An engine lubrication system including: an oil pump configured to be driven by an engine; an oil jet mechanism configured to inject oil pressure-fed by the oil pump to a piston; and circuitry configured to set a target hydraulic pressure of the oil injected from the oil jet mechanism according to an operation state of the engine; determine a hydraulic pressure state of the oil injected from the oil jet mechanism; and change a gear stage of the automatic transmission to a lower gear stage in a case that a predetermined condition between the determined hydraulic pressure state and the target hydraulic pressure is satisfied.

Engine lubrication system

A controller increases an actual oil pressure up to a transient oil pressure (an actuating oil pressure) and then supplies oil adjusted to have the transient oil pressure (the actuating oil pressure) to valve stopping mechanisms to actuate the valve stopping mechanisms. The controller, when actuating the valve stopping mechanisms, starts increase in an intake filling amount when the actual oil pressure increases up to a predetermined determination value set at the transient oil pressure (the actuating oil pressure) or lower.

Device and method for controlling engine

A controller sets a target hydraulic pressure from a required hydraulic pressure of a hydraulically operated device according to an operating condition of an engine. The controller causes an oil control valve to perform feedback control of the discharge amount of an oil pump in such a manner that an actual hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor coincides with the target hydraulic pressure. The controller executes feedback control after executing fixed duty control of setting a duty ratio of the oil control valve to a fixed duty ratio for a predetermined period of time from start of the engine.

An oil supply control device for an engine includes: a hydraulic controller which outputs a control value to an adjusting device to cause a detected hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor to coincide with a predetermined hydraulic pressure value; a determination portion which compares an output control value output from the hydraulic controller to the adjusting device when the detected hydraulic pressure coincides with the predetermined hydraulic pressure value and a control value stored in a memory, to determine whether or not a difference between the output control value and the stored control value lies within a predetermined allowable range; and a device controller which allows activation of a hydraulic actuating device when an oil temperature is not lower than a first temperature in a case where the difference lies within the allowable range, inhibits activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is lower than a second temperature higher than the first temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range, and allows activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is not lower than the second temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range.

Oil supply control device of engine

An oil supply control device includes: a memory which stores first master data constituted by predetermined control value; a hydraulic controller which outputs the control value to an adjusting device to cause a hydraulic pressure to coincide with a target hydraulic pressure; and a determination portion which determines whether or not a first difference between an output control value and the control value of the first master data lies within a predetermined allowable range, wherein the hydraulic controller starts to control the adjusting device with use of the control value of the first master data, when the first difference lies within the allowable range, and starts to control the adjusting device with use of the control value of second master data, when the first difference does not lie within the allowable range, the control value of the second master data causing the first difference to lie within the allowable range.

An oil supply control device includes: an adjusting device which adjusts an oil discharge amount according to an input control value to adjust a hydraulic pressure; a hydraulic controller which outputs the control value to the adjusting device; a memory which stores a first initial control value corresponding to a first target hydraulic pressure at which a hydraulic actuating device is not activated, and a second initial control value corresponding to a second target hydraulic pressure at which the hydraulic actuating device is activated; and a determination portion which compares oil initial characteristics represented by the first and second initial control values with oil characteristics represented by first and second control values, to perform oil determination as to whether or not a viscosity of the oil has changed, the first control value being input before increase of the hydraulic pressure, the second control value being input after increase.

A hydraulic control system for an engine having a plurality of cylinders includes: valve stop mechanisms that switch the engine from all-cylinder operation to cylinder cut-off operation; a VVT that can change the timing to open and close valvesduring all-cylinder operation and cylinder cut-off operation; an oil pump that supplies oil to hydraulically operated devices including the valve stop mechanisms and the VVT through a hydraulic path; and a control device. The control device controls a maintaining oil pressure, which is required to maintain the operated state of the valve stop mechanisms during cylinder cut-off operation, so that the maintaining oil pressure is set to a high value in a high oil viscosity region.

