A method for manufacturing an electronic component including the steps of preparing a pair of substantially round conductive wires, bending one end portion of each of the pair of conductive wires outward at an angle of about 90 degrees, forming a flat portion on each of the pair of substantially round conductive wires by press extending at least the portion on the tip side from the bending point so as to be extended substantially parallel to a lead portion of the lead terminal, such that a thickness of the flat portion is less than a diameter of each of the pair of substantially round conductive wires, forming a cup-shaped holder portion by bending the flat portion inwards, holding both end portions of a piezoelectric element in a pair of the cup-shaped holder portions, and electrically and mechanically connecting the cup-shaped holder portions and the electrodes formed in both end portions of the piezoelectric element by using a conductive joining material.

Method for manufacturing an electronic component

A method of manufacturing a piezoelectric component includes forming an unhardened first elastic material partially on at least a pair of end portions of a piezoelectric element, the pair of end portions including an edge portion of the piezoelectric element, hardening the first elastic material, forming an unhardened second elastic material on the entire circumference of the piezoelectric element and the first elastic material, hardening the second elastic material, forming an unhardened outer-cladding resin on the entire circumference of the second elastic material covering the piezoelectric element and the first elastic material, and hardening the outer-cladding resin.

Method of manufacturing piezoelectric component

An apparatus for curing silicone rubber is constructed so as to perform a heating process and a curing process in a very short time without degradation of characteristics in piezoelectric elements so as to improve productivity. A piezoelectric component having uncured silicone rubber coated on the external peripheral surface thereof is held in a jig having a property of reflecting far infrared rays. The uncured silicone rubber coated on the external peripheral surface of the piezoelectric component is irradiated with far infrared rays by a far infrared panel heater so as to cure the silicone rubber.

Apparatus and method for curing silicone rubber

A piezoelectric component includes a substantially rectangular shaped piezoelectric element, a first elastic material covering at least a pair of end portions of the piezoelectric element, the pair of end portions including edge parts of the piezoelectric element, a second elastic material covering the entire piezoelectric element and the first elastic material, and an outer-cladding resin covering the whole circumference of the piezoelectric element which is covered with the second elastic material.
