Disclosed is a substrate holding structure including: a cylindrical side wall portion that forms an accommodating space; a holding wall portion protruding inward of the accommodating space from the side wall portion; a plurality of press fit terminals held by the holding wall portion, protruding toward an opening of the side wall portion, and pressedly inserted into holes of a substrate accommodated in the accommodating space; and a flexible arm portion protruding toward the opening from a position closer to the side wall portion than the press fit terminals of the holding wall portion, have flexibility, and having a hook portion configured to lock a surface on the opening side of the substrate, wherein distal end positions of the press fit terminals and the arm portion are closer to the holding wall portion than an end surface on the opening side of the side wall portion.

Substrate holding structure

A resin molded body includes a connector unit having a side wall and an inner wall, both of which define a fitting chamber to which a mating connector is fitted and having a terminal penetrating through the inner wall and extending in a fitting direction, a substrate accommodating unit accommodating a circuit substrate to which the terminal is connected, and a device accommodating unit accommodating a device connected to the circuit substrate. The resin molded body is an integral molded product made of resin. A connecting portion has a plate shape extending outwards from the inner wall of the connector unit, and a second thickness thinner than a first thickness of the inner wall. The connecting portion is linked to the device accommodating unit.

Resin molded body

Provided is a technology with which, when producing a resin molded article, the inside of which is provided with an insert component such as a terminal fitting, it is possible to prevent the insert component from being exposed at an inappropriate position, and to ensure the desired positional accuracy. In an injection molding device, the accuracy of the position of a terminal is improved by allowing a core-back mold to move after a terminal, which is an insert component, has been inserted in a terminal tip holding section of a slide mold. By allowing the core-back mold to move by only a prescribed amount prior to injection molding, a resin wall is formed between the core-back mold and the terminal. The inappropriate exposure and shorting of and the adhesion of foreign substances to, and the like, the terminal can thus be prevented.

A movable connector includes a first member, a second member that is adapted to be fixed to the first member, a first connector that is fixed to the first member, a holder that is integrally formed on the second member, and a second connector that is provided within the holder so as to move in a first direction perpendicular to a second direction in which the first connector is connected to the second connector. The first connector is connected to the second connector in accordance with an operation for fixing the first member to the second member.

Movable connector

A female terminal fitting includes a bottom plate which extends in a front-back direction, a female electrical contact portion formed on a front side of the bottom plate, a board connecting portion extending backward of the bottom plate, and a stress relaxation portion. The bottom plate has a first stress relaxation portion which is resiliently deformable in an up-down direction. A side wall is erected from and formed on at least one side portion of the bottom plate in a right-left direction. A connecting portion connects to the board connecting portion in a state that the board connecting portion is arranged so as to be parallel to the front-back direction and is located more inside than the side wall. The connecting portion is a second stress relaxation portion which is resiliently deformable in the right-left direction and in the front-back direction.

Female terminal fitting

A terminal fitting includes first and second terminal fitting components. The first terminal fitting component includes a first flat plate having a through hole and caulking pieces. The caulking pieces stand up from both edges in the width direction of the first flat plate. The second terminal fitting component includes a second flat plate having a projection. The projection is inserted in the through hole, an end part of the projection is crushed, and the second flat plate is caulked with the caulking pieces so that the first and second terminal fitting components are fixed to each other, thereby obtaining the terminal fitting.

A movable connector 21 for absorbing misregistration thereof with a mating connector when the two connectors are fitted together includes a connector housing 23, a support plate 25 which is formed integrally with the connector housing 23, and is parallel to a plane perpendicular to an axis e of fitting of the connector housing 23, and a retaining portion 29 which is formed on and projects from one face of the support plate 25 facing away from a connector fitting surface 27 of the connector housing 23, and is movably retained in a mounting hole 35 formed in a mounting member 33.

A rotation preventing structure adapted to regulate the excessive rotation of a movable connector 31 is disclosed. During connection, the position of the connector may shift so as to align with a mating connector. A structure is disclosed which limits such a shift. The structure comprises: a rectangular mounting hole 43 formed in a mounting member 41; a supporting board 35 coupled to a connector housing 33; a locking member 37 protruded from one surface of the supporting board 35, the locking member being inserted into the mounting hole 43 and locked to the mounting hole 43; and rotation regulating means 47 and 49 provided on the mounting member and the supporting board 35 to regulate the rotation of the movable connector about the inserting central axis c of the locking member 37. The rotation regulating means may include protrusions 47 locatable on either the support board 35 or on the mounting member 41.

