According to one embodiment, a genre classification unit is provided to classify a plurality of programs based on genres with reference to program information. Further, a day classification unit is provided to classify the classified programs based on broadcast days. A display form controller sorts program information description cells of the programs classified based on days into display areas based on days on a display device.
