A tool holder of a machine tool, in which the machine tool includes a spindle head and a spindle supported by the spindle head, includes: a shank portion attached to the spindle; a rotary portion integrally provided to the shank portion and to which a welding tool (processing tool) used for friction stir welding is attachable; a bearing mechanism (bearing) supporting the rotary portion so that the rotary portion is rotatable; and a bearing holder holding the bearing mechanism, in which the bearing holder is disposed facing the spindle head and is capable of transmitting a load applied to the bearing mechanism to the spindle head.

Tool holder and machine tool

A friction stir welding tool attachable to a spindle of a machine tool includes: a shank connected to the spindle; a chuck connected to the shank through a heat insulating portion; a welding tool connected to the chuck and usable for friction stir welding; and a cooling jacket provided on a circumferential surface of the chuck. The cooling jacket is provided with a refrigerant path for delivering a refrigerant.

A circuit design support apparatus partially converts a description of a circuit model to simulate the circuit operation. A register signal replacement section replaces a register signal with a variable in a process related with the register signal of the description and inserts a declaration of the variable in the process instead of a declaration of the register signal in the description. A clock signal simplification section replaces a clock signal with a variable in a clock signal reference process of the description and unifies a clock signal update process to the clock signal reference process in the description.

Circuit design support apparatus and a method

The disclosed hardware and software co-simulator can execute two simulations effectively between two simulators each for executing simulation independently, by eliminating the idle times for waiting the execution end of the opposite simulator. The co-simulator is constructed in such a way that the time data generated at which the events transferred between a fist simulator and a second simulator occur can be extracted by analyzing the simulation data; and the expected occurrence times of the events to be transferred between the simulators are previously indicated to each simulator on the basis of the event occurrence time data.

Hardware and software co-simulator and its method

A hardware verification module performs simulation for hardware verification with input from an RT-level processor model and an RT-level hardware description. All abstraction module abstracts from the RT-level hardware description on a processor input/output instruction operation level to generate an abstracted description describing an instruction-level hardware description. A software verification module performs simulation for software verification with input from an instruction-level processor model and the abstracted description.

Disclosed is a test assistant system for a logical design process comprising a description storage data base for storing statements expressing logical functions of circuit components to be tested, a compiler for compiling the statements to output object data, a data base for storing the object data, a test pattern generator for generating test patterns by using the object data stored in the data base, a test pattern data base for storing the test patterns, each having a level number, a simulator for executing a simulation for the logical function by using the test patterns stored in the test pattern data base, and a display for displaying the object data, the test patterns, the information used in the simulation, and relationships among them. The data base comprises a region for storing a statement correspondence table expressing statements as descriptions of the logical functions of the circuit components, a region for storing a circuit component table expressing a circuit component corresponding to the function described in the statement, a region for storing a dependent relationship table expressing the dependent relationship between the statements, and a correspondence relationship table expressing the correspondence relationship between the statement correspondence table and the circuit component table.
