An absolute position measuring apparatus includes a first rotary encoder that detects a rotation of a spindle as a phase signal which varies in a first cycle and a second rotary encoder that detects the rotation of the spindle as another phase signal which varies in a second cycle. A rotation of a first rotor of the first rotary encoder is transmitted to a second rotor via a relay gear that is meshed with a first gear provided on an outer circumference of a first rotary cylinder and a second gear provided on an outer circumference of a second rotary cylinder. Thus, an absolute position of the spindle is calculated on the basis of two phase signals that are different in cycle. Further, it is not necessary to provide a conventionally-known spiral key groove so that the apparatus can be easily downsized. Manufacturing costs can be also reduced.

Absolute position measuring apparatus

A caliper gauge () includes a feeding mechanism () that moves a slider () along a main scale (), in which the feeding mechanism () includes: an outer roller (); an inner roller () provided in a manner rotatable around a rotary axis of the outer roller () to be in contact with the main scale (); and a constant-pressure unit () that transmits the rotation of the outer roller () to the inner roller () and allows free rotation of the outer roller () relative to the inner roller () when more than a predetermined load is applied on the inner roller (), the constant-pressure unit () including: saw-toothed projections provided on an inner circumference of the outer roller (); and a plate spring fixed on an outer circumference of the inner roller () at a midsection thereof and contacted with the saw-toothed projections of the outer roller () on both ends thereof.

Caliper gauge

A bus power device includes a connector that is connected to a port of a host apparatus compliant with a predetermined interface standard; a current/voltage detecting unit that detects a current/voltage supplied from the host apparatus to a bus power line via the port and the connector; and a power assisting unit that assists a current to the bus power line based on a result of comparison between the current detected by the current/voltage detecting unit and a threshold current, and assists a voltage to the bus power line by an amount of shortfalls in the voltage based on a result of comparison between the voltage detected by the current/voltage detecting unit and a threshold voltage.

Bus power device and power-source control method

A measuring tool has a slider () supported to a body frame () and a feeding mechanism () for moving the slider in axial direction. The feeding mechanism includes: an outer roller () rotatably supported to the body frame (); a forward feed roller () disposed between the outer roller () and the slider () at a position closer to a forward side of the slider () relative to the outer roller (); a reverse feed roller () disposed at a position on a reverse side; a roller holder () supporting these feed rollers to allow them to move along the circumference around the axis of the outer roller; a first leaf spring () that biases these feed rollers toward the slider side; and a power transmitter () connecting the outer roller () to these feed rollers to transmit the rotation of the outer roller to the feed rollers.

Measuring tool

Provided is a measuring devicefor measuring the size of an object comprising a body, and a spindlewhich is screwed into the bodyand axially advances and retracts by screwing with respect to the body, the measurement being based on the axial displacement of the spindleeffected by the revolution of the spindle, wherein the spindle is screwed into the bodyvia a multiple-start thread. Therefore, it is possible to displace the spindleat a high speed, which improves the operability of the measuring device.

A rotary movement converting mechanism for converting a rotary movement of a rotary body () into a linear movement of a movable body () has a support body () fixed to a body frame () and provided with a slit (A) along an axial direction of the rotary body (), a spiral groove (A) formed on the inner circumference of the rotary body (), and a top member () provided on the movable body (). The top member () has an engaging member (A) inserted through the slit (A) and having a tip end engaged with the spiral groove (A), and a stop member (C) for stopping the linear movement of the movable body () when a load is applied on the linear movement of the movable body (). Accordingly, when a load is applied on the linear movement of the movable body (), the linear movement is stopped and the minute displacement of the movable body () is restrained, thereby enhancing the stability of a measuring instrument in measuring a workpiece.

Rotary movement converting mechanism and measuring instrument

An output-attached measuring instrument has: a measuring instrument body ( ) having a circuit board ( ) for processing a measurement signal from a sensor as a measurement data, an output electrode ( ) for outputting the measurement data, and a connector hole ( ) in communication with the output electrode and opening to an outer surface; and a connection cable ( ) having a connector ( ) capable of attaching to and detaching from the connector hole on an end thereof for transmitting the measurement data obtained by the measuring instrument body to an external device, the connector having a projection ( ) capable of being plugged to and unplugged from the connector hole and a connector terminal ( ) exposed on a surface thereof, where an elastic connector ( ) having am electro-conductive portion for electrically connecting the connector terminal and the output electrode is accommodated in a space of the connector hole of the measuring instrument body and the elastic connector shuts the connector hole when the projection is unplugged from the connector hole and electrically connects the connector terminal and the output electrode through the electro-conductive portion when the projection is plugged into the connector hole.

