An electro-pressure conversion control device comprising a fluid passage formed in a device body, which fluid passage includes a fluid inlet at one end, a throttle, a jetting hole at the other end, and a control pressure taking port provided between said throttle and said jetting hole and a plate which is driven by an electrical actuator in such a manner as to go across the axis of the jetting hole thereby to open and close the jetting hole whereby the jetting hole operates as a variable throttle. The plate is displaced in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the jetting hole by the electrical actuator to control the degree of opening of the jetting hole thereby to control the pressure in the fluid passage between the throttle and the jetting point so as to provide a pressure which varies according to an electrical signal applied to the electrical actuator.

Electro-pressure conversion control device

A method and device for forming mixture gas for a direct fuel injection type internal combustion engine, which has a piston with a recess forming a combustion space, air intake means with swirling means for switching intake air to be supplied into the combustion chamber, and an intermittent swirl injector nozzle having at least one tangential passage for swirling fuel supplied through fuel supplying means to the combustion chamber, to jet the fuel in conical form to the swirling intake air, to form a mixture gas, and which comprises the steps of supplying swirling intake air into the combustion space, the swirling intake air having a swirl speed in conformance to the speed of the internal combustion engine, and spraying fuel from the swirl injection nozzle onto the swirling intake air in the combustion space at a fuel spray angle varied in response to the engine speed, thereby controlling the spray travel distance of the fuel and allowing the fuel to float in the combustion space without being stuck onto a wall of the combustion space under a wide range of operating conditions of the engine.

Method and device for forming mixture gas in direct injection type

An intermittent swirl type injection valve having a spray angle, capacity coefficient and fuel spray travel distance set so that the valve produces optimum engine operating conditions, with the spray angle, capacity coefficient and fuel spray travel distances being determined taking into account the gap area A.sub.c, the spray hole diameter d.sub.e, and the area A.sub.g of tangential passages in the valve. The injection valve includes a valve body and a valve needle slidably fitted in a valve hole formed in the valve body. A spray hole in the valve body merges with a valve seat provided at an end of the valve hole, and the spray hole is shaped to receive the lower end of the valve needle. Tangential passages swirl the fuel when the needle valve leaves the valve seat to open the valve to spray fuel substantially conically through the spray hole. Disclosed is a sensor for detecting flow quantity of fuel supplied to a fuel injection system based on an idea that the flow quantity of fuel supplied to a fuel injection system is detected by means of detection of a displacement of a spill-ring. This sensor is provided with a detection member connected with a spill-ring of a fuel injection system, a coil assembly consisting of a coil for detecting the displacement of the spill-ring which is fitted to one end of a bobbin which is arranged to face with the detection member but not to contact the detection member, the one end of the bobbin being arranged to face with the detection member, and a coil for temperature compensation, the two coils being arranged side by side along the bobbin with a predetermined space therebetween, and a member for holding the coil assembly and for fitting the coil assembly to the fuel injection system.
