According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first light shielding layer, a second light shielding layer, a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, a gate line, a first source line, a second source line, a switching element, and a pixel electrode, wherein an area in which the first light shielding layer and the pixel electrode are opposed to each other and an area in which the second light shielding layer and the pixel electrode are opposed to each other are equal in size.

Display device

In one embodiment, an array substrate includes a first array area and a second array area adjoining the first array area. The first array area includes a first electric power supply line arranged along a periphery of the first array area. The second array area includes a pixel electrode, a second electric power supply line arranged along a periphery of the second array area, and an electric power supply pad electrically connected with the second electric power supply line. The electric power supply pad is arranged facing the first electric power supply line so as to sandwich a boundary between the first array area and the second array area. Corner potions of the electric power supply pad facing the first electric power supply line are formed in an arc shape.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having an active area in which pixels are arranged in a matrix including first and second signal lines and connecting lines. The second signal lines and connecting lines extend in a column direction in the active area. The first signal lines extend in a row direction so as to cross the second signal lines and the connecting lines. The first signal lines are connected to the connecting lines through contact portions provided at the cross area where the first signal lines cross with the connecting lines interposing an insulating layer. The second signal lines and the connecting lines are pulled out from the active area to a signal supply source provided at outside of the active area without detouring in a peripheral region of the display panel.

Liquid crystal display device

A color cathode-ray tube where an electron beam selection mask with an aperture grille type beam selection electrode of a thin metal plate attached to a frame is supported by engagement of stud pins with support springs and is thereby positioned stably opposite to a color luminescent screen formed on the inner surface of a panel. A projection is formed on either the top of each stud pin or the bottom of each cap opposed thereto, while a recess is formed in the other for engagement with the projection in the direction orthogonal to the action of the support spring. The mutual contact portions of such projection and recess are coated with solid lubricant films so that the beam selection mask can be reset at its proper position despite any external impact applied thereto. The elasticity constant of the frame is selectively set at a desired value with additional disposition of reinforcing plates having the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the frame, thereby averting vibration of the beam selection mask. And rotary mechanisms are formed relative to the support springs and are rotated in accordance with thermal expansion of the frame, so that the frame is shifted toward the panel surface having a color luminescent screen thereon, whereby mislanding of the electron beam due to temperature rise in the beam selection mask can be prevented.

An electron gun employed in a color cathode ray tube, or the like, adapted, when electron beams are deflected in a convergence free deflecting magnetic field, to achieve optimal focused conditions for both the electron beam landing at the center and that landing at the corners of a screen by making, within a principal converging region for converging the electron beams, the converging angle in the vertical direction smaller than that in the horizontal direction and by forming, within an object point forming region, the object point in the vertical direction at a further position than where the object point in the horizontal direction is formed.
