Provided is a motor control device that includes a controller outputting a PWM control signal for controlling a multiphase electric motor, a driving signal generator generating a switching element driving signal for driving the multiphase electric motor according to the PWM control signal output from the controller, and a bridge circuit configured of a plurality of semiconductor switching elements switching a current flowing through the multiphase electric motor according to the switching element driving signal generated by the driving signal generator. The controller is provided on a first board. The driving signal generator and the bridge circuit are provided on a second board and are connected by wiring provided on the second board. The first board and the second board are connected by a predetermined inter-board connecting line. The controller outputs the PWM control signal to the driving signal generator through the predetermined inter-board connecting line.

Motor control device

A motor control apparatus has an inverter circuit having a plurality of pairs of upper and lower arms provided so as to correspond to the number of phases, and switching elements provided on each of the upper arms and the lower arms of each phase that drive a motor on the basis of ON or OFF operations of the respective switching elements, a single current detector that detects a current of the motor flowing through the inverter circuit, and a duty calculator that calculates duties of a PWM signals for turning the switching elements ON or OFF on the basis of a deviation between a current value of the current detected by the current detector and a target current value.

Motor control apparatus

A motor control device has a motor driving circuit for driving a motor, a current detection circuit for detecting a motor current flowing through the motor driving circuit, and a controller for calculating a detected value of the motor current based on an output of the current detection circuit, comparing the detected value with a target value of the motor current, and generating a command value for allowing a motor current of the target value to flow through the motor based on a deviation therebetween, to output the command value to a motor driving circuit. The current detection circuit is configured of a first current detection circuit having a positive first gain and a second current detection circuit having a negative second gain obtained by inverting the first gain.

A motor drive device has an inverter circuit, in which at least three sets of a pair of upper and lower arms including a semiconductor switching element on an upper arm and a lower arm is arranged, for supplying voltage to a motor based on ON/OFF operation of each semiconductor switching element by a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal, an inverter drive unit for outputting the PWM signal to each semiconductor switching element of the inverter circuit, a fail safe circuit, arranged between the inverter circuit and the motor, including a semiconductor switching element for shielding the voltage supply from the inverter circuit to the motor for each phase, and a fail safe drive unit for outputting a signal for turning ON/OFF the semiconductor switching element of the fail safe circuit.

Motor drive device

A controller of a multi-phase electric motor has a drive section having an upper arm switching element and a lower arm switching element for driving the multi-phase electric motor, a single current detection section for detecting a current value of the multi-phase electric motor, a pulse width modulation signal generation section for generating plural pulse width modulation of each phase within one control period based on the current value detected by the current detection section and a carrier signal, and a phase movement section for moving the pulse width modulation signal of a predetermined phase generated by the pulse width modulation signal generation section by gradually changing a movement amount of the phase in one control period, and outputting the resultant pulse width modulation signal to the drive section.

Controller of multi-phase electric motor

A controller of a multi-phase electric motor includes a drive section for driving the multi-phase electric motor; a single current detection section for detecting a current value of the multi-phase electric motor; a PWM signal generation section for generating plural PWM signals of each phase within one control period based on the current value detected by the current detection section and a carrier signal; and a phase movement section for moving a phase by a predetermined amount such that frequency in change of the PWM signal of the predetermined phase generated by the PWM signal generation section is included in a non-audible range, and outputting the PWM signal which phase is moved to the drive section; wherein the phase movement section moves the phase by a predetermined amount for all the PWM signals of the predetermined phase within one control period.

A controller of a multi-phase electric motor includes a drive section for driving the multi-phase electric motor, a single current detection section for detecting a current value of the multi-phase electric motor, a pulse width modulation signal (PWM) generation section for generating a PWM signal of each phase based on the current value detected by the current detection section and a saw-tooth signal having a predetermined frequency, a current detectability determination section for determining whether or not the current value is detectable in the current detection section based on the PWM signal of each phase generated by the PWM signal generation section, and a switching number determination section for determining whether or not conducting number of the upper arm switching element is an even number or an odd number based on the determination that the current is not detectable by the current detectability determination section.

An electric power steering control apparatus for controlling a motor that provides an assisting force for steering a steering wheel has a command value calculation device operable to calculate a command value for a torque current to be fed to the motor based on a steering torque of the steering wheel, a magnetic field control device operable to control intensity of a magnetic field in the motor, and a motor drive device operable to drive the motor based on outputs from the command value calculation device and the magnetic field control device. The magnetic field control device is operable to perform a field weakening control for weakening the magnetic field in the motor when a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined value, and to not perform the field weakening control when the vehicle speed is not less than the predetermined value.
