A METHOD FOR DETECTING MICROORGANISMS

A manufacturing method of an operation pipe, which use a gel to perform operations such as separation, extraction, purification, elution, recovery, analysis and the like of target components that are biological components such as nucleic acids. More specifically, a manufacturing method of an operation pipe, with which it is possible to perform operations such as separation, extraction, purification, elution, recovery, analysis and the like of target components in a sealable pipe by operating magnetic particles in the pipe under a magnetic field from outside of the pipe.

A magnetic particle manipulating apparatus includes a magnetic force source moving mechanism, an operation controller configured to control operation of the magnetic source moving mechanism, an openable cover for covering the device holder, a pressing mechanism provided on the cover to press the tubular device held by the device holder when the cover is closed so that warpage of the tubular device is corrected, an open/close state detector provided so as to detect an open/close state of the cover. The operation controller is configured to execute the processing operation only in a case where the open/close state detector detects that the cover is closed.

A purpose of the present invention is to suppress reduction in recovery rate of a target component due to a gel adhering to an inner wall surface of a treatment liquid layer. After passing magnetic particles through a gel layer, when moving the magnetic particles in the treatment liquid layer adjacent to the gel layer, the magnetic force source is automatically operated in a longitudinal direction of a tubular container so that the magnetic particles do not enter a range of a certain distance from the gel layer through which the magnetic particles have passed.

A dispensing tip holder is used when a dispensing tip is attached to a tip of a pipette, and includes a peripheral wall having a shape surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the dispensing tip, and an insertion portion having an insertion opening into which the dispensing tip is to be inserted. The peripheral wall has a first end into which the dispensing tip is to be inserted, and has a second end provided at a position opposite to the first end. The insertion portion is formed in the peripheral wall such that an outer peripheral surface of the dispensing tip abuts against an edge of the insertion opening, and is formed in the peripheral wall such that a tip of the dispensing tip does not project from the second end of the peripheral wall, when the dispensing tip is inserted into the insertion opening from the first end.

A preprocessing apparatus uses preprocessing kits prepared for samples, respectively, sets the preprocessing kits in plural processing ports provided so as to correspond to preprocessing items, and executes a predetermined preprocessing item. A controller which controls operations of a carrying mechanism holding and carrying the preprocessing kits, and processing parts executing the preprocessing items in the respective processing ports, includes a processing-state control part, a random access part, and a preprocessing part. The random access part is configured to check availability of a preprocessing port corresponding to a preprocessing item to be executed on a sample contained in a preprocessing kit, and set the preprocessing kit in a processing port if the processing port is available as a processing port corresponding to the preprocessing item. The preprocessing part executes a corresponding preprocessing item on a sample in a preprocessing kit when the preprocessing kit is set in the processing port.

Disclosed herein is a reagent preparation supporting device including: reagent kit information storing means that stores amounts of reagents required for one analysis and a composition of a reaction liquid to be prepared; an input unit that inputs the number of samples to be analyzed; reagent amount calculating means that calls up, from the reagent kit information storing means, the data regarding the reagent kit to calculate required amounts of the reagents included in the reagent kit and a composition of the reaction liquid according to the number of samples inputted through the input unit; and a display unit that displays, as a reagent preparation table, the required amounts of the reagents included in the reagent kit and the composition of the reaction liquid to be prepared based on results calculated by the reagent amount calculating means.

A stool collection container includes: a stool collection container main body having a structure in which a stick holder for holding a stool collection stick is detachably mounted on one end side while the stool collection part and the stool collection stick are housed inside; and a collection needle penetrating through a wall surface of the another end side of the stool collection container main body so that a tip thereof is inserted into the stool collection container main body, the collection needle being provided so as to be detachable from the stool collection container main body. When the stick holder is mounted on one end side of the stool collection container main body, the tip of the collection needle is inserted into the opening of the stool collection part housed inside the stool collection container main body.

A DNA amplification method including: subjecting a blood sample having DNA to be amplified, to a pretreatment using an alkaline aqueous solution under ordinary temperature, so as to extract double-stranded DNA from the blood sample and dissociate the double-stranded DNA into a single-stranded DNA to obtain a blood-derived sample including the single-stranded DNA; preparing an isothermal amplification reaction solution comprising a mixture of the blood-derived sample, a primer, dNTP, a strand-displacing DNA polymerase, a magnesium salt and a buffer, to establish an isothermal amplification reaction system meeting optimum conditions for the strand-displacing DNA polymerase; and amplifying DNA in the isothermal amplification reaction system using the single-stranded DNA as a template.

Method for amplification of DNA from blood sample and DNA amplification kit therefor

The present invention provides a simple cell-free protein synthesis method capable of affording synthesis of a protein in a high amount in a short time at a low cost. A method for cell-free protein synthesis using an extract derived from an insect cell, the method comprising removing a component which can pass through a semipermeable membrane through the semipermeable membrane while maintaining synthesis reaction, thereby to continuously synthesize a protein. Preferably, an mRNA is additionally supplied while said synthesis reaction is maintained. Further, said insect cell is preferably an established culture cell derived fromovum cell.
