Disclosed are compounds exhibiting sufficient herbicidal activity at low application dosage when they are applied to soils and foliage, and an agrochemical composition using the same, in particular herbicides. The compounds are triazine derivatives represented by following Formula 1 or salts thereof, and the herbicides containing them: [Chem. 28] wherein in the formula, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom; a C-Calkyl group; a C-Calkenyl group, etc., Rrepresents a C-Calkyl group, etc., Y and Z represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, and A represents a 5- or 6-membered cyclic group which may contain a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom, or a sulfur atom.

Provided are 2-pyridone derivatives which have excellent herbicidal activity and exhibit high safety to useful crops and so on; salts thereof; and herbicides containing same. In more detail, 2-pyridone derivatives represented by general formula [I] or agrochemically acceptable salts thereof, and herbicides containing these compounds are provided. In general formula [I], Xis an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; X, X, and Xare to each CH or N(O); m is an integer of 0 or 1; Ris a hydrogen atom, a Calkyl group, or the like; Ris a halogen atom, a cyano group, or the like; n is an integer of 0 to 4; Ris a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, or the like; Ais C(RR); Ais C(RR) or C&#x2550;O; Ais C(RR); and R, R, R, R, R, and Rare each independently a hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group.

Ring-fused 2-pyridone derivatives and herbicides

Pyridone derivative and herbicide

A magnetic shielding material is described which has a laminate structure comprising a ferromagnetic sheet having a high saturation magnetic flux density, a ferromagnetic sheet having a high magnetic permeability and a non-magnetic sheet. The high saturation magnetic flux density sheet includes a sheet of mold steel, silicon steel or an iron-cobalt alloy. The high magnetic permeability sheet includes an amorphous alloy foil or a laminate thereof. The magnetic shielding material may further have at least one foil of an electromagnetic wave-shielding material.

Process for electroplating amorphous alloys

A hydrogen embrittlement tester, for a metal sample, has a vise device for holding the sample. For testing bend fracture, the distance between both ends of the sample is measured, which corresponds to that of the distance between the sample holding members. For testing the delayed fracture, the time from when the sample is held until it is fractured is measured. Hydrogen embrittlement tester

Stainless steel can be directly plated with gold by a process wherein stainless steel is dipped in an activating solution; the activated stainless steel is subjected to cathodic electrolysis in a cathode electrolytic activation solution and then the treated stainless steel is directly plated with gold. A preferable activating solution contains (i) 3-20 wt. % of HCl, (ii) 2-30 wt. % of H.sub.2 SO.sub.4, (iii) 0.1-5 wt. % of a nonionic or cationic surfactant and (iv) 0.1-20 wt. % of 2-pyrrolidone or N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone. A preferable cathode electrolytic activation solution contains (i) 5-20 wt. % of H.sub.3 PO.sub.4, (ii) 2-10% HNO.sub.3, (iii) 0.1-5 wt. % of a nonionic or cationic surfactant and (iv) 0.1-20 wt. % of 2-pyrrolidone or N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone.
