entries of the first object and the second object into the detection area; and ii) a condition that one of the first distance and the second distance monotonically decreases and then monotonically increases while the other one of the first distance and the second distance maintains a first value.

A vehicle-mounted system provided in a vehicle including a tire includes a detector attached to the tire, the detector transmitting a detection signal, and a monitoring unit that determines a position of the tire based on a plurality of detection signals received from the detector. The detector determines a direction of revolution of the tire, and when the detector determines that the direction of revolution of the tire has changed, it switches a frequency of transmission of the detection signal from a first frequency to a second frequency higher than the first frequency.

There is provided a housing device configured to store an electronic key configured to perform wireless communication with an in-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle, the housing device comprising: a housing formed by using a material that shields a first signal transmitted by the in-vehicle device; a trigger signal reception antenna configured to receive a trigger signal transmitted by a portable device carried by a user; and a control mechanism configured to control whether or not to enable the first signal to reach an inside of the housing based on the trigger signal, wherein the second signal transmitted by the electronic key that has received the first signal is used to control a control target device installed in the vehicle.

An authentication system includes a first controller that performs wireless communication with a mobile terminal and a first authentication unit that executes authentication of the mobile terminal including ID authentication and code authentication through the wireless communication performed between the first controller and the mobile terminal. The first authentication unit executes the code authentication by determining whether a terminal-side calculation result obtained by the mobile terminal matches a controller-side calculation result obtained by the first controller. The authentication system further includes a second controller that communicates with the mobile terminal and a second authentication unit that applies encryption communication using a portion of the terminal-side calculation result and a portion of the controller-side calculation result to communication performed between the second controller and the mobile terminal and authenticates the encryption communication.

A vehicle control device includes an actuation unit that actuates an anomaly control switch that acknowledges execution of safety control, which improves safety during driving of a vehicle, upon detection of an occupant in an anomalous state from a monitoring result of a state of the occupant of the vehicle. The actuation unit causes the anomaly control switch to be actuated to allow the occupant to recognize a control content of the safety control. The vehicle control device further includes an operation acknowledgement unit that acknowledges operation of the anomaly control switch and a controller that executes the safety control when the operation acknowledgement unit acknowledges the operation of the anomaly control switch.

An unauthorized communication establishment prevention system includes a measurement unit arranged in at least one of a terminal and a communication peer. The measurement unit implements an unauthorized communication detection function and obtains a measurement value corresponding to a distance between the terminal and the communication peer. The system further includes a process execution unit that controls initiation, based on a determination result of whether the measurement value is appropriate, of an authentication performed through wireless communication established between the terminal and the communication peer even when the terminal is not operated. The system further includes a monitoring unit that monitors a battery level of the terminal and a suspension unit that suspends the unauthorized communication detection function when the battery level of the terminal is less than a specified amount that is not a battery depletion level.

A system that prevents accomplishment of unauthorized communication between a terminal and a communication peer is provided. The system includes a measurement unit and a process execution unit. The measurement unit is arranged on at least one of the terminal or the communication peer to obtain a measured value corresponding to a distance between the terminal and the communication peer. The process execution unit determines whether the measured value is appropriate and controls actuation for authentication of the terminal through wireless communication performed between the terminal and the communication peer based on the determination result. The measurement unit executes a process for obtaining the measured value in a time period during which the communication for the authentication is not performed.

System and method for preventing accomplishment of unauthorized communication

There is provided a housing device configured to store an electronic key configured to perform wireless communication with an in-vehicle device, the housing device comprising: a housing formed by using a material that shields a first signal of a first frequency band transmitted by the in-vehicle device; a trigger signal reception antenna configured to receive a trigger signal transmitted by a portable device; and an actuator disposed inside the housing, and configured to operate an operation section installed in the electronic key based on the trigger signal, wherein the housing includes a passage structure that allows a second signal of a second frequency band to pass outside, the second signal being transmitted by the electronic key, and having a shorter wavelength than a wavelength of the first signal, and the second signal is used to control a control target device installed in the vehicle.

A viewing device for a vehicle has: a monitor that displays a captured image of a vehicle rear side; and a control device that carries out display control that compresses the captured image such that a compression rate gradually becomes higher from a vehicle inner side toward outer sides, and displays an image on the monitor.
