The present invention provides a process for producing a cycloalkanone oxime by conducting a continuous ammoximation reaction in the presence of a titanosilicate catalyst with supplying a cycloalkanone, hydrogen peroxide, ammonia and an organic solvent into the reaction system, wherein the reaction temperature is from 90&#xb0; C. to 120&#xb0; C. and the supplying amount of the organic solvent is not more than 2 times by weight of that of the cycloalkanone.

Process for producing cycloalkanone oximes

A process for producing cyclohexanone oxime is provided: (1) reacting cyclohexanone, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in the presence of a titanosilicate catalyst to give a reaction solution containing cyclohexanone oxime, water, unreacted ammonia and unreacted cyclohexanone, (2) distilling off ammonia, (3) an extraction step, (4) mixing the organic layer obtained in step (3) with water followed by separating into an organic and aqueous layers, (5) distilling off organic solvent and water to obtain a bottom product containing cyclohexanone oxime and cyclohexanone, and (6) distilling off cyclohexanone and to obtain a bottom product containing cyclohexanone oxime; wherein a compound selected from an oxide, an oxo acid, an oxo acid salt, an oxo acid ester and an oxo acid amide of boron or phosphorous is added to at least one of the water used in the step (4) and the organic layer obtained in step (4) to be subjected to step (5).

Process for producing cyclohexanone oxime

Cycloalkanone oxime is stabilized by a method comprising bringing the cycloalkanone oxime into contact with at least one compound selected from the group consisting of oxoacids, oxoacid salts, oxoacid esters, oxoacid amides and oxides of boron or phosphorus. In accordance with the invention, the thermal stability of cycloalkanone oxime can be improved.

A process for producing an oxime is provided, wherein the process comprises the step of reacting a ketone, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in the presence of a crystalline titanosilicate having MWW structure under the condition that the ammonia concentration in the liquid portion of the reaction mixture is about 1% by weight or more. By the process, an ammoximation reaction of the ketone can be carried out with a high conversion of the ketone and a high selectivity to the oxime corresponding to the ketone, thereby producing the oxime with a high yield.

In producing cyclohexanone oxime by a method comprising the step of reacting cyclohexanone, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in the presence of titanium silicate, a brand-new titanium silicate and a recycled titanium silicate which has been recovered from a production method of cyclohexanone oxime are used. In accordance with the present invention, cyclohexanone is subjected to ammoximation by hydrogen peroxide and ammonia with suppressing the degradation- of titanium silicate as a catalyst, to produce cyclohexanone oxime with a high yield.

Method for producing cyclohexanone oxime

A cyclohexanone oxime is produced in a method comprising the step of reacting a cyclohexanone with a hydrogen peroxide and an ammonia in the presence of a titanium silicate and a silicon compound other than the titanium silicate. In the method, the reaction is conducted with suppressing the inactivation of the titanium silicate as a catalyst, to produce the cyclohexanone oxime with a high yield.

A high purity &egr;-caprolactam is prepared by pouring a molten crude &egr;-caprolactam and a solvent comprising an aliphatic hydrocarbon and having a lower temperature than that of the crude &egr;-caprolactam, into a vessel and mixing them to obtain a first slurry containing a crystallized &egr;-caprolactam. The slurry is then subjected to a solid-liquid separation to obtain &egr;-caprolactam and a first liquid phase. This process can effectively remove impurities from a crude &egr;-caprolactam, which is obtained by for example, subjecting cyclohexanone oxime to the Beckmann rearrangement.

Process for producing &egr;-caprolactam

The present invention provides a method for producing &egr;-caprolactam which comprises the step of treating, with water, a reaction product containing 1-aza-2-alkoxy-1-cycloheptene, which is obtained by gas phase Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclohexanone oxime using a solid catalyst in the presence of alcohol, to eliminate the 1-aza-2-alkoxy-1-cycloheptene. The resulting &egr;-caprolactam usually has a 1-aza-2-alkoxy-1-cycloheptene content of 100 ppm or less, preferably 25 ppm or less, more preferably 10 ppm or less and, therefore, has low free basicity and good qualities.

A high purity &egr;-caprolactam is prepared by crystallizing an &egr;-caprolactam from a hydrocarbon solution containing a crude &egr;-caprolactam, and allowing the crystallized &egr;-caprolactam in contact with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst. This process can effectively remove impurities from a crude &egr;-caprolactam, which is obtained by subjecting cyclohexanone oxime to the Beckmann rearrangement, and provide a high purity &egr;-caprolactam.

A process is disclosed for producing an amine by carrying out a reductive amination of a cyclic ketone or by carrying out a reduction of an imino derivative of a cyclic ketone to the corresponding amine which process is characterized in using a cobalt catalyst containing a carbonate of an alkaline earth metal and/or lanthanum oxide.
