To provide a turbo compressor rotatable at high speed that is capable of being downsized, and of being suppressed in performance deterioration at low speed rotation. A turbo compressor includes a housing, a rotating shaft, a motor, a compressor mechanism, and a support section. The support section includes at least three rollers on the rotating shaft, roller shaft portions on the rollers, and a roller bearing portion for supporting the roller shaft portions. The rollers and the rotating shaft respectively have a drive transmission portion for drive transmission from the rotating shaft to each of the rollers, and the drive transmission portion of the rollers has a diameter larger than a diameter of the drive transmission portion of the rotating shaft.

Turbo compressor

An accommodating recess (A,B) has a magnet accommodating portion (A,B) for accommodating a permanent magnet (A,B) and a cavity (A,B), which is located at the q-axis side of the magnet accommodating portion. The cavity opens through a rotor outer circumferential surface (). A starting point (PaPb) of an outer cavity forming surface (A,B) is located on the rotor outer circumferential surface. The outer cavity forming surface intersects either a magnetic pole surface or an imaginary extended plane (A,B) of a magnetic pole facing surface (A,B). The rotor outer circumferential surface () includes portions of an imaginary annular line (E). A starting point (PaPb) of the outer cavity forming surface (A,B) is located between the d-axis and an intersection point (Qa, Qb) between the imaginary annular line and the imaginary extended plan of the magnetic pole facing surface.

An electric pump for supplying a hydrogen gas to a fuel cell includes a rotary shaft rotatably inserted through an electric motor, a transmitting member provided on one of an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the electric motor so as to be rotatable therewith, and a groove formed in the other of the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the electric motor for the transmitting member to be inserted therein. The groove transmits a rotary torque of the electric motor to the rotary shaft by contacting an inner surface of the groove and the transmitting member and has an opening width along a rotary direction of the rotary shaft which is larger than the width of the transmitting member. The groove and the transmitting member produce an impact torque when the electric pump is started.

Electric pump for hydrogen circulation

A starting system for a pump includes a driving motor, an electric source, a selector switch, a starter sensor, a temperature sensor and a control unit. The selector switch is located between the driving motor and the electric source for reversing polarity of the electric power supplied from the electric source to the driving motor. The starter sensor senses whether or not the driving motor has been started. The temperature sensor senses a temperature. The control unit operates the selector switch so as to repeatedly give the driving motor indications of reverse rotation and normal rotation in a case where the starter sensor does not sense that the driving motor has been started even if the control unit operates the selector switch so as to give the driving motor the indication of normal rotation in a state where the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is below a preset temperature.
