An illuminating device may include an optical guiding body configured to dispose linear optical guiding members side by side, the linear optical guiding members guiding light incident from one end side in a longitudinal direction to another end side. The illuminating device may also include optical sources to emit light toward corresponding linear optical guiding members. The optical guiding body may include first and second optical guiding members adjacent in a width direction. A luminance distribution of the light in the longitudinal direction emitted from the first optical guiding member becomes darker, and that emitted from the second optical guiding member becomes brighter, according to being closer to the other end side from the one end side. The illuminating device may further include a control unit configured to light up the optical sources of the first and second optical guiding members in order and thereafter, light them out in order.

Illuminating device with multiple optical guiding bodies having different luminance distributions

An illuminating device may include optical sources, a diffusion plate having emission regions corresponding to the optical sources, and a control unit configured to control lighting-up/lighting-out and an emission intensity of the optical sources based upon a schedule when carrying out performance on an optical travel by the diffusion plate. The emission regions each may have a predetermined length and extend in a longitudinal direction of the diffusion plate. In the schedule, a light-up/light-out state of each optical source and an emission intensity of an optical source to be lit up are set based upon an average illuminance in an illuminance distribution of the diffusion plate by combining illuminances of lights emitted from the emission regions. For realizing a temporal change of the average illuminance set, the light-up/light-out state of each optical source and emission intensity of the optical source to be lit up in each time point are set.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a time management apparatus and a time management method for reducing the opportunity for a third party to intentionally tamper with time. An image storing and processing device is provided in which image information is efficiently stored of an event that may unpredictably happen at any time, and in which retrieval thereof is facilitated and further storage capacity is sharply improved. An analog video signal inputted from an external pick-up device,is converted to a digital video signal with an A/D conversion part,, which digital video signal is then compressed in an image data compression part,, and the resulting compression data is stored in a memory part,. The stored image compression data is transferred to an image data expansion part,and is selected and expanded, and resulting image expansion data is converted to an analog signal in a D/A conversion part,and is then sent to a television monitor,for display thereof. A trigger signal input part,receives a trigger signal generated in response to the foregoing event happening, and a control part,controls the operation to compress and store only a necessary image, whereby the necessary image is selected and displayed on a television monitor,. Only the necessary image is stored and is converted to compressed data in such a manner to improve storage efficiency.

A multi-direction camera comprising a mirror 3 having a plurality of reflecting surfaces 31 and 32 disposed in front of a lens 4. The lens 4 receives light reflected from the mirror 3 from a plurality of directions and forms an image by the image sensor 7. The mirror 3 can be moved linearly by an actuator 8. The arrangement of the mirror 3 and lens 4 allows the camera to image road conditions of multiple directions at the same time. The camera can also image a road condition in a single direction with a wider scope manually or automatically when the road condition in that direction needs to be confirmed preponderantly.

A virtual machine system having a virtual storage function, wherein registers are provided for holding the heading and trailing addresses of the continuous area in the main storage area assigned respectively for each of the plural operating systems. When the main storage area is accessed by a channel or sub-channel, one of the registers is selected, and the heading address of the register selected is added to the main storage address sent from the channel or sub-channel. The added main storage address is compared with the trailing address in the selected register and if the former is smaller than the latter, the overhead for supporting the virtual storage area is reduced by accessing the main storage area in accordance with the added main storage address mentioned above.

The subchannel memory comprises unit control word memory domains corresponding on a one-to-one basis to the input/output devices of the first group; a pool of unit control word memory domains for use by each operational input/output device connected to an input/output control unit of the second group, to be unshared and dedicated to its respective input/output device; unit control word memory domains of the third group corresponding on a one-to-one basis to each of the input/output control units of the third group, each unit control word memory domain to be shared or utilized in common by the plurality of input/output devices controlled by its respective input/output control unit of the third group; and an assign table memory domain for storing address information to access the respective unit control word memory domains of the second and third groups.