Hydraulic control system for engine

An oil supply device for an engine is provided with an oil pump of a variable capacity type; a plurality of hydraulically operated devices connected to the pump via an oil path; a pump control unit which changes the capacity of the pump to control a discharge amount of oil; and a hydraulic pressure detecting unit which detects a hydraulic pressure of the oil path. The plurality of the hydraulically operated devices include a metal bearing, and the pump control unit sets a highest requested hydraulic pressure among requested hydraulic pressures of the hydraulically operated devices as a target hydraulic pressure for each of the operating conditions of the engine, and changes the capacity of the pump in such a manner that the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic pressure detecting unit coincides with the target hydraulic pressure for controlling the discharge amount.

An oil supply system for an engine is provided, which includes an oil pressure controller for controlling a variable displacement oil pump to adjust a discharge pressure thereof to reach a target oil pressure corresponding to an operating state of the engine, the variable displacement oil pump capable of adjusting a discharge amount of oil, a load detector for detecting an engine load, and an oil temperature detector for detecting an oil temperature. When the engine load is low, to increase an amount of oil mist flowing inside a crank case of the engine, the oil pressure controller controls the variable displacement oil pump to increase the discharge amount as the oil temperature becomes lower, the oil mist generated by the oil flowing out of a bearing part rotatably supporting at least a crankshaft and being atomized, the engine load being considered low when below a predetermined reference load.

Oil supply system for engine

The invention relates to a control device for a multi-cylinder engine provided with an oil pump, a hydraulically operated valve characteristic control device which changes valve characteristics of at least one of an intake valve and an exhaust valve; and a hydraulically operated valve stop device which stops at least one of the intake valve and the exhaust valve when a reduced cylinder operation is performed. The control device for a multi-cylinder engine is provided with a valve control unit which operates the valve stop device after an operation of the valve characteristic control device is completed when the valve characteristic control device is operated at a time of request for the reduced cylinder operation.

Control device for multi-cylinder engine

A control device of a multi-cylinder engine is provided. The device includes first and second auxiliary components. The first auxiliary component generates energy. The device includes an angular speed variation detecting device for detecting an angular speed variation of a crankshaft, and an auxiliary component control device for controlling drive loads of the first and second auxiliary components. When an engine load is low and the angular speed variation exceeds a predetermined threshold, the auxiliary component control device increases a total drive load of the auxiliary components. Here, if the drive load of the first auxiliary component is increasable, the drive load of the first auxiliary component is increased, and when this increase amount is insufficient, the drive load of the second auxiliary component is increased, whereas if the drive load of the first auxiliary component is not increasable, the drive load of the second auxiliary component is increased.

Method and device for controlling multi-cylinder engine

A control device of a multi-cylinder engine is provided. The control device includes an auxiliary component and a valve stopping device having a locking mechanism for stopping an operation of at least one of intake and exhaust valves of a specific cylinder of the multi-cylinder engine according to an engine operating state. The control device includes an angular speed variation detecting device for detecting an angular speed variation of a crankshaft, an auxiliary component control device for controlling a drive load of the auxiliary component. In an all-cylinder operation, when an engine load is lower than a predetermined value and the detected angular speed variation exceeds a predetermined threshold, the auxiliary component control device performs an auxiliary component drive load increase control in which the drive load of the auxiliary component is increased to reduce the angular speed variation to be lower than the predetermined threshold.

Control device of multi-cylinder engine

An oil pump unit comprises a pump shaft and a pump housing which stores the pump shaft. A balancer unit comprises a pair of balancer shafts and a balancer housing which stores the balancer shafts. The pump housing and the balancer housing are coupled to each other at least in the vicinity of a periphery of the pump shaft, and at a coupling portion in the vicinity of the periphery of a power transmission shaft is formed a connection groove which connects the inside to the inside of the coupling portion. Accordingly, it can be retrained that the reliability of journal portions of the balancer shaft of the balancer unit and the like is deteriorated by dusts and the like contained in high-pressure oil from the oil pump unit in a balancer device of an engine.
