A process and an apparatus for molding, in which a molten thermoplastic resin is firmly fitted onto a molding surface of a mold under a pressure lower than or equal to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 and is cured to obtain a molded product. The molding apparatus has a mold main body, and a mold body on which the molding surface is defined. The mold body is supported relative to the mold main body with maintaining a space on the back side of the molding surface in a heat insulative manner by a supporting member which includes at least a heat insulative supporting member having a thermal conductivity of 0.001 to 1 Kcal/mh .degree.C. and a longitudinal elastic modulus of 0.01 to 10 kg/cm.sup.2. In the space, a heating fluid for heating the molding surface from the bask side to a temperature higher than or equal to Vicat softening temperate (T) .degree.C. of the thermoplastic resin and a cooling fluid for cooling the molding surface from the back side to a temperature lower than or equal to (Vicat softening temperature (T) of the thermoplastic resin -10) .degree.C. are supplied.

The molding apparatus has a mold main body, and a mold body on which the molding surface is defined. C. of the thermoplastic resin and a cooling fluid for cooling the molding surface from the back side to a temperature lower than or equal to (Vicat softening temperature (T) of the thermoplastic resin-10).degree. C. are supplied.

Molding process utilizing a molding apparatus

A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising 99-1 parts by weight of (i) a hydrogenated diene polymer which is a hydrogenation product of a straight or branched chain block copolymer consisting of (C) a polybutadiene block segment having a 1,2-vinyl content of not more than 20% and (D) a block segment which is a polybutadiene or an alkenyl aromatic compound-butadiene copolymer, the butadiene portion of which has a 1,2-vinyl content of 25-95% and 1-99 parts by weight of (ii) at least one of a thermoplastic resin or a rubbery polymer.

Thermoplastic elastomer compositions and process for the preparation

A thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises 25-95% by weight of a polyamide and 75-5% by weight of a halogenated butyl rubber, a chlorosulfonated polyethylene or both thereof. Said composition is excellent in resistance to Freon gas permeation and has good oil resistance and low-temperature resistance. A hose wherein the layer to be contacted with a gas is made of the above thermoplastic elastomer composition is suitable as a Freon gas R-22 hose.
