A seat provided with an air bag module, including a seat back having a back pad, a seat back frame for supporting the back pad, and a trim cover covering the back pad and the seat back frame, the back pad having a cavity, an air bag module having an air bag and an inflator for causing the air bag to be inflated and developed, the air bag module being accommodated in the cavity of the back pad and attached to the seat back frame, the trim cover having a sewing portion acting as a breaking portion broken according to an inflation and development of the air bag, first and second stay cloths provided in the trim cover by sewing the first and second stay cloths together with the sewing portion of the trim cover, terminals of the first and second stay cloths being taken into the cavity of the back pad so as to wrap the air bag module, and a support wire system arranged at the back of the air bag module for pulling and supporting the first and second stay cloths, the support wire system coupled to the terminals of the first and second stay cloths and engaged with the seat back frame.

Seat provided with air bag module

The invention provides an air bag apparatus which can securely prevent gas, generated from an inflator, from leaking from an insertion port of an air bag provided in a mounting base portion of the air bag. The air bag apparatus has a gas generating inflator ( ) for expanding and developing an air bag ( ) assembled in an inner portion from an insertion port ( ) provided in a mounting base portion ( ) of the air bag ( ). The inflator ( ) is positioned inside the air bag ( ). An internal contact fabric ( ) for closing the insertion port ( ) of the air bag ( ) from the inner side is provided for preventing a gas leakage, and an external contact fabric ( ) is provided for reinforcing the bag mounting base portion ( ).

Air bag apparatus

In a seat with a side air bag system, of two stay clothes ( ) continuously extending from a sewing portion corresponding to a breaking portion ( ) of a trim cover ( ), one stay cloth ( ) is taken into a cavity ( ) from an opening edge of a back pad ( ), the other stay cloth ( ) is taken into the cavity ( ) of the back pad ( ) from a front side of an air bag system ( ) so as to wrap the air bag system ( ) with two stay clothes ( ), the stay clothes ( ) are connected and supported by wear plates ( ) gripping and fixing a take-in end of each of the stay clothes ( ) between the air bag system ( ) and the side plate ( ). Accordingly, each of the stay clothes ( ) can be easily assembled and the air bag system ( ) can be directly wrapped with two stay clothes so as to efficiently concentrate an inflating pressure of the air bag on the sewing portion corresponding to the breaking portion ( ) of the trim cover ( ), thereby quickly inflating and developing the air bag.

Seat provided with side air bag system

In a seat with a side air bag system, of two stay cloths ( ) continuously extending from a sewing portion corresponding to a breaking portion ( ) of a trim cover ( ), one stay cloth ( ) is taken into a cavity ( ) from an opening edge of a back pad ( ) so as to fasten a take-in end within the cavity, the other stay cloth ( ) is rolled in a rear side of the back pad ( ) from a front side of an air bag system ( ) so as to fasten a roll-in end in the rear side of the back pad, and the air bag system is wrapped by the two stay cloths. Accordingly, each of the stay cloths ( ) can be easily assembled and the air bag system ( ) can be directly wrapped by the two stay cloths so as to efficiently concentrate an inflating pressure of the air bag on the sewing portion corresponding to the breaking portion ( ) of the trim cover ( ), thereby quickly inflating and developing the air bag.