Output-attached measuring instrument

An induction type transducer is formed at a substrate of a grid assembly which is disposed so as to be opposed to a scale. The surface of the substrate opposed to the scale is made flat, and even if a liquid enters from a gap between the grid and the scale, permeation of the liquid into the substrate is prevented.

Induction type transducer and electronic caliper

A micrometer includes: a main body having an anvil at one end thereof, a spindle having a screwed portion engaging an opposite end of the main body and being displaceable in an axial direction and with respect to the anvil in conjunction with rotation of the spindle, and an encoder detecting an axial displacement amount of the spindle from a rotation amount of the spindle, so that a measurement value based on an output signal of the encoder is digitally displayed. The micrometer includes a thimble provided on the opposite end of the main body and the thimble is rotatable about the axis of the spindle at a predetermined position in the axial direction of the spindle. The thimble is formed with a guide groove parallel with the axial direction of the spindle in an inner peripheral surface thereof. The spindle includes an engagement pin located in the spindle and slidably engaging with the guide groove of the thimble.

Micrometer

A dial gauge with a simplified structure and reductions in number of parts and production costs. In the dial gauge having a case 10 which is composed of a case body 11, a front case member 21 provided on the front of the case body 11, and a rear case member 31 provided on the rear of the case body 11, the case body 11 and the front case member 21 are combinedly formed by using plastic materials. The rear case member 31 includes a rear cover and a reinforcing plate covering the rear of the case body 11.

Dial gauge

A rotatable rotor 41 and a stator 51 located at a predetermined gap between outer circumferential face of the rotor 41 provided with half-cylindrical inner circumferential face are provided. The both ends of the outer circumferential face of the rotor 41 are provided with a step portion 44 to retain a predetermined gap between the opposing faces of the rotor 41 and the stator 51, and a stopper portion 45 to be abutted to both end faces of the stator in the axial direction. A forcing means 61(plate spring) are also provided to force the stator 51 to the rotor 41 so that the inner circumferential face of the stator is abutted at the step portion 44.

Capacitance-type displacement measuring device

A main scale graduation, an auxiliary scale graduation or the like provided in a conventional micrometer is omitted, and a thimble 71 is provided at a regular position in the axial direction of the spindle 61 through a sleeve 51 in a frame 1 to rotate about the axis of a spindle 61. Between the thimble 71 and the spindle 61, a rotation transfer means 81 for transferring the rotation of the thimble 71 to the spindle 61 and allowing the spindle 61 to displace in the axial direction of the spindle 61. As the rotation transfer means 81, a ratchet system 82 is used.

A back-plunger type displacement detecting apparatus is provided having a thinner case. The back-plunger type displacement detecting apparatus has a spindle secured to the case to extend perpendicular to the display surface of a digital display unit. A movable member is secured to the case and extends perpendicular to the direction of movement of the spindle. A converting mechanism converts the displacement of the spindle into displacement of the movable member. An electrical unit detects the displacement of the movable member and displays the detected value on the digital display unit.

Displacement detecting apparatus

A digital display micrometer gauge holds a workpiece to be measured between an anvil and a spindle. An engagement member is provided at an end of the spindle. An inner sleeve having an axial slit into which the engagement member is inserted, is secured to a U-shaped main frame, and an outer sleeve having a spiral groove, which is formed in the inner peripheral section thereof, is provided on the outer periphery of the inner sleeve to be circumferentially rotatable. By rotating this outer sleeve, the spindle can be driven at high speed. A main scale constituting a linear encoder is attached to a side surface of the spindle extending along the axis of the spindle, whereby the displacement amount of the spindle can be detected with high accuracy. A slide member slidable on the inner surface of the inner sleeve is provided at the end of the spindle where the engagement member is provided, and the spindle can be inserted into the inner sleeve together with the main scale attached thereto.

Digital display micrometer gauge

A head exchange system for a disc drive system for controlling the position of a head so as to cancel, during a head exchange, the previously measured offset value between the head and a track of a recording disc. The head exchange system has a head exchanger for selecting one of a plurality of heads in response to a signal from the host controller for storage of the information to the selected track of the disc. The head exchange system also has a busy signal transmitting unit for transmitting, when changing the selected head, a busy signal to the host controller for a predetermined time when a difference between the offset value for a current selected head and the offset value for a next selected head is bigger than a predetermined value. The busy signal transmitting unit has a busy table for storing a plurality of flag information between each head and the other heads and transmits a busy signal to the host controller when the difference between the offset value for the current selected head and the offset value for the next selected head is bigger than the predetermined value.
