A camera capable of magnetic recording includes a pressing pad for a magnetic head. The pressing pad is secured to the camera body and the head is made movable in order to increase the proximity of the head to the film and to enable reliable application to a low-cost, compact focal plane shutter camera. Above and below the aperture in the camera body, there are provided a pair of film rails and a pair of pressure plate rails formed so as to be higher than the film rails. An extended portion is formed on the film rail, and in the center of the extended portion, a recessed portion is made. A graded portion is formed to the left side of the extended portion, and a circular arc portion is formed to its left side. Below the pressure plate, there are provided a hole through which the magnetic head is secured to an actuating member with a mounting portion pressing the film, and a pair of stoppers for limiting the displacement of the magnetic head in the optical axis direction.

Camera capable of magnetic recording

A camera of this invention is provided with: a housing cover for covering an opening of a patrone housing chamber, a lever movable between a position to lock the housing cover and a position to unlock the housing cover, a movable roller for deciding whether a film is drawn out of a patrone loaded in the patrone housing chamber, a lock lever for allowing the lever to move to the position to unlock the housing cover when it is decided that the film is not drawn out and preventing the lever from moving to the position to unlock said housing cover when it is decided that the film is drawn out, a mount plate for moving to a position to drive a spool shaft of the patrone in correlation to the loading of the patrone and for holding a position between the spool shaft drive position and the opening of the patrone housing chamber when the patrone is not loaded, and an eject lever having a notch for engaging the mount plate in the spool shaft drive position and a bent portion for disengaging the mount plate from the notch in correlation to the movement of the lever to the unlock position. Such structure of the camera prohibits the housing cover from being unlocked when the film is drawn out of the loaded patrone.

Camera

The present invention relates to a camera having a spool drive mechanism for pushing film loaded in a film cassette out of the cassette by rotating a spool. Herein, after a film cassette is mounted, when film is to be pushed out of the film cassette, a drive motor is rotated counterclockwise. A one-way clutch then couples a first pulley gear with a spool drive shaft, thus allowing the spool drive shaft to eject film. For rewinding film into the film cassette, the drive motor is rotated clockwise. This causes a pair of clutch elements to couple a helical gear with the spool drive shaft via the first pulley gear. Film is then rewound.

This invention provides a shutter unit in which a photographing picture size selecting mechanism is disposed by skillfully utilizing a shutter unit without substantially increasing the size of a camera. The shutter unit includes a shutter plate having a shutter driving section, a cover plate facing the shutter plate, a shutter mechanism provided between the cover and shutter plates and opened/closed by the shutter driving section, picture size regulating members which are made of a plurality of thin plates provided on a surface of the cover plate opposite to a surface thereof facing the shutter plate, and a driving section for the picture size regulating members provided on the shutter plate and/or the cover plate, the driving section for the picture size regulating members being provided above the shutter driving section.

Camera capable of selecting a picture size

A camera of the present invention uses photographic film containing a magnetic information recording portion and has a magnetic head magnetically recording or reproducing data on the magnetic information recording portion when the film is transported. A rotary roller is arranged on an opposite side of the film relative to the magnetic head, sandwiching the film therebetween to press a magnetic recording portion of film against the magnetic head, the roller is disposed near a film travelling quantity detecting member rotating linked with film travelling.

Camera having built-in magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus

A camera of the present invention uses photographic film containing a magnetic information recording portion and has a magnetic head magnetically recording or reproducing data on the magnetic information recording portion when the film is transported. A rotary roller is arranged on an opposite side side of the film relative to the magnetic head, sandwiching the film therebetween to press a magnetic recording portion of film against the magnetic head. The roller is disposed near a film travelling quantity detecting member rotating linked with film travelling.

A film cartridge in which a supply spool incorporated in a cartridge body is rotated to supply a film wound on the supply spool out of the cartridge body. A film supply unit rotates the supply spool to supply the film out of the film cartridge. A first control unit controls the film supply unit such that a supply operation of the film is started in response to a closing operation of the rear cover of a camera body. A film take-up unit takes up the film supplied by the film supply unit. A second control unit controls the film take-up unit to operate the film take-up unit upon completion of the supply operation of the film performed by the film supply unit. A third control unit interrupts a take-up operation of the film performed by the film take-up unit and reoperates the film supply unit when the take-up operation of the film is impossible during the take-up operation of the film performed by the film take-up unit.

Automatic film feeding apparatus for camera

The present invention provides a camera for selectively supporting a film having perforations along its upper and lower edges and a film not having the perforations, comprising masking plates for photographic screen size setting that are installed in a camera body to be freely movable to positions at least between the inside and outside of perforations, a perforation detector for determining whether perforations are present on the edges of at least the photographic screens of a film loaded in a camera body, and a masking plate drive for receiving an output of the perforation detector, moving the masking plates to a screen size setting inside of perforations when a film is perforated, and moving the masking plates to a screen size setting including a portion corresponding to the perforations when a film is imperforated.

A flash apparatus which is detachably mounted on a camera main body is operated in a light emission mode of an open control scheme, in which the light emission amount of the light-emitting portion is controlled by a preset guide number, and in a light emission mode of an automatic control scheme, in which the light emission amount of the light-emitting portion is controlled by a metering result obtained by metering light reflected by an object to be photographed. The flash apparatus includes one of the following switches a bounce state detection switch which is turned on when the light emission axis of the light-emitting portion is inclined with respect to the optical axis of a photographing lens, an OFF-camera detection switch which is turned on when the flash apparatus is to be used while it is detached from the camera main body, and a converter mounting detection switch which is turned on when a converter is mounted on the photographing lens. A CPU of the flash apparatus forcibly switches the apparatus to the light emission mode of the automatic control scheme when any one of the detection switches is turned on.
