A color photographic light-sensitive material for printing use comprising a reflection type support bearing thereon a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer; wherein a silver halide emulsion contained in said green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is a monodispersed silver halide emulsion and a coupler combined with said monodispersed silver halide emulsion is a magneta coupler represented by the following formula I ##STR1## wherein Z represents a group of non-metal atoms necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, and the ring formed by the Z is allowed to have substituents; X represents a substituent capable of splitting off through the reaction thereof on the oxidation products of a color developing agent; and R represents hydrogen or a substituent.

Color photographic light-sensitive material for printing use

Light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material, having at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support, wherein at least one of said emulsion layer contains light-sensitive silver halide grains having outer surfaces principally comprised of {100} face, and a magenta dye image forming coupler represented by Formula (I) shown below: ##STR1## wherein Z represents a group of nonmetal atom necessary for formation of a nitrogen-containing hetero ring; said ring formed by Z may have a substituent; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent eliminable by the reaction with an oxidant in a color developing agent; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent. which can porovide a light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material having high sensitivity, being low in fogs, and having improved color reproducibility.

Light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material

A reflective silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The light-sensitive material comprises a reflective support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer wherein the support have an oxygen permeability of not more than 2.0 ml/m.sup.2 .multidot.hr.multidot.atm and the silver halide emulsion layer contains a magenta coupler represented by the following Formula I; ##STR1## wherein Ar is an aryl group; Y is a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of splitting off upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; X is a halogen atom, an alkoxy group or an alkyl group; R is a strait- or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; J is a strait- or branched-chain alkylene group; and n is an integer of from 0 to 4, when n is 2 or more, the plurality of Xs may be the same or different. The light-sensitive material is excellent in red color reproducibility and light fastness of red colored images.

Silver halide photographic light sensitive material

A light-sensitive silver halide photographic material comprising a support and provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a pyrazolo azole magenta dye-forming coupler represented by general formula M-I; ##STR1## (wherein Z represents a group of non-metallic atoms necessary to complete a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being split off upon reaction with an oxidation product of a color developing agent; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent), to said silver halide emulsion layer an elementary sulfur having been added at an arbitrary timing before the formation of said silver halide emulsion layer on said support.

Silver halide light-sensitive photographic material

A silver halide photographic emulsion containing silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of not less than 90 mol % and a method for preparing thereof are disclosed, wherein the silver halide grains are obtained by forming said silver halide grains in the presence of a water-soluble iridium compound and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound capable of forming sparingly-soluble silver salt; and by controlling the addition of said iridium compound, whereby the photographic emulsion is improved in the dependence of gradation on exposure intensity.

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support bearing thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a dye-forming coupler and a compound represented by Formula [I] as defined in the specification. The light-sensitive material further comprises at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of not less than 90 mole percent and a compound represented by Formula [S] as defined in the specification. The presence of the compounds of Formula [I] and Formula [S] provide a material having a suitable contrast and having additional advantages such as excellent BF contamination resistance and pH variation resistance.

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing inorganic sulfur or elemental sulfur, and a processing method comprising a step for developing such photographic material with a color developer which contains an aromatic primary amine compound for not more than 60 seconds. Photographic image improved in contrast of the without degradation in sensitivity and fogging can be obtained by the photographic material and the processing method.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive material and processing

A light-sensitive silver halide photographic material having a support with at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a dye-forming coupler, where the light-sensitive silver halide photographic material is characterized in that at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains (i) the dye-forming coupler dispersed with the use of a high boiling organic solvent having a dielectric constant of 6.0 or less, (ii) silver halide grains containing a gold compound and having silver chloride content of 90 mole % or more, and (iii) a compound represented by General Formula (S) shown below. General Formula (S): ##STR1## where Q is a group of atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring or a 5- or 6-membered ring fused with a benzene ring and M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or an ammonium group. The light-sensitive material can achieve excellent preservation of the dye image, is feasible for rapid processing, has superior BF contamination resistance and pH variation resistance.

In a method of preparing a light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion, silver salt and halide are mixed in the presence of an iridium compound. The emulsion is then chemically ripened by an instable sulfur compound and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound capable of forming a complex with silver.

The above-described silver halide photographic material is processed with a color developing solution containing a sulfite ion in a quantity of 2.times.10.sup.-4 to 1.times.10.sup.-2 moles per liter, this developing solution being substantially free of bromide ion. The above-described material and process for developing the same, being better suited for use in rapid developing processes.

Method of forming dye image having superior rapid processing performance

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material which is improved on fog without decreasing photosensitivity. The photographic material comprises a support and a photographic structural layer provided thereon containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one non-light-sensitive layer. A nitrogen-containing heterocyclic mercapto compound is contained at least two layers of the photographic structure layer, and at least one of these mercapto compound-containing layer is a non-light-sensitive layer.

A silver halide photographic emulsion is disclosed. The emulsion has silver halide grains that consist essentially of silver chlorobromide and which have been sulfur-sensitized in the presence of a silver halide solvent.
