A sheet reversing apparatus which has a take-in path, a reversing path which extends from the take-in path in a substantially same direction, a take-out path which extends from a junction of the take-in path and the reversing path in a substantially perpendicular direction to the extending direction of the reversing path. A sheet is fed from the take-in path to the reversing path, and when the trailing edge of the sheet comes out of the take-in path, the sheet is fed back from the reversing path to the take-out path. In an entrance portion of the reversing path, a first reversing roller which is driven to rotate in a feed-back direction toward the take-in path and a second reversing roller which is capable of coming into contact with and moving away from the first reversing roller are provided. The second reversing roller is away from the first reversing roller until the trailing edge of a sheet comes out of the take-in path, and comes into contact with the first reversing roller after the trailing edge comes out of the take-in path.

Sheet reversing apparatus for a copying machine

An electrophotographic copying apparatus incorporating therein an improved slit control device, which control device includes a blade member extending across the width of a photoreceptor drum. The width of the blade member in a direction normal to the axis of the photoreceptor drum is so arranged as to gradually increase toward its opposite ends in comparison with a generally uniform width in its central portion so as to form a slit which is wide in the central portion and gradually narrowed toward opposite ends, by which arrangement a sharp and definite image of an original is formed even on a photoreceptor drum of small diameter.

Electrophotographic copying apparatus with novel exposure slit means

An apparatus is provided for adjusting the exposure of the photoconductive member of an electrostatic copier, which permits fine adjustment of the exposure of the photoconductive member by providing a shade for the partial control of the light path for exposure, thereby effecting an error adjustment of the photoconductive member, the optical system, the projection lamp, etc., separately from the main exposure value control system.

Apparatus for adjusting exposure in electrostatic copier

A control mechanism for use in a photoelectrostatic copying machine utilizing a roll of recording medium as a source of material on which an image of the original to be copied is reproduced, which control mechanism controls the sequence of operation of various operating elements of the copying machine. The control mechanism for this purpose utilizes a rotatable cam assembly which, during rotation thereof through first and second predetermined angles, actuates first and second microswitches, respectively, which are electrically coupled to the feeder mechanism, illumination device and electrostatic charger and the drive unit for moving a transparent support structure for support of the original to be copied thereon. A third microswitch electrically coupled to the cutter unit may be actuated by either the cam assemby or an operating member adjustably carried by either of the transparent support structure and illumination device.
