An air intake control system is provided for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. The control system includes an intake port of a cylinder head for an engine main body, a throttle body having a throttle valve and connected to the intake port, an electric actuator having an electric motor and arranged on the throttle body to drive open or close the throttle valve, and a connector disposed on a housing of the electric actuator in a position facing toward one axial end of a crankshaft. The connector is provided in order to connect to an outside conductor to the electric motor of the electric actuator. The resulting configuration facilitates the work to connecting the outside conductor to the connector.

Air intake control system for internal combustion engine of a vehicle

An electronic throttle control device in a internal combustion engine for a vehicle can be improved in maintainability and can be reduced in size. An electronic throttle control device in a V-type internal combustion engine for a vehicle has a fuel injection valve and throttle valves in an intake passage. A throttle driving motor controls the opening angle of each throttle valve according to the amount of operation of a throttle grip performed by an operator of the vehicle. The throttle driving motor is located outside a region surrounded by the throttle bodies that are respectively connected to all of intake ports as viewed in plan.

Electronic throttle control device in V-type internal combustion engine for vehicle

The invention relates to an engine arrangement that increases the degree of freedom of the engine state sensor while decreasing the size of the engine body. More specifically, the engine is formed with a chamber for housing a valve train and serving dually as a return oil path of the lubricating oil after having lubricated the valve train. The engine includes an oil temperature sensor partially exposed on one side of a cylinder block and an exhaust pipe partially exposed on the opposite side of the cylinder block.

A radar module has an antenna assembly, a plurality of transmitting and receiving assemblies, and a plurality of circulators all mounted on a dielectric substrate. The antenna assembly has a plurality of transmitting and receiving channels including respective planar array antenna elements each composed of a plurality of patches connected to and spaced along a linear distal end portion of a feeder line. The planar array antenna elements are arrayed in a direction substantially perpendicular to the linear distal end portion of the feeder line. The transmitting and receiving assemblies, implemented as monolithic microwave integrated circuits, selectively transmit high-frequency signals to the planar array antenna elements and selectively receive echo signals from the planar array antenna elements. The circulators are associated with the transmitting and receiving channels, respectively, and connect the respective linear distal end portions of the feeder lines to transmission and reception end portions which are connected to the transmitting and receiving assemblies, respectively.

Radar module and antenna device

A multibeam radar system includes a multibeam radar module having n (n is a natural number of at least 3) transmitting/receiving channels for transmitting high-frequency signals and receiving echo signals, and a radar circuit for detecting a distance up to an object which produces the echo signals and/or a relative speed of the object from a relationship between the high-frequency signals and the echo signals in the transmitting/receiving channels. The radar circuit includes a channel controller for selecting sets of m (m is a natural number smaller than n) adjacent transmitting/receiving channels sequentially to transmit the high-frequency signals and receive the echo signals in a high-azimuth-resolution mode. The channel controller may also select the transmitting/receiving channels sequentially one by one to transmit the high-frequency signals and receive the echo signals in a low-azimuth-resolution mode.

Multibeam radar system

A radar module includes an antenna assembly, a plurality of transmitting and receiving assemblies, a plurality of circulators, a common signal generator circuit, and a signal distributor all mounted on a dielectric substrate. The transmitting and receiving assemblies may be housed in respective monolithic microwave integrated circuit packages each comprising a metal substrate, a high-frequency integrated circuit mounted on one surface of the metal substrate, and a low-frequency integrated circuit mounted on an opposite surface of the metal substrate and electrically connected to the high-frequency integrated circuit.

Radar module and MMIC package for use in such radar module

A single dielectric substrate having formed thereon a plurality of planar antenna elements, and a ferrite substrate provided with a circulator are joined together to form a planar antenna module of an integral construction. The planar antenna elements are each composed of a patch formed by a thick or a thin film deposition technique. In one preferred form of joining, the dielectric substrate and the ferrite substrate are joined together at one side. In another preferred form of the joining, the ferrite substrate is fitted or assembled in an opening or window formed in the dielectric substrate.

Planar antenna module

A transmission channel selection controller intermittently energizes transmission amplifiers indicated by transmission channel information, based on a modulation signal supplied from a modulation signal generator, to modulate an FM signal. The modulated FM signal is radiated as a beam from transmission antennas. When the beam is reflected as an echo beam by an object, the echo beam is received by reception antennas which supply a reception signal to reception amplifiers. A first mixer mixes the FM signal with the amplified reception signal, producing a modulated beat signal which is a beat signal representing the distance up to the object and modulated by the frequency of the modulation signal. A second mixer mixes the modulated beat signal with the modulation signal thereby demodulating the modulated beat signal into the beat signal.

FM radar system

A power supply unit has a capacitor unit for supplying electric power to a load. The capacitor unit has at least two blocks each having a plurality of electric double-layer capacitors connected in series. The manner of connection of the at least two blocks is changed over between series connection and parallel connection in dependence on an output required by the load. A switching regulator is connected to the electric charge-storing device. An electric vehicle having the power supply unit installed thereon is also provided.

Power supply unit and electric vehicle incorporating the same

A microwave circuit package includes a metallic base plate on which are mounted a plurality of monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and a spacer, made of a dielectric material, separating the MMICs from each other, and the MMICs and spacer are sealed in the package. The provision of the spacer substantially reduces the volume of the interior space of the package. A dielectric substrate having generally the same height as substrates of the MMICs may also be mounted on the metallic base plate, and a strip conductor may be provided on the dielectric substrate so as to form a microstrip line thereon.

Microwave circuit package

An antenna device has a plurality of radar modules having respective integrated circuit boards of transmitter and receiver circuits for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves and a common case or respective case members accommodating the integrated circuit boards. The common case or case members have respective primary radiators integrally formed therein. The primary radiators are positioned at the focal point of an offset reflector which is fixedly supported by a holder 10 that also supports the radar modules.
