A pair of middle cowls is arranged at positions rightward and leftward of a vehicle component located at a position forward of an engine. Part of the right middle cowl is arranged at a position further forward than an air cleaner case. A space in the air cleaner case is divided by a filter element into a first space positioned at a position further downstream than the filter element and a second space positioned at a position further upstream than the filter element. The second space is smaller than the first space. The second space and a third space inward of the right middle cowl communicate with each other by a communicating portion. The second space, at least part of the third space, and an internal space of the communicating portion constitute a dirty side chamber of an air cleaner.

Straddled vehicle

A straddle-type vehicle (e.g., a motorcycle) includes an electrical component accommodating section to protect one or more electrical components from heat generated by an engine, even when the vehicle is stopped. The vehicle includes a head pipe, at least one tank rail extending rearward from the head pipe, and at least one down pipe extending downward from the head pipe. A first joint portion is defined between the head pipe and the tank rail, and a second joint portion is defined between the head pipe and the down pipe. An engine is disposed generally between the tank rail and the head pipe. The electrical component accommodating section houses at least one electrical component and is defined generally between the first and second joint portions. In a preferred mode, at least a portion of the electrical component accommodating section is made of heat insulating material to shield the electrical component from heat generated by the engine.

Straddle type vehicle

A straddle-type vehicle with a radiator having heightened support stiffness. An engine bracket extends vertically and has an upper portion mounted to a front end of a body frame and a lower portion suspending a front wall of an engine. The radiator includes an upper radiator arranged along a front surface of and mounted to the engine bracket, and a lower radiator.

A main pipe of a motorcycle is enhanced in stiffness to stably support an engine. The main pipe includes an intermediate pipe extending above the engine in a longitudinal and substantially horizontal direction, a front pipe extending forwardly downwardly of the engine from a front end of the intermediate pipe, and a rear pipe extending rearwardly downwardly of the engine from a rear end of the intermediate pipe. The rear pipe is curved arcuately in a manner to go around a pivot shaft forwardly downward from a rear side thereof and the engine is connected to a lower end side of the rear pipe.
