An X-ray detector for use in a medical X-ray imaging apparatus comprising a rotary means rotatable relative to an object to be examined, an X-ray generator provided at one side of the rotary means, and an X-ray detecting portion provided at the other side of the rotary means so as to face the X-ray generator. The X-ray detector is provided in the X-ray detecting portion or is detachably mounted in the X-ray detecting portion, the X-ray detector is provided with an imaging portion comprised of a plane electric imaging means extending in a two-dimensional direction used for X-ray CT and has an imaging portion positioning means for moving up and down the imaging portion in the X-ray detector.

Medical X-ray imaging apparatus and X-ray detector for using the same

An X-ray CT apparatus which executes a first X-ray tomography on a sectional plane having a desirable thickness in an object to be examined () with the object interposed between an X-ray generator () and a two-dimensional X-ray image sensor () provided so as to hold their mutual facing positional relation, and also executes a second X-ray tomography for obtaining a CT image of the interested area of the object (). The first X-ray tomography is executed on the object () while the object () is held and fixed by an object holder () with the center of the orbit of the X-ray circulating radiation fixed, and while the object holder () is moved by an object mover () along the X-ray sectional image forming path according to the rotary angle of the X-ray circulating radiation.

X-ray computer tomography apparatus

An X-ray device for generating a panoramic tomogram is designed so that a revolving arm can move between a first position, where an X-ray generator and an X-ray receiver that are both supported by the revolving arm oppose each other through the head of a patient positioned in a patient positioning station, and a second position, where an operator of the X-ray device can look at the patient's head from a side view, thereby allowing the operator to properly position the patient in the patient positioning station. The incorporation of a second X-ray receiver additionally allows for the generation of a cephalogram. The incorporation of a blind prevents the patient from visually or physically interacting with selected components of the apparatus.

A motor controller for a dental handpiece comprising a torque detection means for detecting the load torque applied to a cutting tool, and a control means for stopping a cutting tool drive motor, reducing the rotation speed of the motor or temporarily reversing the motor when the detected load torque has reached a preset reference torque. With this controller, a cutting tool such as a relatively slender file for root canal formation can be prevented from breaking. In addition, the operability of the handpiece can be improved, and operation such as root canal formation can be conducted easily.

A dental treatment apparatus with a root canal length measurement function comprising a cordless handpiece equipped with at least a cutting tool drive motor, a root canal length measurement circuit and a power supply battery, and a charger equipped with at least a charge circuit for charging the power supply battery. With this structure, the handpiece can be operated as desired without interference with any tube since no tube is necessary to connect the handpiece to a main control unit, thereby capable of providing an easy-to-use treatment apparatus. By charging the power supply battery for the handpiece using the charger, the battery can be used repeatedly.

Dental treatment apparatus with a root canal length measurement function

The present invention discloses a handpiece having a root canal length measurement function, wherein a signal circuit, which is specifically provided for sending measurement signals from a root canal length measurement circuit to a measurement probe mounted on a head provided at the tip of the handpiece, is incorporated in the handpiece, and the signal circuit is electrically connected to the measurement probe via a contact piece in the vicinity of the measurement probe. Therefore, it is not necessary to connect the signal circuit for measurement by way of the outside of the handpiece. In addition, this structure improves the operability of the handpiece because there is no lead wire for connection. Furthermore, this structure eliminates the troublesome task of externally connecting lead wires to the head of the handpiece, which would otherwise be required at each treatment time. Moreover, the signal circuit is securely formed without passing through a drive power transmission mechanism, thereby preventing unstable operation of root canal length measurement due to instantaneous opening of the signal circuit. Additionally, it is possible to use a cutting tool having a shank portion and a cutting portion insulated from each other.
