A write preference determination unit (A) compares a reception rate of packets received from the lines of a first network (NW) with a reception rate threshold for write preference determination, and in a case where the reception rate exceeds the reception rate threshold, determines that preference of a write operation is necessary. A write preference control unit (B) increases, out of a total access bandwidth of a packet buffer (BUF), a write bandwidth for a packet write operation to the packet buffer (BUF) as compared to a read bandwidth for a packet read operation from the packet buffer (BUF) in a case where the write preference determination unit (A) determines that the preference is necessary, thereby preferentially executing the packet write operation to the packet buffer. This suppresses occurrence of linked discard of reception packets caused by a shortage of the write bandwidth.

In a micromachine according to this invention, a polyimide film is formed on the surface of each electrode. The polyimide film is formed as follows. A substrate having each electrode and a counterelectrode are dipped in an electrodeposition polyimide solution, and a positive voltage is applied to the electrode. A material dissolved in the electrodeposition polyimide solution is deposited on a surface of the positive-voltage-applied electrode that is exposed in the solution, thus forming a polyimide film on the surface.

An optical switch device includes at least an optical switch element and driving control circuit. In the optical switch element, a fixed electrode portion is arranged, via a dielectric layer, on a semiconductor substrate on which an integrated circuit is formed. A mirror structure has a plate-shaped movable portion arranged above the fixed electrode portion while opposing the fixed electrode portion. A reflecting portion is formed at least at part of the movable portion to reflect light. A support member is fixed around the fixed electrode portion on the semiconductor substrate via a dielectric layer and supports the mirror structure. The driving control circuit is incorporated in the integrated circuit to drive the optical switch element by applying a predetermined potential to the movable portion and fixed electrode portion.

The present invention discloses a method for randomizing a microprocessor system, such as an IC card, in order to prevent the microprocessor system from being tampered with. The method ensures that the randomized microprocessor system realizes a functionality equivalent to that of an original microprocessor system and enables easy modification of a configuration of the microprocessor system. In the context of this disclosure, to randomize a microprocessor system means to randomize a microprocessor and a program included in the microprocessor system while maintaining an equivalence of functionality realized by the microprocessor system regardless of this randomization. According to the present invention, the method for randomizing a microprocessor system performing a given functionality consists in (a) randomizing items stored in a memory in accordance with randomizing information, and (b) randomizing a microprocessor so as to allow the microprocessor to have an access to the randomized items stored in the memory. Thus, a randomized microprocessor system performing a functionality equivalent to the given functionality is generated.
