A process of production of a compressor shoe superior in durability and reduced in manufacturing cost, wherein a process of quenching the shoe is performed in a vacuum, inert gas, or modified gas so as to prevent oxidation of the chrome and manganese of the surface of the material or the quenching process is performed after forming an antioxidation film on the surface of the material to prevent the oxidation of the chrome and manganese.

Process of production of compressor shoe

A cutting process S cuts a wire into cut pieces each having a volume approximately equivalent to that of a desired shoe . A forging process S sequentially forges cut pieces with forging dies , and having three cavities , and respectively, and obtains a steel sphere . A finishing process S obtains a shoe-shaped material from the steel sphere without a heat treatment, and carries out a heat treatment to the obtained material , thereby to obtain a shoe for a compressor.

Method of manufacturing shoe for compressor

Compressor shoe is manufactured by cutting a wire into cut pieces each having a volume approximately equivalent to that of a desired shoe. The cut piece is sequentially forged with forging dies having three cavities. The cut piece is first forged to a cylindrical shape with a small rounded portion, then to a rugby ball shape, and then to a shape corresponding to a shoe shape. A finishing step, including heat treatment, is then carried out to obtain a compressor shoe.
