A column mainly comprises a tube, a plug, a first filter, a second filter, a stopper, and a connector. The tube mainly comprises a bottomed cylindrical storage part, and a cylindrical bottom-side connection part connected to a bottom of the storage part. The storage part and the bottom-side connection part are coaxially provided. The plug mainly comprises an outer pipe coaxially provided, and an inner pipe provided on an inner side of the outer pipe. The first filter and the second filter each are such a filter as not to enable the filler to pass. The stopper mainly comprises a stopper gripping part, and a stopper insertion part. The connector mainly comprises a connector gripping part and a connector insertion part.

The vise comprises a column supporter configured to be able to support a part of the column for chromatography, a main body configured to be connected to the column supporter and extending from the column supporter by a predetermined distance, and a column presser configured to be supported at another end of the main body opposite to one end to which the column supporter is connected, and configured to be movable toward and away from the column supporter, and configured to be able to press the plug against the column tube.

A means for selectively removing ET under coexistence of a substance showing a negative charge, such as nucleic acid is described. Endotoxin is selectively removed by bringing a polymer obtained by crosslinking cyclodextrin with an isocyanate-based crosslinking agent in contact with a solution containing endotoxin and the substance showing the negative charge such as nucleic acid.

The present invention provides a porous cellulose gel having a high mechanical strength capable of being operated at a higher flow rate, and a method for producing the same. To a suspension liquid of cellulose particles, a crosslinking agent in an amount of from 4 to 12 times the amount of the cellulose monomer in terms of moles and an alkali in an amount of from 0.1 to 1.5 times the amount of the crosslinking agent in terms of moles are added continuously dropwise or added dividedly over a prescribed period of time, whereby flow rate characteristics of a resulting porous cellulose gel can be enhanced. According to the invention, the production efficiency of a polymer substance, such as a nucleic acid and a protein can be enhanced.

A hemostatic material as a high-performance medical material is described, which is capable of stopping bleeding in short time and is easy to handle and produce. The present invention provides a chromatography packing material having improved flow rate characteristics and adsorption characteristics. In particular, the present invention provides a chromatography packing material suitable for separation and purification of immunoglobulin in the manufacture of antibody preparations. A porous cellulose gel, which is made by adding polysaccharides having a limiting viscosity of 0.21 to 0.90 dL/g to porous cellulose particles, the dry weight per unit volume of the porous cellulose gel being 1.06 to 1.40 times the dry weight per unit volume of the porous cellulose particles, is used. By adding a predetermined amount of polysaccharides having a predetermined limiting viscosity to porous cellulose particles, flow rate characteristics and adsorption characteristics can be improved.
