In a status detector for a power supply, a power supply, and an initial characteristic extracting device for use with the power supply, a measuring unit obtains measured values of at least current, voltage and temperature of the electricity accumulating unit. A processing unit executes status detection of the electricity accumulating unit by using the measured values and the characteristic information of the electricity accumulating unit which is stored in a memory unit. A discrepancy detecting unit detects the presence of a discrepancy away from a theoretical value when a result of the status detection is changed over a predetermined threshold or reversed with respect to the measured values. A modifying unit modifies the characteristic information depending on the detected discrepancy.

A battery management system which can output a battery state enabling optimum charge and discharge control to be performed even when a temperature variation occurs among individual single cells. A maximum/minimum temperature selection unit in a calculation unit determines a maximum temperature and a minimum temperature from the temperature values measured by the temperature sensors. An available power calculation unit calculates respective values of maximum available charge and discharge powers or maximum available charge and discharge currents of the battery corresponding to the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature based on the voltage and the current of the battery. A storage battery managing apparatus which ensures charge-discharge control of a storage battery in consideration of state variation of each unit cell even if the battery pack includes a number of component unit cells, and a vehicle controlling apparatus providing the same. A storage battery includes a plurality of chargeable-dischargeable unit cells connected in which battery management ICs detect the cell voltage of each unit cell, a voltage sensor detects a storage battery voltage and a current sensor detects currents to be charged and discharged in the storage battery. In order to provide a resin sealed electronic device which is capable of securing high reliability by packaging with a transfer molding resin without using any under filler material, a resin sealed electronic device mounts a flip chip type monolithic IC on a hybrid circuit board through bumps and is packaged with a thermosetting resin through transfer molding. The transfer molding resin has a linear expansion coefficient of 3&times;10,to 17&times;10,and contains a filler having a particle size smaller than a height of the bump by more than 10 &mgr;m. The resin sealed electronic device is integrated in a unit including the hybrid circuit board mounting the flip chip type monolithic IC through transfer molding with the transfer molding resin, and the bump is restrained from moving by the transfer molding resin flowing around at transfer-molding.

The object of this invention is to reduce shift shocks by controlling the driving torque during gear shift changing so that the driving torque is represented by a smooth, ideal waveform. The driving torque calculating means estimates the output shaft torque of the automatic transmission from the engine torque characteristic or torque converter characteristic and, based on the estimated driving torque, generate a targeted torque pattern during gear shift changing. The engine torque control value calculating means calculates the control value for controlling the engine output torque, i.e., an ignition timing correction value .DELTA..theta.ig, so as to eliminate the deviation between the targeted torque and the driving torque estimated by the driving torque calculating means. This ignition timing correction approximates the driving torque to the smooth targeted torque. This configuration realizes the object mentioned above.

Powertrain control device

The object of this invention is to reduce shift shocks by controlling the driving torque during gear shift changing so that the driving torque is represented by a smooth, ideal waveform. The driving torque calculating means estimates the output shaft torque of the automatic transmission from the engine torque characteristic or torque converter characteristic and, based on the estimated driving torque, generate a targeted torque pattern during gear shift changing. The engine torque control value calculating means calculates the control value for controlling the engine output torque, i.e., an ignition timing correction value .DELTA..theta.ig, so as to eliminate the deviation between the targeted torque and the driving torque estimated by the driving torque calculating means. This ignition timing correction approximates the driving torque to smooth the targeted torque.

Disclosed is a driving torque control device for a vehicle comprising the elements. The device can effectively suppress fluctuation of engine torque. (1) Means for calculating a torque control timing to determine and output at least two control timings of an engine torque generated by an engine during speed shifting. (2) Means for calculating and outputting an engine torque control quantity in response to the output from said torque control timing calculating means to calculate and output the engine torque control quantity (3) Means for controlling the engine torque during speed shifting in response to the outputs from said engine torque control quantity calculating means. A control unit outputs a data through an execution of each frequency of an engine driving operation condition such as an operation amount of an accelerator pedal, an engine speed, and a gear position. Frequency distribution of the engine driving condition is made through an addition processing and a subtraction processing in an area division. The present target throttle opening degree is determined through an area division judgment in the control unit. An actual throttle opening degree is adjusted so as to become a target throttle opening degree. The target throttle opening degree is searched through a map for searching the target throttle opening degree. The obtained engine control conditions are stored and memorized successively in the control unit, and an engine control characteristic is selected in sequence according to the memorized results. An operation characteristic corresponding to the driver's driving operation is selected and an optimum operability performance is obtained.