A terminal fixture of the present invention comprises an electric wire connection member connected to the terminal of an electric wire; a pair of elastic contact members in which the respective top ends of a pair of side plates opposite to each other and bent in the same direction from a bottom plate are bent inward in a reverse U-shape; and a protective plate member comprising a front protective plate provided integrally with the above-mentioned bottom plate on the front side of the pair of elastic contact members, a pair of side protective plates which surround the outside of the above-mentioned pair of side plates and is formed by bending both the sides of the front protective plate on the above-mentioned electric wire connection member side, and a top plate which is located between the above-mentioned electric wire connection member and the above-mentioned pair of elastic contact members and top end thereof is extendedly provided from the one side protective plate and locked to the other side protective plate.

Terminal fixture and a method of manufacturing the same

The disclosed terminal part can protect the elastic contact portion securely, without increasing the manufacturing cost thereof. The terminal part (43) is formed with a wire connecting portion (3); an elastic contact portion (5); and a top plate portion (49) formed between the wire connecting portion (3) and the elastic contact portion (5). The top plate portion (49) has a lower top plate portion (45) and an upper top plate portion (47). In particular, a lower engage projection (55) formed at the end of the lower top plate portion (45) is engaged with an upper engage hole (57) formed in the upper top plate portion (47), and further an upper engage hook (41) formed at the end of the upper top plate portion (47) is engaged with a lower engage hole (39) formed in the lower top plate portion (45). Therefore, it is possible to securely protect the two side plate portions (13, 15) from being deformed inward even if an external force (F3) is applied to the terminal part inadvertently.

Terminal parts and method of manufacturing same

A movable connector includes guide projections projecting on the opposite side faces of a housing of the movable connector, tapered faces formed on the top ends of the guide projections, a pair of side guide plates provided on fitting faces of a fitting-paired-side connector so as to project therefrom, a front guide plate provided on the fitting faces of the fitting-paired-side connector so as to project therefrom, spaces formed in corner portions between the side guide plates and the front guide plate so that the guide projections are inserted into the spaces, and guide faces formed on the top ends of the side guide plates so as to be inclined toward the spaces to come into contact with the tapered faces of the guide projections.

Fitting structure of movable connector

The invention relates to a connector terminal and a method of producing the same. The terminal, even if small in size, has a large allowable maximum deflection, and is excellent in durability, and the terminal of a one-part type can be produced from a relatively inexpensive thin metal sheet, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. More specifically, the terminal is formed from a single thin metal sheet, and has a receptive portion and a spring portion formed at a front portion of a base plate for engaging with a mating terminal, and a wire connecting portion formed at a rear portion of the base plate. The thickness of the spring portion is smaller than that of the remainder of the terminal. In a shaping step of a process including blanking and pressing, only the spring portion is rolled into a thickness smaller than that of the remainder.

Method of producing connector terminal

A resilient connecting part of an electric connecting device is formed by folding back one sheet of metal base into a multilayer, so that the maximum displacement of the resilient connecting part is regulated according to the thickness of the metal base, the number of layers (3 layers) and layer-to-layer gaps.

An object of the present invention is to provide a connector with a fitting confirmation mechanism having a completely fitting detection lock lever which is easily pivotally mounted on the connector. According to the present invention, an electrical connector comprises a pair of connector housings fitted from each other, one connector has a lock lever for detecting a completely engagement of the other connector, flexible engagement plate portions provided at both end portions of a bearing portion of the lock lever, the flexible engagement plate portions having an engagement guide surface and an engagement hole, support bosses which are confronted with each other projected from the other connector, and the bosses engaged with the engagement holes by abutting the engagement guide surface against the bosses.

Electrical connector with fitting confirmation mechanism

A connector for retaining a metal terminal having an engagement portion therein. The connector includes a connector housing having a terminal receiving hole for receiving the terminal therein. The connector housing has a flexible retaining member extending therefrom which is engageable with the engagement portion of the terminal when the terminal is in a completely engaged position. A retaining reinforcement member is insertable into the connector housing to retain the flexible retaining member engaged in the terminal. Specifically, the reinforcement member includes a groove defined by opposing retaining walls. When the reinforcement member is inserted into the connector housing, the flexible retaining piece is positioned in the groove and surrounded on opposite sides by the retaining walls which prevent lateral displacement of the retaining member.
