A storage device, which has a simple structure and a low connection resistance and is robust, and which is ease to mount is provided. In the storage device, an L-shaped aluminum busbarprotrudes from the center of the top of a sealing plateto the right. The busbarhas a barrel portionand a projecting parthorizontally protruding from the top end of the barrel portion. A terminal holeis made in an end of the projecting part, so that the positive electrode of another unitary cell to be connected in series can be connected. The barrel portionof the busbaris welded to the sealing plateand the length of the projecting partis minimized. Accordingly, the device is robust and has a low resistance, and consequently can deal with a large current.

Storage device

An electrochemical device comprises a pair of electrodes having electrode layers formed on strip-like collectors except on their strip-like portions along a longitudinal side of the strip-like collectors; strip-like separators insulating these; two collector plates connected to the strip-like portions; a case accommodating these; a lid for sealing the case; a pair of terminals connected to the collector plates and being connectable to an outside of the case. The pair of terminals is respectively connected to the lid and the case, and the pair of electrodes are wound interposing the separators therebetween, and the strip-like portions are located on both end surfaces. The electrochemical device has high volume density and low internal resistance and it can be manufactured in short time.

Electrochemical device comprising a pair of electrodes and an electrolyte

A laminated electric double layer capacitor module having electrode assemblies with positive and negative electrodes disposed to face each other, an ion permeable separator disposed between adjacent electrode assemblies so as to separate respective electrode layers from each other, a metal current collector plate for the positive electrodes, and a metal current collector plate for the negative electrodes, an electrolyte, and a module case. The electrode assemblies, the separators, and the current collector plates for the positive and negative electrodes are integrated into a laminated assembly of the capacitor module. A plurality of laminated assemblies are accommodated in a plurality of element compartments and electrically connected in series.
